Chapter 431: Plans for Landfall

"We were attacked by a special force unit of the Demon Navy. Demon Admiral Agriker was also present.

Although we managed to repel them, we were forced to reveal some trump cards and we took heavy damage."

[...good lord.]

"It was really hell on sea. There were many other unknown High Ranked Demons, so it can be concluded that the Demons have called in reinforcements from Rhigor."

[If those High Ranked Demons on Rhigor are moving then the demons are definitely up to something.

I’d make preparations for you to dock in Wridale Harbour. That’s the reason you contacted me anyway.]

"It would be well appreciated. Now, if you’d excuse me, I think Tamal’s brought the full Damage Report."

[Ah, Tamal. Beem a while since I’d seen that guy. Are the elven ladies still after him?]

"Same as always."

[Hahahaha! Alright, Fleet Admiral. I’d ready the Harbour for your arrival.]

"Thank you, Admiral."

**TIK!

Gnurl cut the call with the Admiral in charge of Zefesh’s Wridale Harbour, before turning his gaze towards the group of High Ranked Demons seated on the conference table with him.

"It’s done."

"Good work."

General Alvey Sargon commended him and once again, the High Ranked Demons were left in shock and awe.

’Just when did Alvey replace him?’

Barron Agriker, the Demon Naval Admiral was the one who was usually in charge of fighting the Triton’s Ark, and despite all his spies and their intelligence reports, he never imagined that the man at the top of the Ark had been replaced with a Demon.

’I’m this close to him and I can’t see him as anything but a Human. Is he a halfling or something?’

He wasn’t the only one with such thoughts, as all the other Demons present were just as confused and curious as he was.

"So? What are you planning to do with this thing?"

The doors opened wide and a certain enigmatic teenager walked into the room while sipping on a can of soda. He glanced at ’Gnurl’ for a moment, his eyes flashing with light as he then spoke.

"Hey, Jabby."

"...Jabby?"

"Mhmm...the full thing’s honestly a mouthful."

Arthur, like his mother, had a habit of shortening people’s names if they were ’too long’. Met with this behaviour, Gnurl—Jabberwocky, couldn’t help but chuckle lightly. 𝒻𝑟𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝑛𝘰𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝘤𝘰𝘮

The boy got to his seat, where Alvey, Barron and Sylvan sat and leaned forward, looking at the map of the planet which had been projected up in the air above them.

Demon Territories were marked with green while Aramisian territories were marked with red, an irony, considering the Demons were the invaders.

He looked at the other projection and noticed that it was a map of the Zefesh Continent—the Demon’s next course of attack.

"We are awaiting reinforcements from Rhigor. Once that is done, we’d make landfall on Zefesh."

Alvey replied to his earlier question while passing him a bunch of files and Arthur skimmed through them in seconds, before shutting the folder and nodding.

"I see... you want to use the Aramisians’ weaponry on themselves."

Not all of the missiles and bombs of the Triton’s Ark had been used in the attack of two days ago, as such, there was still a good number of Aramisian weaponry left on the Triton’s Ark and Alvey’s plan involved using it on the Wridale Harbour.

"The Level of Barrier and Anti-Air equipment in the Wridale Harbour are high level. If we just launch missiles, they’d detect them from far away and shoot them down before they can reach the Continent’s Airspace.

They’d also realise the Triton’s Ark has been Compromised and we can’t have that now."

"So, what do you plan?"

When Arthur asked this, Barron was the one who replied.

"We unleash the missiles from within their own Territory."

When the Triton’s Ark was attacked, they sent out SOS signals and launched beacons. Although the beacons were shot down, the SOS signals had definitely reached Wridale.

As such, they could not hide that the Ark had been attacked.

Barron saw an opportunity in this, choosing to have them contact Wridale and instead say that although they were attacked, they had repelled the Demon Attackers.

This was where he discovered that the Ark’s Fleet Admiral had been long since replaced by Alvey’s subordinate, but it only made things easier.

So the message was that ’Demon Admiral Agriker led a special forces fleet to attack the Triton’s Ark, however, he was just barely repelled and the Ark had taken damage.’

Hearing that, the Admiral at Wridale understood and made plans to open up the Wridale Harbour for the Triton’s Ark.

"The Aramisians would let you into their gates, and you attack from the inside. Kinda like the Trojan Horse."

"I don’t know if the Trojan Horse you know is the same as what I know, but we would be attacking them from within their barriers.

The first target would be the Harbour itself."

Arthur nodded in understanding when he heard this, before looking up at the map projected in the centre of the room.

"Hey, why don’t we take it further."

"How so?"

It only took Barron, Sylvan and Alvey a single glance at Arthur’s expression to know the boy had some crazy plan that would still work out in the end. When Sylvan questioned him on his thoughts, he moved his hands and highlighted all the known Military Bases on Zefesh before speaking.

"Let’s take out not just this Wridale Harbour. How about we ask the guys from Rhigor to bring some more WMDs and launch them all on all the Bases on Zefesh?

Nuke all the army, naval and air force bases on the continent in one go."

"..."

As expected, his plan was something very crazy.

Aramisian continents were massive when compared to those of normal. Considering it was a Prime World with over 5 billion square kilometres of surface area, this wasn’t surprising.

Yet, Arthur had just stated they should nuke all the thousands of military bases on one of these continents.

Surprisingly, Alvey, Barron and Sylvan were actually considering this plan of his.

"Even if we can take out those bases, we do not have the manpower to conquer all of that land in one go.

The Aramisians are not entirely incompetent so they’d be able to mount a resistance.

So how about we limit this range to half the continent? We hit them hard there and then drop a few in random spots on the divider between the Northern and Southern Halves."

Hearing Alvey’s suggestion, Sylvan instantly understood what the man was aiming for.

"You want to make Zefesh the second Gledea."

"Indeed."

Right now Gledea was split in two halves: the Demons had the South while the Aramisians had the North.

Considering that the Wridale Harbour was on the South, Alvey wanted them to take the South of Zefesh as well and then drop some random blasts that’d scare off the Aramisians for a while.

He felt it was much better to concentrate their forces on taking the South and having a firm grip over it than to spread out across the whole continent and end up having a loose hold that could be easily taken back.

"I’d send a request to General Orkorin that we’d need a few million more soldiers."

Although its topmost Echelons were solely constituent of Gozonians, the Demon Army had more than just Gozonians within it.

Demon Kings controlled thousands of planets across the galaxy, and a good number of them were inhabited by Demons.

As such, the Demon Army was a mixture of both Gozonians and these other foreign Demons. On other planets, the Army had members of other races, like Dark Elves, Humans and sometimes even a few rogue Celestials.

Aramis was a bit of a special case as they attacked with just Demons; although it made things easier for them to control though.

Anyway, it was due to this that Alvey could casually talk about getting a ’few million extra’ soldiers so casually. There were dozens of Planetary Rulers ever willing to offer their services to Gozon in return for benefits.

"Just asking, but how sure are you all that the information in these documents is correct? On the locations of the military bases on Zefesh, I mean."

The Triton’s Ark sometimes docked on the Wridale Harbour, so information had inevitably changed hands between them.

After taking the Ark, the Demons got their hands on information about Zefesh that they were previously unable to attain due to the Aramisians blocking their satellites and the like.

Within this, was detailed information about the locations and strengths of Zefesh’s Military Bases. The information was a bit out of date, given the fact that the Triton’s Ark had not docked on Wridale for over six months now.

"Alvey, mind passing me the originals?"

The man had questions about Arhtur’s intentions but he still passed them over to the boy. After flipping through, Arthur then proceeded to activate his Pseudo-Authority of Time.

"Tick Tock goes the clock, Tock Tick it goes in reverse."
