Chapter 359: Sword of Victory vs Glacial Reckoning
Arthur stretched his hand out towards Sigesi, using ambient cosmic energy that she could not perceive to manipulate the law of gravity and pull her towards him.
The woman’s eyes opened wide as she roused her demonic energy to fight it, but fighting against something you weren’t cognizant of was easier said than done.
Arthur pulled her close to him, so close that they could feel each other’s breath, before redirecting the cosmic energy back to his body and switching the universal laws being manipulated.
’Blink. Temporal Stop. Temporal Acceleration’
The short-distance teleportation spell was activated in the same instant that he stopped Sigesi’s arm which was trying to slash him and accelerated the speed of the icy projectiles surrounding them to 10x their speed.
**BOOOOMMMM!!!!
A massive explosion of icy energy rang out, covering the sky in a cloud of blue smoke and expelling shockwaves of frigid air that reached the spectators on the ground.
Arthur watched this with narrowed eyes from a distance, allowing him to spot the streak of blue light that burst out of the icy smoke and beelined straight towards him.
He rose Celestia and encased it with his silver aura, swinging it up to meet her downward arcing slash.
"Self-power immunity, I see."
After confirming that Sigesi was immune to her own attacks, the boy tilted his head to the side and dodged her sword thrust and with Celestia, he swung his blade towards her neck.
Sigesi quickly pulled back her blade and met his attack with it, before kicking him in the torso and taking distance.
She flapped her wings and then blitzed into range once more, releasing multiple slashes of blue aura which Arthur countered as fast as he could.
When Sigesi thrust her sword towards Arthur’s head once more, he caught her blade and flung her body towards the side with his ridiculous strength.
The woman flipped around in the air and waved her hands upwards, causing a giant mass of ice to surge upwards from below him.
In retaliation, Arthur encased his fist in destruction law energy and punched downwards, punching through the mass of ice law energy in a single punch.
However, Sigesi increased the energy concentration with her Pseudo Authority, and for the first time in his life, Arthur saw ’Ice’ "freeze" his ’Destruction’.
"Well, that’s new.
The things you can do with a Pseudo-Authority."
His lips curled up into a grin as he increased the intensity of his aura and broke out of it, before flipping around and releasing an extinction slash.
The slash split her ice apart and would have done the same to her if she wasn’t sharp enough to dodge.
While the extinction slash was tearing her ice apart, she held her sword upwards, towards the right, above her head and unleashed six vertical slashes down towards Arthur.
The progenitor responded by unleashing two aura claws, sending the three-pronged destruction-infused slashes to ace with the collide slashes of ice.
"Sword of Victory."
With the pillar of silver light rising from his sword, he swung Celestia down in her direction and Sigesi responded in kind, coating her blade in a mass of icy energy that swirled around uncontrollably and swung it forward.
"Glacial Reckoning."
The two techniques clashed with a dazzling explosion of silver and icy brilliance erupting out, sending shockwaves in all directions.
The air crackled with the remnants of their auras, creating a temporary veil of shimmering particles.
Following up this scene, were thin white slashes of light that split apart these shimmering particles on their way towards Sigesi.
’Boreal Soar.’
Once again, the woman dodged these slashes on pure instinct, infusing her wings with concentrated demonic frost energy and boosting her aerial speed and agility.
’What universal law was that.’
Sigesi was aware of the existence of the law of extinction, but she had not personally felt the law’s energy before so she did not recognize the law energy in Arthur’s slashes as that of extinction.
All she could tell was that it was getting hit by it was not a good idea.
Neither was getting hit by any of Arthur’s destruction energy-infused attacks.
Arthur snapped his fingers and used the energy of the law to mould weapon constructs that hovered in the air; from swords and spears to knives and daggers.
With a single gesture, they were all sent flying to her at supersonic speed, and Arthur tipped in a little bit of time acceleration to make them go 10x faster.
In response to this, Sigesi decided to use an Ultimate Technique of her Pseudo-Authority.
[Pseudo-Authority of Ice: Great Ice Calamity.]
The ambient temperature of all of Militopolis dropped rapidly, and the normal civilians who were covering in their houses felt as if someone had just tossed them out naked, in the middle of a snowstorm.
Sigesi’s energy burst out uncontrollably, freezing everything around her, from the destruction projectiles coming at her to the very molecules in the air.
She blitzed behind Arthur and slammed her palm towards his back, a four-ringed magic circle flashing on it as she called out.
"Ice Nova."
There was a bright flash of light that temporarily disoriented all who looked, but before the second stage of the spell could activate, Arthur turned around and activated his own.
"Fire Nova."
**KAABOOOOOMMM!!!!
Fire and Ice clashed in a tumultuous explosion that cleared a massive hole in the clouds, sending shockwaves propagating at supersonic speeds and knocking nearby airships towards the ground.
As Sigesi’s colleagues rushed to save the airships, Arthur used time law energy to heat up the mass of steam surrounding him and the female demon.
This melted the ice projectiles Sigesi was trying to form, making her click her tongue in annoyance.
’Gelid Wind’.
She waved her hand and cleared up the stream with an icy wind before dashing towards Arthur with Frostshade.
"Child of Ice."
"?!"
Arthur felt something strange from her when they clashed blades; the activation of a skill, followed by ’something’ blotting out the sun, casting a massive shadow over them and the ground below.
Sigesi kicked him away, using his body as a boost to take distance from him, while his gaze turned upwards to see the giant meteor of ice descending from above.
He flipped in mid-air and created footholds of aura to place his feet on, before taking a stance with Celestia held over his head.
"First Split: Mountain Split."
The boy swung the sword down with all his might, releasing a massive slash of silvery destructive energy that slammed into the meteor, tearing its surface apart and going on to cleave it in two equal halves.
"Ah, this reminds me of the time when I ordered Lewis to destroy Phirex and Girex. He cracked the planets in two just like this."
Sigesi’s expression morphed into one of momentary surprise, not because of his technique, but of the words he said after.
However, she quickly regained herself and exerted control over the two halves of the meteor, using her law energy to round them once more and chucking the two orbs of ice at him from both sides.
With the lower sizes, they moved faster than before, but for Arthur, they were small enough for him to exert his Pseudo-Authority’s full power.
"Stop."
He stopped the one coming from his left in time while using the energy of the law of gravity to pull the second one towards him at a faster speed.
With his palm encased in his silvery aura, he let go of Celestia and punched forward, his fist meeting the mini-meteor ice-cold surface.
At the last moment, spikes suddenly emerged from the meteor’s body but it was useless before the power of Arthur’s fist.
He broke the hold of the law of gravity he had imposed on it, shattering the ice rock into pieces
The orb of ice that Arthur punched ignored the laws of physics and flew away from him, proceeding to shatter into shards of ice.
Almost immediately, the energies of three laws surged from his body and wrapped around the shards before Sigesi could do anything.
Gravity law energy to make them heavier and give them more impact, destruction law energy to make them deadlier, and time law energy to make them faster.
