Chapter 524: Chapter 524: The Young Master’s Hobby

Sheng Tang had no idea about the tricky thoughts of the Sheng Family; her worries were already enough to consume her.

Gu Shiting seemed to really like the environment on Grandpa’s side, especially enjoying fishing.

He, a rich second generation, didn’t enjoy high-end sports. Sheng Tang was the one who taught him golf, but even after learning, he showed no interest. Usually, besides reading, he would either be drawing or studying advanced university physics.

The only thing he genuinely liked was fishing.

Sheng Tang sometimes wondered if there was an old man living in his body.

Grandpa also loved fishing; he could sit quietly with Gu Shiting for an entire afternoon.

After the parents left, Sheng Tang, Gu Shiting, and Sheng Zong stayed at Grandpa’s place for three more days before leaving.

During these three days, every afternoon, Gu Shiting would go fishing at a nearby farmstay with Grandpa. They seemed to enjoy it immensely, even though they didn’t catch much.

Meanwhile, Sheng Zong played games on his phone, and Sheng Tang would go running along the small path beside the villa area.

In the evenings, Gu Shiting would personally cook dinner for them.

"You don’t need to; we have a cook," Grandpa said. "Are you not used to the cook’s food?"

"No, I like being in the kitchen," Gu Shiting replied.

Grandpa: "..."

This kid’s hobbies were really hard for ordinary people to understand.

Leaning on the sofa playing games, Sheng Zong said to Grandpa, "Let Brother Ting cook; his food is exceptionally delicious."

That evening, Grandpa tasted the freshest fish roe fried rice and immediately wanted to fire the family cook.

Gu Shiting’s culinary skills amazed even Grandpa, who had tasted all kinds of gourmet delicacies.

Sheng Tang scooped a big spoonful of fish roe fried rice and said to Grandpa, "Ting can quickly grasp anything he learns and then become the best at it."

Gu Shiting smiled.

From a young age, he excelled at everything he learned, but he never thought it was a big deal. However, after Sheng Tang’s compliment, he suddenly felt a bit proud.

These three days went by especially fast, and it was a rare joy for Gu Shiting, with Grandpa having an even better time.

It seemed like Grandpa was experiencing the happiness of having children and grandchildren around for the first time.

"Tangtang, Ting is a good kid." On the last night before their departure, Grandpa specifically called Sheng Tang into the study to chat.

Sheng Tang: "I know."

"So why are you worried?"

Sheng Tang: "..."

As people get older, they really seem to gain some wisdom that lets them see through everything.

"I..."

"Are you worried about the disparity in status and position, fearing it won’t last?" Grandpa guessed.

"No," Sheng Tang said. "I’m not worried about that. Ting isn’t that kind of person; his requirements are actually quite simple."

"Then what are you afraid of?"

Sheng Tang pondered for a long time but still couldn’t answer Grandpa’s question because she didn’t know what she was afraid of either.

The only fear was that Gu Shiting was too young. When he grew up, he might realize he didn’t want someone like her, and by then, he couldn’t shake off the guilt, leaving their relationship in shambles.

She went back to her room.

The next day, after breakfast, Sheng Tang and her group went home, with Gu Shiting following the two Sheng siblings back to the Sheng Family’s house.

He even planned to stay a night at the Sheng Family’s house.

Unexpectedly, at three in the afternoon, Song Chen suddenly called.

After Gu Shiting finished the call, his expression turned grim.

"What’s wrong?" Sheng Tang looked at him with worry.

Gu Shiting looked slightly pale: "Grandpa fainted again."

This year, his grandpa had frequently fallen ill.

"Then go to the hospital quickly," Sheng Tang said.

Gu Shiting, like a helpless child, tightly grabbed Sheng Tang’s hand: "Can you come with me?"
