Chapter 455: Storming Aldwell [Workers’ Day]
"Att..Attacck! WE’RE UNDER ATTACK!!!"
"Attack?!"
"SOUND THE ALARMS!!"
Immediately, the other guards who heard the first one’s shout moved into action. The alarms started blaring just as the barrier surrounding the base was suddenly ripped open from the front.
Coming in through the tear, was Arthur, Alvey, McEnda and Sigesi, casually strutting into the Facility like they owned the place.
They weren’t being sneaky and literally walked in through the front door.
Arthur stepped forward and deployed his Progenitor Authority, weakening all Divines present before speaking.
"Let’s wrap this up in less than 30 minutes."
"Transcendents Included?"
"Indeed."
The boy replied to Alvey’s inquiry as he pumped more cosmic energy into his Progenitor Authority to increase the weakening effect.
Aramisian soldiers poured out of the facility in large numbers, armed with an array of weapons and magic, while the Divines prepared to unleash their divinities.
However, they were all struck by a sudden wave of weakness, causing those airborne to plummet to the ground while they all felt their divinity manipulation turn sluggish.
Before their disbelieving eyes, they witnessed their levels plummeting rapidly and their power leaked out from their bodies.
"GROARR!!!"
A dragon’s roar rang out and a giant black dragon with massive wings emerged from behind the facility, roaring out once more before firing a breath attack towards the four at the gate.
Sadly, said breath was swatted aside by Alvey who was scanning the entire place with his spatial perception.
’It’s not a Divine Dragon so my Authority is useless on it.’
Arthur didn’t care though, as he had someone who would handle the dragon for him while he focused on other things.
"Romrintet. Come out and deal with your kin."
His command summoned the Divine Dragon Romrintet from his Summoning Space and the dragon grunted in dissatisfaction before having no choice but to keep to the sky and clash with the Inferior Sovereign Black dragon.
[Your Highness?! Why?!!]
[...]
Arthur tuned out the conversation between the dragons, walking forward while using his nail to slice his finger and rip blood onto the ground.
The smell of his silver blood made Artemisia and Beatrix nauseous but lucky for them, it didn’t last long as the blood was quickly consumed by the law of Summoning’s power.
"Come forth, Stelan."
Without waiting for that to complete, Arthur slammed his palms on the ground and activated a Three-Step Summoning, calling forth an Army of Wolves and Hell hounds.
They all looked to Arthur and he saw the light of recognition in some of their eyes. Finally, the Third Step of the Summoning was completed and the entity summoned from it was the same Sovereign Hellhound he had called in Triton’s Ark.
[Summoner, we meet again.]
One of its heads turned towards the Facility, the second gazed at Stelan who had just been summoned while the third remained on Arthur as it asked.
[The same as the last time?]
"Yes."
Hearing Arthur’s affirmation, Stelan nodded and used his magic to draw the blood of the dismembered guards and craft a blade before jumping atop the back of the Hellhound.
The creature crouched before leaping into the sky and crashing down through a random building and turning it to rubble.
"Artemisia, Beatrix. Help me find where the labs are at. It’d likely be underground and should sense hundreds or thousands of weak divinity sources clustered together there."
The two goddesses were a bit curious about what that description truly entailed but they nodded in affirmation and dashed out to find
Suddenly, the ambient temperature within a dozen kilometres of their position dropped rapidly and Arthur turned to see Sigesi hovering in the air with her wings while releasing her demonic energy into the surroundings.
"Great Ice Calamity: Inversed Mountain."
The skies darkened and a massive shadow was cast on the ground as Sigesi launched the giant spinning mountain at a trio of Sovereigns that attacked her.
Her icy demonic energy froze them in place and prevented them from running, allowing the attack to hit them squarely.
Upon impact, an explosion of icy energy erupted in the air, sending shockwaves rippling outward in all directions. The force of the explosion was so immense that buildings on the ground were shattered like fragile glass, reduced to rubble and debris by the sheer power of the blast.
While Sigesi was freezing things on one side, McEnda was burning things on the other.
The Archdemon wielded a staff in one hand while his other hand conjured a small sphere of concentrated black fire. He then manipulated it to shoot out an intense laser-like beam that tore through both buildings and split the bodies of hundreds of Divines in two.
Alvey was in the centre, his Pseudo-Authority active as he released a ’Luminous Beam Barrage’ and killed the Aramisians with the light element they exalted so much.
Within the Facility’s Admin Building, the Transcendents rushed to the Control Room, demanding urgent updates on the situation.
"Who’s attacking?! How many are they?!"
One of the Transcendents was a god—a mid-rank by Aramisian standards. He sensed two sources of powerful demonic energy from afar and knew the enemy had at least two Transcendents.
What he wanted to know was how many soldiers they had brought with them. The answer he got, however, left him stupefied.
"...S-sir! The-yre j-just 4."
"...what? What do you mean they’re just 4?!"
The man pushed the poor technician out of the way and looked at the footage the camera displayed, his eyes widening in shock when he saw the people in the videos.
"This! The Demon of Light, the Night Bringer, the Silver Summoner and the Frost Demon?!"
Four titled demons that held absurd levels of power and were high-priority targets for elimination. One wasn’t a demon but the man didn’t have the peace of mind to think of that now.
"Send word to Main HQ Now!! We need Reinforcements, ASAP!"
A special platoon was sent through teleportation formations that connected directly to the Main Headquarters of the Aramisian Coalition Army, however, the instant the formations activated, Arthur and Alvey snapped their heads in their direction.
"Are they getting reinforcements already?"
"You take the Transcendent coming, I’d deal with the teleportations."
Arthur spoke as he tapped Alvey’s back and applied his ’Blessing of Anti-Divinity’, before kicking off the ground and dashing towards the Admin Building.
Simultaneously, two of the Transcendents charged out to face Alvey and McEnda in battle, not having leeway to pay Arthur any attention.
The moment he broke into the building and entered a random hallway, he came across a group of researchers who were fleeing towards the safety bunkers underground.
"Begone."
His right hand reached out in their direction and a blast of Null’s silvery energy crashed into them and deleted them and their souls from existence.
"Oh...a survivor."
Arthur noticed that there had been a Sovereign Realm goddess with them, probably having been sent to protect them while they fled to safety.
While his attack had wiped out the weak inferior Legendries, it only wounded the Sovereign and the woman was still able to fight.
Not for long though.
Arthur swiftly closed the distance, employing Gravitemporal Harmony to deliver a lightning-quick punch to the side of her head, sending her crashing into the adjacent wall, disoriented.
In a seamless motion, he summoned Celestia and brought it down with tremendous force toward her neck
"Island Split."
**BOOOMM!!!
With a deafening roar, the force of the strike obliterated not only the immediate surroundings but also pulverized the entire building into rubble. The impact created a massive crater in the ground, stretching a staggering 500 meters wide.
As for the goddess, her headless body dropped to the ground at Arthur’s feet. Before he could extract her Divine Spark, he heard McEnda’s loud voice call out to him.
"Oy! Arthur! Not cool!"
Looking up, he saw that the Archdemon had been caught in the blast of his attack while the Transcendent he was fighting had actually been knocked over a hundred metres away.
Seeing him holding a staff, Arthur guessed he was a Mage and realised he had never actually seen McEnda fight.
As if giving him a display, McEnda then proceeded to use said staff to unleash a six-hit combo on two Superior Sovereign Divine Humans before spinning around and finishing them off with kicks to their skulls.
’So, he’s a close combat Mage...’
Arthur thought as he extracted the dead goddess’ Divine Spark, with Beatrix and Artemisia witnessing the scene of him tossing it into his mouth like candy.
He charged forward into another building, bashing through its walls as he headed towards the place with the teleportation formations.
The godslayer tore through walls and protection spells with his destruction energy, eventually reaching where the formations were, however, he was greeted by the sight of the remaining two Transcendents.
"Well, I’d be damned."
"Silver Summoner!!"
One of them reached for their weapon but Arthur’s time-accelerated action was faster.
|¬Anti-Gravity¬|
He used his Faux True Voice to command the laws of gravity to work in reverse, and the sudden reversal of gravity yeeted their bodies into the air uncontrollably.
None of them comprehended gravity laws and neither were they coating their bodies in law energy, so Arthur was able to catch them off guard.
Their bodies were blasted through the ceilings and straight towards the upper floors and in the short seconds he had before they broke out with their law energy, Arthur activated another technique.
’Time + Gravity + Space + Destruction.’
|¬Accelerated Gravitational Singularity of Destruction. ¬|
