Grandpa really likes Sheng Tang.
That was within Gu Shiting’s expectations. The Tangtang he had his eyes on was the best person in the world, so naturally, his family liked her a lot.
The next day, the two of them had to go to school and left the nursing home separately.
Gu Shiting’s parents and his uncle and aunt all rushed back from out of town.
Gu Shiyan also returned to the film crew. Her scenes were heavy these days, so it wouldn’t be right to keep everyone waiting for her.
On Tuesday, Gu Shiting told Sheng Tang that his grandpa was discharged from the hospital.
Ever since he publicly held Sheng Tang’s hand, he’d been clinging to her in all kinds of ways.

Sheng Tang was eating happily with Jiang Baocu and their group of girlfriends when Gu Shiting rudely interrupted.
If she didn’t go up to the third floor with him, he would squeeze into the first floor.
His presence was too strong. Classmates nearby cautiously avoided him, which made Jiang Baocu tense during meals and later suffer from indigestion and stomach pain.
"Ancestor, I beg you, just go with him," Jiang Baocu pushed Sheng Tang. "He’s drawing all the attention over here. I feel like a thief being watched."
Jiang Baocu was a normal person; she couldn’t handle those prying eyes and was going crazy.
Sheng Tang had no choice but to part ways with her.
Luckily, the two of them were desk mates, so even if they didn’t eat lunch together, they stuck together every day.
Occasionally, Jiang Baocu would bring her a bottle of plain yogurt, and Sheng Tang would bring her some drinks or snacks in return.
After May, the weather gradually got hotter.
The school switched to short-sleeved uniforms and long pants.
Students were no longer allowed to wear extra clothes under their uniforms, making the attire in the classrooms exceptionally uniform.
Gu Shiting and Sheng Tang walking together were dressed in the same outfits.
Except for the first time, they didn’t hold hands on campus—just walked together politely.
Once, they even ran into Yang Mingming.
Yang Mingming pretended not to see them, quickly passing by with her group of girlfriends.
"What is she up to this time?" Sheng Tang wondered.
Yang Mingming’s mother had told her to lay low; Gu Jiahui had told her to make long-term plans.
Yang Mingming knew Gu Jiahui loved her, but she appreciated his wisdom even more: he loved her without demanding a response, knowing they were not of the same status, not daring to hope for her love in return.
This made Yang Mingming even more satisfied.
She considered Gu Jiahui a confidant and was willing to listen to his advice.
Sheng Tang bumped into Gu Jiahui twice more at the school gate; he was there to pick up Yang Mingming.
He seemed a bit tanned and more vigorous.
Quite a few girls approached to talk with him, and unlike Gu Shiting, he didn’t push them away.
When he spoke gently, his gaze through his glasses carried a hint of tenderness, as if the person he was talking to was being held carefully in his hand.
"A natural actor," Sheng Tang commented.
He also greeted Sheng Tang.
"Congratulations, you finally went public," Gu Jiahui said. "I thought you’d never dare to say it."
Sheng Tang happened to be a bit hungry, so she bought a bottle of skim milk at school. It was almost empty, making a sucking noise with the straw.
She removed her lips from the straw: "There’s nothing to be afraid of. I haven’t done anything wrong."
Gu Jiahui smiled.
The next day, after school, Sheng Tang ran into Sun Lanlan at the school gate.
Sun Lanlan was the owner of that flower shop and was quite familiar with Gu Jiahui.
She handed a bouquet of flowers to Sheng Tang: "Here, someone sent these for you."
Quite a few people saw it and thought it might be from Gu Shiting.
Sheng Tang didn’t want to make it awkward for Sun Lanlan, so she accepted the flowers, but discarded them halfway home.
