Chapter 532: Chapter 532: Sharing an Umbrella
The students were still trying to find a way and hadn’t left yet.
When Sheng Tang and Gu Shiting went downstairs, the students upstairs leaned on the railing, watching while worrying.
Gu Shiting’s umbrella was very large, big enough for two people. But for some reason, he naturally and skillfully put his arm around Sheng Tang’s shoulder and pulled her into his embrace.
Sheng Tang: "..."
She heard the onlookers cheering.
Gu Shiting heard it too. A glimmer flashed in his lowered eyes, and he forcibly suppressed the urge to smile, pretending nothing had happened.
Sheng Tang: Dude, this is one of those uncivilized behaviors on campus.
The rain quickly soaked her pants and shoes, and Gu Shiting was not much better off.
They waded carefully all the way out of the teaching building onto the main road, where his car was parked.
Other students’ cars weren’t allowed in the campus, but Young Master Gu’s was.
The driver quickly opened the door for them.
Gu Shiting gestured for Sheng Tang to get in first, his hand instinctively hovering over the top of the car door. Once she was seated, he walked around to the other side and got in as well.
Jiang Baocu and the others saw it all.
Ouyang Di leaned on Jiang Baocu, clutching her heart and said, "When can I get a boyfriend too? I’m so jealous of Sheng Tang."
"Me too!" Shi Niannian chimed in.
Jiang Baocu: "I don’t have a boyfriend either. You guys stop that, or it’ll mess with everyone’s mindset."
As they talked, a few boys looked over, stunned by the girls’ shamelessness.
The boys wouldn’t dare openly complain about not having a partner, yet the girls started it first.
"It’s all Sheng Tang’s fault, making us eat dog food every day." Ouyang Di said again.
Feng Yijin sat quietly in the classroom, doing the homework assigned by the teacher.
She didn’t have an umbrella either and didn’t know how to get back, so she decided not to move and finish her homework first. The school would surely find a way to let the students’ drivers in later.
Her hair had grown longer, still able to cover most of her face.
It was as if she couldn’t face people; she kept her head down all day.
Her academic performance, however, was steadily improving, much like Sheng Tang’s last semester, reinventing herself.
Suddenly, someone tapped on her desk and placed an umbrella in front of her.
Feng Yijin looked up and saw Chen Shen.
She immediately felt a physical disgust, wanting to vomit. She angrily swept the umbrella away, and it hit the classroom door with a soft thud.
Many students were still in the classroom and hallway.
Seeing this, some looked over.
"It’s Chen Shen!"
"What’s he up to now?"
Chen Shen’s face didn’t look good.
When Feng Yijin looked up, he saw her face and thought she was really quite pretty. Without the monstrous makeup she used to wear, she was a rather delicate and attractive girl.
Who would’ve thought, even without makeup, she’d still have such a fiery temper.
Chen Shen wanted to say something, but the students were all watching, making it seem like he wanted to flirt with Feng Yijin. Annoyed, he kicked the umbrella and went back to his seat.
Feng Yijin couldn’t sit still anymore.
She quickly packed her backpack, ignoring the heavy rain outside, and left the teaching building.
The rain was still heavy.
A boy, looking lazy and boneless, half-asleep, walked over from the senior area with an umbrella.
"Hey, can I share this with you?" Feng Yijin called out to him, "I need to get to the school gate."
The boy seemed a bit surprised.
"Oh, sure." He was still half-asleep, his backpack almost falling off his arm, nearly hitting Feng Yijin in the head.
