Materna's breasts were already considerably less inflated when they finally arrived at the end of the Dead Plains.

After what felt like an eternity of uninterrupted walking, the barren ground gradually gave way to ordinary earth once more. The moment Shin's boots stepped onto real soil, he let out a quiet sigh of relief.

"We made it."

Almost immediately, Materna relaxed in his arms.

"I can't feel the colony anymore," she said with a warm smile. After spending so long walking across that place, she had learned how to sense the creature's presence. "The drain has completely stopped."

Mora carefully lowered Octavia and Medea onto the ground before stretching both of her arms overhead.

Even if she was strong, Mora fell to the ground, breathing heavily. She was obviously exhausted after all the walking.

Shin wasn't sure how long they had walked, but the sun was nowhere to be seen on the horizon. They had easily walked for more than twelve hours straight. Even if their bodies were magically strong, the soil's draining effect made everything even worse.

"Finally, we arrived," Octavia exclaimed. She stretched her body as much as she could, her massive breasts escaping her habit and becoming visible for a moment.

Then she sat down on the ground too. Of course, she wasn't as exhausted as Mora, but the trip wasn't exactly comfortable. She felt a bit sore.

Her eyes turned to Shin, then to Mora, and the priest tried using her powers to help relieve their fatigue, but mental exhaustion couldn't be healed.

"Everyone should drink a bit," Materna said, using her magic to make her milk float toward everyone's mouth, including her own.

The sweet liquid helped restore their energy and made everyone look more alive.

Medea glanced back toward the endless Dead Plains and stretched her body as much as she could. Her wings began flapping, and she seemed happy to finally be able to float again.

"I didn't think I'd ever say this, but I miss the Dark Forest. At least there we could walk properly... and it wasn't sweltering like this..."

Beads of sweat traced lazy paths down the sage's brow, slipping along her temples, trailing the curve of her neck, and disappearing into the inviting cleft of her cleavage. She was bearing the brunt of the relentless heat, with not a single patch of shade to offer relief.

"I'm disgusting..." Medea breathed under her breath, grimacing at her own clammy skin.

She whispered a faint ice spell, just enough to raise goosebumps across her flesh, then tried to wipe away the glistening moisture, paying special attention to the dampness gathering beneath the full swell of her breasts.

She continued looking worriedly at Shin. She absolutely refused to let him see her like this, flushed, sticky, anything less than breathtaking.

And ahead, the conditions weren't going to improve much. There would be shade, yes... but the thick humidity hanging in the air would make it feel more like a sauna than a relief.

Beyond the limits of the barren lands, the Forest of Death appeared once again. The ancient trees remained impossibly massive, their trunks wider than ordinary houses, yet they no longer completely dominated the landscape.

Smaller trees, bushes, vines, and thick undergrowth filled every empty space between them. Shafts of sunlight filtered through countless openings in the canopy, creating the appearance of a typical tropical forest.

The result was beautiful, however, far more dangerous. Unlike the dark region from earlier, this section was overflowing with life.

And by life, of course, that meant monsters and creatures that could kill them at any instant. There were bird-like monsters flying between the branches, large insects buzzing through the air, and many huge beasts lurking within, hiding in the thick vegetation.

On the bright side, this was the area Shin knew best. It was where he would go during the later stages of the game to kill monsters and level up. It was also where several of the forest's hidden dungeons were concealed.

Finding one without prior knowledge was nearly impossible. And even with his knowledge, it wouldn't be easy for Shin to spot any of those dungeons. In that sense, meeting Carolina would be convenient, but he had no idea where she might be.

Anyway, they needed to find somewhere in the forest to sleep and replenish their energy. After two more days of walking, they should be able to finish crossing that place.

"We must enter the forest. Let's try to find somewhere to sleep," Shin commented. "But stay alert. There are far more monsters here than in the Dark Forest."

Everyone nodded, following behind Shin in silence. Medea tried using her spell to identify any possible enemies, but there were so many monsters around that it was useless.

All the girls could do was stay alert and keep the same formation as before. Mora walked ahead. Octavia, Materna, and Medea stayed in the center. Yasmin and Shin strode a few steps behind, watching the group's rear.

Only a few minutes passed before their worries proved justified.

ROOOAAARRR!!

The thunderous roar shook the surrounding trees. A gigantic ogre burst through the undergrowth, easily four meters tall. Its green skin was covered in crude iron armor, while a massive tree trunk reinforced with jagged metal served as its club.

Medea reacted instantly.

"I'll bind.."

Several glowing magic circles appeared around her fingertips, then they shattered.

A crude green projectile had struck one of the circles before the spell could finish, causing the mana flow to collapse.

"What?"

Medea's eyes widened. From the surrounding bushes came high-pitched laughter.

"Gihihi!"

"Geh-heh-heh!"

Small figures emerged from every direction.

Goblins.

One of them carried a primitive staff decorated with bones and monster fangs. Green curses flowed from him, preventing Medea from using magic.

"Fuck, I can't use any magic because of them!" Medea complained, hoping Shin or Yasmin could kill the annoying goblin.

Soon, more and more goblins began to appear, and before they could do anything, the group was surrounded by enemies.
