Chapter 415: Divine Humans vs. Demonic Treant
"What Law is it?"
[...Light.]
"..."
Silence.
Though they had never personally faced it, they had received reports on this phenomenon before.
There was only one reason why Light Law energy and Demonic Energy would coexist in the same place in all of Aramis.
One ’Person’.
Fleet Admiral Gnurl closed his eyes and took a deep breath after he heard his daughter’s words. When he reopened them, a determined glint filled his eyes as he barked out orders.
"Activate ALL Defensive Systems.
Lieutenant Generals, Mobilize ALL your Corps. I want every soldier up on their feet now.
Contact the Academy and have them send out the Senior Students with Combat Experience as well.
The ’Demon of Light’ has come to visit, let’s make sure he doesn’t ever return home."

"Fire Magic: Solar Flare!!!"
**BOOOOMMMMM!!!!
The orb of condensed flames shot forward and collided with a wooden surface, before igniting in a bright explosion that shook the entire tunnel.
When the smoke died down, however, the expression of the Mage who fired the spell turned dark as he saw that he had barely done any damage.
"I used a Tier 3 Spell, and all it did was burn one branch?!"
"KREEEIIIIIKKKKKK!!!!!"
A high-pitched noise that made one feel disoriented rang out, interfering with the concentration of the next group of mages who were about to fire their spells at the opponent.
’Not good!’
In that short moment, the monster they were facing, a Treant launched dozens of its thorned branches forward at supersonic speed. The branches pierced through the bodies of the soldiers, wrapped around them and squeezed out their magic power.
The faces of the soldiers became emaciated in a matter of seconds before the branches were roughly pulled out of their bodies, dragging internal organs along with them.
""Icicle Lance!""
A dozen mages launched a barrage of icicles against the monster all at once, but the Treant sent magic power into its roots and caused a trio of earthen walls to manifest in front of it to protect it.
Their spells were powerful and managed to pierce through two of the walls, but they had lost too much momentum and were unable to destroy the third.
From that earthen wall, the Treant summoned more wooden throned branches that shot out and grabbed some more soldiers, flinging them into the paths of oncoming spells and slash projectiles.
Blood rained down as the Aramisian soldiers were bisected by their own commander’s attack, and this only served to reduce the morale of their battalion.
*SWISHH!!!
As the Treant was occupied with one of the Colonels, it gave the other one a chance to close in and unleash a deadly attack, slicing off five of its branches and spewing green acidic blood.
"KREEEIIIIIKKKKKK!!"
Once again, the Treant unleashed its sound attack, but this time, it followed up by slamming its roots into the ground and releasing a shockwave of demonic energy that knocked the Colonel and all nearby soldiers backwards.
The Soldiers present here were much weaker than the Treant, and though they had Divinity Wielders, the ones present were fakes who had weaker divinities.
Just as Divinity was harmful to demons, so was Demonic energy to Divine Factor Holders.
This Demonic Treant knew this and took advantage of it, lashing out with its branches and releasing slashes of demonic energy in the direction of the Fake Divine Humans and Elves, forcing them to dodge as they knew their weak divinities would not be able to combat the Treant’s Demonic energy.
Suddenly, all its branches retracted to its body and wrapped around to form a bulb that pulsed with demonic energy.
Barely a second later, the bulb opened up and countless fingernail-sized seeds of compressed demonic energy were launched omnidirectionally at supersonic speed, perforating holes in the bodies of the soldiers present.
The ground beneath their feet simultaneously burst open and an overgrown of branches and vines shot out, attempting to wrap around one of the Colonels but the man turned around immediately and cut them down, before using fire magic to set them ablaze.
His comrade jumped in at the last moment and sliced the other branch lashing towards his heart, before posing a question.
"Have you sent a report?"
"No...our communications around down...Still, they should sense us with all the ruckus we’re making."
"Ye-Shit!!"
The Colonel cursed as he saw the Treant’s jagged mouth suddenly open wide, with a beam of destructive energy condensing within its wooden jaws.
What followed was a blast of demonic energy infused with the law of destruction, potent enough that the Master and grandmaster realm soldiers that were in the area it hit were reduced to nothing more than ashes on the ground.
The Treant then turned towards the two commanders while charging up another beam and they quickly reacted, unleashing slashes of aura that split the beam in two and caused it to explode midway.
**BOOOMM!!!
This explosion released a shockwave that knocked them back, but they stood their ground and kept their gazes on the Treant to watch for its next move.
Contrary to expectations, it did not attack them and instantly sent out its branches to drag some unfortunate soldiers to absorb their energies.
The Colonels shot forward, slashing the branches and rescuing the soldiers, before quickly turning towards the Treant that was charging a third beam.
"Incoming!"
"I know. We either kill this thing today or die trying!"
The two Colonels let out loud battle cries as they charged towards the Treant who lashed out with its thorny branches.

Divinity Power Plant
Sector 1 Underground Layer
Triton’s Ark
November 30th
530th Divine Year
The Power Plant area of the Triton’s Ark was a massive Dome dome-shaped hall with a giant Crystal over 100 metres tall and 50 metres wide in the centre of the hall.
This Divinity Crystal Core was encased in a giant tempered glass shell with metallic frames and had over a dozen giant cables which were at least 50cm thick, connected to these metal frames.
All around the walls of the dome hall were booths containing automatic twin gun ports all rotating at 180-degree axes with nuzzles glowing with magic and divinity.
Warrior soldiers stood with swords drawn, magicians had their staves raised and their commanding Colonel had his energy spread out to cover the whole hall.
As the Triton’s Ark had shifted into Fortress Mode with ALL defences activated, this Brigade of Divine Humans was stationed here with the job of defending the Crystal Core with their lives.
If this Power Plant was taken out, then the Triton’s Ark Defences would be crippled greatly.
A tense silence filled the area as everyone remained on alert.
One of the mages looking around, glanced at the Crystal Core in the centre and blinked for a moment.
"Huh?"
The people in the booth together with him turned towards him with questioning looks in their eyes when they heard his voice, and he pointed forward and asked.
"When did that tree get there?"
"A Tree? What are you-!"
His comrade who was confused turned towards the Crystal Core and had his words caught in his throat as there was indeed a tree right next to the crystal core.
This was strange in more ways than one, starting from the fact that the floor where this tree was standing was completely metallic with Zero bit of natural soil or any criteria required for a tree to grow within the next kilometre.
The Brigadier General in charge of the Brigade turned his gaze towards the Core when his ears caught this conversation and precisely because he was a natural Divinity Wielder like the soldier who first noticed the tree, he caught on instantly.
"IT’S A DEMO-ACK!"
He could not even finish his words as one of the Tree’s thorned branches lashed out at HYPERsonic speed and pierced through the three magic circles he had conjured, before boring a hole in his shoulder.
If it wasn’t for his fast reflexes, the thorned branch that was filled with dense demonic energy would have pierced his heart.
Without hesitation, a Colonel right beside him drew her blade and released a full powered slash with divinity, however, the result of the collision between her sword and the branch shocked her out of her wits.
**CLANGG!!
"?!"
Her hands trembled heavily and she felt as if she had just struck an iron wall. A full-powered attack from a Legendary Realm existence was easily thwarted by this feeble-looking branch.
Nevertheless, the branch’s defensive power was consumed in blocking her attack, and because of this, the Brigadier General’s inherent divinity got to the branch and caused it to begin withering.
Faster than the woman could attack again, the branch abruptly pulled itself out of his body and retracted to the tree, making sure to rip his arm off in the process.
All of this happened in the span of 3 little seconds.
3 Second which were more than enough for all the soldiers present to prepare and unleash powerful attacks in the direction of the Tree.
**KAABOOOMM!!!!
"BE CAREFUL!! DON’T HIT THE CRYSTAL COREE!!!"
