"I'm exhausted…" Shin fell to the ground, his eyes heavy after weeks of nonstop work.
Since his arrival in the succubus 'kingdom', three weeks had passed in the blink of an eye. And the first challenge he faced was building an actual kingdom.
Lilel, the little devil who called herself a fairy, had found a way to reverse succubus magic. Normally, sex demons absorbed sexual energy and converted it into power for themselves.
But Lilel, the so-called fairy, could reverse the process. Instead of draining energy, she could transfer it directly to Shin.
At first, it sounded like a dream. With this method, he could recover from exhaustion almost instantly. And thanks to the nature of his class, he produced nearly infinite sexual energy, which the succubus could convert into usable energy for him.
However it was not hard to think how this became a hell. Infinity energy, also meant he could work 24/7, non-stop, on everything and anything.
Of course, only Lilel could have come up with such a devilish plan. But Shin couldn't really argue against it, because, in fact, it was the most efficient method available.
The succubi had never been meant to live on their own, and it showed. Isolated in that world without men, they spent most of their time sleeping and conserving energy, hoping that the occasional man would one day stumble into their lost dimension.
They simply lacked the knowledge needed to survive otherwise.
As a result, the succubi had barely managed to build a village. Instead, they all crowded into the abandoned castle they had inherited.
The land surrounding it was a barren wasteland with no crops or infrastructure. At least the ancient walls provided some measure of protection, because beyond them countless monsters roamed the wilderness.
Every now and then, a monster would try to climb or leap over the walls, but most failed to overcome the obstacle. Others simply didn't bother. The succubi were hardly attractive prey for monsters; they possessed so little mana that they were barely worth the effort.
Still, if the kingdom was to have a future, Shin needed to transform that wasteland into a thriving agricultural settlement. At the same time, he needed to restore the strength of the sex demons.
Thanks to the game, the man actually knew there was a special monster lurking in the forests surrounding that place.
It was known as a Verdant Leech, a grotesque creature that survived by draining the life force from plants. Wherever one settled, the forest slowly withered around it.
He was not particularly strong. The problem was that generally, many monsters lived around the Verdant Leeches because they had a symbiotic relationship with other monsters. In summary, they were an annoying monster to kill, but not undefeatable.
But the really important thing about them was the energy they accumulated inside their bodies. The creature sucked away the life force of other plants and accumulated everything inside itself.
Once killed, the life energy stored within its flesh began to break down and return to nature. Ground into powder and mixed with soil, its remains became an incredibly potent fertilizer capable of restoring even the most barren land.
So right after enslaving the succubus queen, Shin went on a hunting spree. First, with the help of the few high-level succubi that could assist him, he systematically killed the weaker monsters.
He used tricks and decoys to lure away the stronger monsters. After four days of preparation, he was able to hunt and kill two Verdant Leeches. Later he would need to kill more to keep the crops going, but this would be good enough for now.
Not to mention, he also got a great amount of monster meat.
Dragging all the bodies and remaining back to the 'village' was even more exhausting than the actual killing, and this was just the beginning of the work.
On their fifth day, Shin spent the whole night processing the corpses, with short fucking breaks.
There was no way of preserving the monster meat, so he just ordered the succubus to cook all of it, with some special techniques. A few magical ritual, and a very long cooking, allowed the meat to become extra concentrated with mana.
But back to the field, Shin organized all the succubus to prepare everything to planting crops. Some were tasked with clearing rocks and debris from the surrounding land. Others dug irrigation channels and prepared the soil. A third group spread the fertilizer.
Finally, a last group planted the seeds he had provided to the succubi. Shin had planned ahead for this, keeping various crops stored inside his dimensional ring.
Because of the high concentration of mana in that land, anything grown there would develop much faster than normal crops.
Not only would they grow quicker, but they would also accumulate a considerable amount of mana. The fertilizer obtained from the Verdant Leech only amplified those effects.
In three months, they should finally be able to enjoy the fruits of their labor. In the meantime, however, Shin continued working.
If the first week had been dedicated to establishing the foundations of their farmland, the following two weeks were spent tirelessly building everything else the kingdom needed.
The first priority was securing a reliable source of water.
Thanks to the game, Shin knew it was possible to dig a well in that location. The only problem was actually digging it.
After numerous failures, countless attempts, and a great deal of hard work, he finally managed to secure access to groundwater. From there, he established an irrigation system and connected a network of canals capable of supplying the fields.
Beyond that, he and the succubi built houses throughout the settlement. Some were made from timber harvested from the forests beyond the walls, while others were constructed using the scattered stone ruins found throughout the area.
As an additional project, Shin also instructed the Succubus Queen to lead an effort to clean, repair, and restore the castle itself.
Strictly speaking, it wasn't essential. However, having a clean and imposing castle did wonders for morale.
Because of all that work, after three long weeks, Shin had finally taken the first step toward building a real kingdom.
And he was desperately in need of a well-earned rest.
"I'm done..." Shin groaned, collapsing onto the ground.
"Hey! It's not time to slack off just yet!" Lilel complained as she flew over and nudged him awake.
Since arriving there, she had been working just as relentlessly as he had, directing the girls, studying the territory, and helping manage the countless projects that needed attention.
Unlike any sane person, however, Lilel never seemed to get tired of working.
"Just let me sleep for three hours tonight. I know I don't need the energy, but my mind certainly does," Shin said, closing his eyes.
"Fine. But while you're sleeping, I'll be the one organizing everyone," the little fairy replied with a sigh, placing her small hands on her hips.
Shin simply nodded.
