Chapter 1182: Shane’s Answer: Infusion
Apparently, during their silent days in the sea, Shane wasn’t just idling about.
He was carrying a chisel and creating small talismans every day... Well, thanks to Abed, the Merchant and Captain of the Overgrowth Clan’s fleet, who had visited the Blue Haven Shelter before, he was able to obtain various resources like Rare Sea Herbs, Enchanted Pearls, and, more importantly, the Oceansteel.
The Oceansteel ingots were incredibly precious... They seemed to be almost indestructible against mystical skills. It was the closest thing they had to manasteel.
Shane liked this item a lot and obtained several crates of them and brought them to the ship.
Well, since his system inventory can’t store crates, it was easier to just carry them aboard.
During this past time, he would use his Epic Grade chisel to create small talismans, mostly circular but at times, when he didn’t have a nice piece, he would create small trinkets or key-chain-like items like a mini sword, a shoe, a fist, even small animals, and others...
Of course, these weren’t just for decorations...
He would use his Skill Infuser Talent with each of them!
[ Skill Infuser Talent ( Epic ): This talent allows the Survivor to infuse Survivor Skill in any item you created or modified. You could infuse one or more Survivor Skills depending on the quality of the item and the Spirit Points spent during the process. The success rate of the Skill Infusion depends on several factors, and failing could destroy the item. The greater the skills you choose to imbue, the more Spirit Points you must expend to activate this Talent. ]
At this time, Shane was still infusing his skills.

"Alright... This is the final item for this batch of Oceansteel Protection." Shane muttered. Well, he had already created a lot of them.
To be exact, he just completed fifty Oceansteel Protection Tokens. Now, they were stacked carefully in a crate.
Each one looked so expensive after being infused. The synergy of the Nano Restoration and Aura Sentinel was simply amazing. He was satisfied, those would serve as lifesaving defenses for his crew and allies.
But now, his eyes shifted to the unfinished sets.
On the table lay 20 tokens shaped like emblems with a book. Their surfaces etched with crude lines resembling pages.
Next to them were 50 tokens shaped like sitting dogs. Their forms were somewhat uneven but recognizable. No one could really complain since Shane didn’t have sculptor skill or talent.
Anyway, aside from that, he had 40 tokens shaped like miniature swords, each one sharp in outline though far from perfect craftsmanship.
Needless to say, Shane planned to use these tokens as his way to deal with the Dragon Army even from afar!
"They’re already strong enough... They can deal with this as long as they have the items they needed." Shane muttered.
Well, none of these tokens on the table had been infused yet. They were waiting.
With the message from Fiona, he knew that he had to adjust the skills he wanted to infuse today to suit combat.
Shane picked up one of the book‑like tokens, running his thumb across its surface.
"Alright... let’s start with these."
He activated his talent.
[ Activating Talent: Skill Infuser (Epic) ]
You are about to infuse a selected item...
Selected Item: Book Emblem Token (Oceansteel)
Selected Skills: Spirit Shackles, Aura Suppression, Lightning Surge ]
"These three should be fine, right?" Shane muttered as he felt that these three had synergy as well. Anyway, if he overestimated himself and destroyed the item, he could just make more. He had a lot of Spirit Points anyway.
"Proceed."
A surge of blue light radiated from his palm, flowing into the token. The emblem pulsed, runes forming across its surface.

[ Oceansteel Arcane Emblem ]
[ A book‑shaped oceansteel token engraved with faint lightning marks.
Infused Skills: Spirit Shackles, Aura Suppression, Lightning Surge
Effect: Creates a binding field that slows enemies, suppresses their buffs, and delivers chained lightning strikes within a 20‑meter radius. Activation Cost: 15 Spirit Points per minute Usage Limit: 25 Remarks: created by Shadow Strider ]
Shane grinned as he looked at the beautiful token.
Now, he was sure that the Oceansteel was strong enough to hold three skills. It was amazing.
"Perfect... no, more than perfect." He laughed softly, unable to hide his satisfaction. "This is exactly what I needed."
He turned the token over, admiring the faint lightning marks that etched into the surface.
"With these, even the strongest enemies will be slowed, bound, and struck down. The Dragon Army would surely hesitate once dozens of frontliners activated this."
Shane muttered as he imagined the battle against the Dragon Army.
Anyway, he finally set the emblem carefully beside the others and decided to continue.
"Alright then... let’s keep going. If one emblem feels this good, imagine twenty or more..."
He repeated the process for the remaining 19 book tokens.
Notifications echoed one after another, filling his vision as each infusion succeeded. The crate of book‑like emblems now glowed faintly on the table.
Of course, Shane didn’t plan to have only 20 of them. He planned to make more, but for now, he had to focus on the current set of tokens he had...
Just like that, Shane turned to the dog‑shaped tokens. He chuckled at their uneven forms.
"Not my best sculpting... but let’s see what happens."
He selected one.
[ Activating Talent: Skill Infuser (Epic) ]
Selected Item: Dog Token (Oceansteel)
Selected Skills: Heaven’s Wrath, Seven Shadow Steps
He considered adding more, but in the end, he felt that the effects would weaken if infused with too many skills. Even if the Oceansteel Token could handle it, the energy would be divided by a lot.
"Alright... Proceed."
Just like that, the token vibrated violently as storm energy and shadow merged.
Sparks danced across its surface, then faded into a steady glow.

"What?"
Shane’s eyes widened. "Isn’t this a bit too strong?"
He didn’t expect this at all. He had just created a dog-shaped token because of the time he had. He was already getting bored with those repetitive designs.
However, he didn’t expect that because of the token’s design, the token’s effect created a hound!
After all, both Heaven’s Wrath and Seven Shadow Steps weren’t skills that could make a creature’s image.
’Alright... This is awesome...’
Just like that, he repeated the same process with 49 more!
The pile of dog tokens now looked like a glowing treasure on the table with a faint storm aura as each one was carrying the essence of wrath and stealth.
Finally, Shane glanced at the 40 mini‑sword tokens.
He hadn’t decided which skills to infuse yet, but the possibilities made him smile.
Shane stared over the pile of mini‑sword tokens as he considered what skill to use.
"Sword Mastery... that’s the obvious choice. It would make these tokens a direct extension of a fighter’s skill..."
He paused, imagining his frontliners wielding the infused tokens. "But Sword Mastery alone feels too plain. It needs something more."
He picked up another token and played it in his hand. "Horizontal Slash... Double Thrust... those are straightforward combat skills. If I infused them, the tokens would become reliable, but maybe too predictable. The Dragon Army won’t be impressed by simple slashes."
His eyes narrowed as he considered the other options. "Triple‑Enhanced Vision... now that’s interesting. If I combine vision with sword techniques, the bearer could anticipate movements.... That synergy could make them deadly in duels."
Still, he considered some other skills like Adrenaline Surge, Soul Rend, Predator’s Edge and other movement skills...
Then, as he looked at this set of skills, he found something interesting that he was barely using...
Shane chuckled softly as he saw it... "Iron Finger..."
