Chapter 43: Chapter 43: I’ll Remember You
"Evan!" Mia cried out the moment she saw him, like she had grabbed a lifeline. She struggled desperately toward him, but Lily and Jackson held her tightly. No matter how hard she tried, she couldn’t break free.
"Let her go!" Seeing Mia being bullied like this, Evan rushed forward angrily. He shoved Jackson hard and pulled the dizzy Mia into his arms.
"Evan!... Take me home!" Mia’s soft, warm body pressed against him, smelling sweetly of alcohol. She hugged Evan tightly, as if terrified he would let go.
Feeling her delicate, curvy figure in his arms, Evan’s anger calmed down a little. Thank god he arrived in time!
"Who the fuck are you? Who let you in?" Jackson frowned and glared at Evan with displeasure, his face twitching.
Hearing Mia call him Evan, Jackson already guessed who he was, but he still didn’t want to give up.
He had chased this girl for over two years and was just about to have her. Being interrupted like this made Jackson furious.
"I’m here to take Mia home! What were you two doing to her just now?" Evan stared coldly at Jackson.
"You say you’re here to take her home, so what? None of us know you! Let go of Mia. We’ll take her home ourselves!"
Lily’s eyes flashed. She tried to snatch Mia back, but Evan pushed her away roughly.
"Exactly! We’re having a class reunion. You suddenly barge in and want to take our classmate away. How do we know you’re really her family? What if you’re some pervert? Let Mia go! We’ll send her back!" Jackson refused to give up and made one last desperate attempt.
The alcohol had made Jackson crazy. He only wanted to get Mia into his car and fuck her right there, turning her into his woman.
He was obsessed with Mia!
He was willing to risk anything to have her.
"Kid, you’re still too young to play games with me." Evan took out his phone coldly and said, "Should I call your teacher right now and let them handle this? Do you think I don’t know what you were trying to do? You think your teacher won’t guess? Or should I call the police and let them investigate? Hmm?!"
"No!! Don’t tell the teacher!! We didn’t mean anything bad. We just wanted to send Mia home! You... you misunderstood!" Anna panicked the second she heard Evan threaten to call the teacher. She immediately backed down and explained nervously.
"Fuck off! Don’t try to scare us with the teacher! Mia is drunk. What’s wrong with me sending her home? I don’t believe you! Let her go!" Jackson’s face turned vicious. He signaled the three delinquents beside him. All four of them started closing in on Evan threateningly.
Evan glanced at the table full of alcohol bottles. He took two steps back, suddenly grabbed a beer bottle, and smashed it hard on the table. Holding the sharp, broken end, he stared coldly at Jackson and the three thugs.
"Fuck! You dare bully my sister-in-law? I haven’t even settled the score with you yet, and you’re still acting tough? You believe I won’t fucking kill you?"
Seeing Evan turn ruthless, Jackson and the others froze in place, panic written all over their faces.
They were just high school delinquents after all.
Evan might not have mixed with real gangsters, but he had fought plenty during his own high school days and had even broken someone’s arm once.
He might not be able to handle real criminals, but against these high school kids? Evan wasn’t scared at all.
Even if all four came at him together, he wouldn’t back down.
"Evan!! Forget them!... I want to go home!! Home!!!" Mia shouted drunkenly while clinging tightly to Evan.
"Give me back Mia’s phone!" Evan glared viciously at Lily and reached out coldly.
"I was just keeping it safe for Mia! Here!" Lily walked over fearfully, her hand shaking as she handed over the phone.
Evan snatched it roughly and stared at Lily with ice-cold eyes. "I’ll remember you."
He smashed the broken bottle on the ground and pointed at Jackson. "And you guys too! If I ever hear about you bullying Mia again, I swear I’ll break your fucking legs!"
Under the fearful stares of all the students in the room, Evan supported the drunk Mia and walked out of the private dining room.
