She was worried Sheng Tang might be casual about it and get caught by journalists.
Sheng Tang appreciated the reminder: "Thanks, sister-in-law. See you at the celebration banquet. Will you be attending as well?"
"I definitely will, but as a family member, I’ll dress casually." Mrs. Liu laughed.
After hanging up, Sheng Tang quickly asked Ke Fei to contact the makeup artist Liangliang.
Liangliang’s makeup skills are exceptional; she always manages to highlight Sheng Tang’s best features.
Sheng Tang has always wanted her as her dedicated makeup artist, but Liangliang has her own studio, and her ambitions likely lie elsewhere.
"Don’t worry," Ke Fei assured her, "As long as I ask her, even if Liangliang has other plans, she’ll prioritize you."
Sheng Tang thanked him again.
The next day, Sheng Tang asked Ai’ai to bring her gown and went to Liangliang’s studio.
Liangliang looked at Sheng Tang’s gown: "It’s beautiful!"
"A friend gifted it to me."
"Your friend is very generous," Liangliang teased her, "This is a haute couture gown from the Etienne Studio, with handcrafted crystal embellishments. It must be worth over two million, right?"
She implied it was a gift from a boyfriend.
Sheng Tang chuckled and didn’t correct the assumption.
Liangliang matched the gown by giving Sheng Tang a very fresh and rosy makeup look, and instructed the stylist to arrange her hair simply.
Liangliang took over four hours to complete Sheng Tang’s styling, costing her eighty thousand.
She was extremely satisfied, feeling it was worth the price.
Liangliang was quite pleased too.
"A chef needs fresh ingredients," she said, "A makeup artist needs good conditions to feel accomplished. Every time I finish your styling, my confidence soars."
Sheng Tang laughed: "Thank you for the compliment."
Ai’ai and Ke Fei came to check out the final look.
"Sister Tang, you’re stunning!" Ai’ai gasped, "You’ll definitely be tonight’s focal point."
Ke Fei said, "When is Tangtang not the focus? Look at this girl, she doesn’t know what to say."
Ai’ai scrunched her nose: "Brother Fei, why are you stirring things up?"
Everyone burst into laughter.
Sheng Tang laughed heartily too.
Having done her styling, she called William again to see if he was ready: "I’m ready to head out. Will you join me in the limo?"
Tonight, her companion wasn’t Gu Jiahui.
Although Liu Taofang suggested she bring her boyfriend, there would be a red carpet event broadcast live, with attendance peaking possibly in the tens of millions.
After all, it’s a celebration banquet with supermodels.
