Chapter 346: Demon of Light, Alvey Sargon.

**BOOM! BOOOMMM!!!

All the divine humans and flugels the Demon had attacked exploded with bursts of radiant brilliance upon impact, showering those below in their blood and guts.

The man had causally one-shot close to 12 Legendary realm existences with a single attack.

Naturally, this usage of light magic did not escape the sight of the commanding officers of this flugel/human/elf army.

But what shocked them the most, was the overwhelming amount of demonic energy that they could sense from the light explosions.

[Light Magic...with demonic energy?!

Wait...that man. His uniform...four stars?! A General?! How could there be a General here?

And that light magic too...it couldn’t be!! The reports said he was on the frontlines!!]

The Commanding officer could not hide the panic in his voice as he spoke, and since he had not switched off his voice amplification, that panic was transferred to the rest of the soldiers.

Demons with Four Stars on their uniforms, were High Ranked demons who held the military ranks of ’General’.

As far as the people of Aramis knew, there were only four of them.

And of those four, only one of them used light magic.

[t-the ’Demon of Light’!!]

Hearing the words that the fear-stricken commander uttered, Arthur turned towards the Uniformed Demon and asked. 𝐟𝕣𝗲𝕖𝕨𝗲𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝗲𝚕.𝗰𝚘𝐦

"Demon of Light? Also, you’re a General?"

The man heaved a sigh when he heard the nickname the people of Aramis had given him, before finally introducing himself to Arthur.

"Demon General Alvey Sargon."

Hearing his introduction, Arthur nodded and then reciprocated the gesture.

"Arthur Vaughn. As for Titles...let’s go with ’Prince of Hell’. Not sure if you’ve already seen that..."

Arthur kept his eyes on the man and noticed the minuscule hint of surprise that flashed through his eyes. With that, he confirmed something.

’He can’t see my titles. And I’m not sure he can see my race either as he thinks I’m a devil.

So, his appraisal can only see my existence realm, stats, and age? Probably my name as well since he did not show surprise till I said my title.’

"I see, seems my previous approach wasn’t exactly the kind a prince would conform to."

Alvey’s small mutter pulled Arthur out of his sea of thoughts. He looked up to meet the man’s red eyes as he parted his lips to speak.

"After we are done with these nuisances, let’s redo our conversation from the top."

The teenage progenitor raised a brow lightly when he heard the man’s words, but he shrugged and turned back to their assailants before replying.

"Fine by me."

Stretching out his right hand, he called out.

"Celestia."

[Yes, Master.]

The semi-transparent blade with a single black line running through it answered his call manifested with a flash of light.

Once again, Arthur’s actions plastered an expression of surprise on Alvey’s face as he certainly did not expect the boy to pull out an Ego weapon.

"Those low-rank demons on the ground...those aren’t their real bodies, right? From what I can see they are some kind of avatar with soul fragments, meaning it’s okay if they get caught up in my attack, right?"

"Re-Summoning them would require quite a lot of sacrifices but...that’s something we happen to have plenty of today."

Alvey spoke as he shifted his shoulders lightly and unveiled a pair of black bat-like wings with red lines running through them. With a light flap, he shot up into the air, holding his hand out and condensing a huge mass of light magic power in front of it.

The flugels and humans who had let out brave battle cries when slaughtering the demons earlier, all went silent.

Some dropped their weapons, with vacant looks in their eyes showing they had given up on life, while some tightened their grips on their swords and drew out all their magic power, ready to fight to the last breath.

However, the commanders present knew all of this was futile.

Demons had ranks, and their strength corresponded to these ranks.

Lower Ranks were Masters, Grandmasters, and Epics.

Middle Ranks were Legendries and Sovereigns.

High Ranks like Alvey, were all Transcendents.

As Legendries who could use the powers of universal laws, they knew just how much stronger a transcendent who could comprehend those laws were.

Even more so, if that transcendent was a nonstandard existence. A being considered an ’Irregular’ by the very world they lived in.

They called for their soldiers to retreat as fast as possible, even grabbing some of them and flinging them far away from the battlefield with their auras.

’Someone needs to go back and inform them about the Demon of Light’s presence here! And that summoner boy who can use time powers as well.

This information cannot die here with us!’

The flugel who had attacked Arthur earlier thought to himself as he picked up the sword of a fallen soldier and channelled all his divinity into it.

A pillar of bright golden light surged from the blade, high up into the sky while parting the clouds.

"RALLYAAAAH!!!!!!!!!!!!"

His battle cry reverberated through the air as he charged towards Alvey who was in the air, ready to burn every last dredge of life in his body just to stall the demon long enough for his allies to escape.

But he never reached his target.

In that moment he had locked onto Alvey, he had ignored the second most threatening existence on the battlefield.

One who was still pissed at being attacked earlier.

The energies of one of the three most destructive laws in the universe coalesced around a semi-transparent blade.

Silver circuit lines appeared on the hands that held the sword, and slowly, the sword was swung downwards, sending a projected slash of energy forward.

"Extinction Slash."

**SHRING!

With the resonant sound of two blades being rubbed against each other, a razor-thin silver arc of light cleaved through all that obstructed its path with surgical precision, leaving a trail of vanishing echoes in its wake.

In a second, it reached the flugel who had his sword held up high, slicing through his body before going on to do the same to all the others who were in the area behind him.

The man’s battle was cut short, and his movements ceased mid-air.

A second later, a red line of blood appeared from the crown of his head down to his crotch, before his body split into two halves and fell to the ground.

Even the sword he was holding was also split in two by the slash.

One of the other flugels called out his name with a rage-filled expression, but it was drowned out by the screams of both demons and humans on the ground.

The extinction slash went on to carve through everything on the floor, unleashing chaos on the battlefield as many had their body parts severed by this attack.

It was only after it had split apart many beings over a kilometre radius that the energy in the attack finally died out.

...

[Level Up]

Seeing the notifications clouding his field of vision and feeling the power surging into him, Arthur let out a wry smile as he spoke.

’Seems I might end up staying in this world longer than I originally planned...

People from universes with systems like this were still capable of using their power unimpeded when they came to hell, so there was no fear of losing the power gained through it.

One naturally absorbs a piece of their opponent’s power upon vanquishing them, but these Devour Class Systems increase that amount exponentially.

Learning about it is one thing, but experiencing it is a different ball game.’

The boy waved his hand and dismissed the notifications before deciding to use these opponents presented her to power boost himself to the Legendary Realm.

’I can use this to power level myself.

And if I add the ’Third Magic’ that increases my growth rate...I might return from here as a Sovereign.

Even if there are any issues given it’s not been long since I reached the Superior Stage, I’d just let my sub-cosmic regeneration handle it.’

With that thought, he kicked off the ground and dashed towards the flugel charging at him in rage.

The flugel roused his divinity and drew in the energy of the law of destruction; he then crossed his twin blades in front of his chest and swung them forward, releasing a cross-slash of energy, but Arthur only chuckled and spoke.

"Using destruction energy against me? that’s cute."

Arthur held out his left hand and coated it with cosmic energy, ’catching’ the cross slash in his palm. The force behind the attack pushed the boy back to the ground, and his landing impact created a massive house-sized crater around his feet.
