Chapter 642: Return to Inazuma

"Alright, let’s head back to Inazuma now." After finishing his meal with Zhongli and returning to the little courtyard, Kaito got ready to go back to Inazuma.

Since they could return to Inazuma in no time at all, there was no need to wait until daybreak tomorrow to head back.

Of course, if Miko or Lumine wanted to sleep here for a night before returning to Inazuma, that would be perfectly fine too.

"Huh? We’re going back right now?"

She hadn’t expected Kaito to want to go back to Inazuma right away instead of waiting until tomorrow. Thinking of that thing still tucked under her pillow, Miko instinctively blurted out the question.

No matter what, she had to deal with that thing properly—otherwise, if she left it behind and someone else happened to find it, she’d be mortified to death.

"That’s right, though if you’d rather sleep first and go back tomorrow, that’s fine too."

Seeing Miko’s surprised expression, Kaito said this.

It made no difference to him anyway—whenever they went back was fine.

Wait!

Could it be that Miko wanted to pack her things?

All of a sudden, this thought occurred to Kaito—especially that thing Mobius had just given her a moment ago.

Then Mobius spoke up as if joking: "Maybe Miko wants to pack her things—girls have all sorts of things, you know."

This rotten Mobius is taking a jab at me again!

Miko knew that Mobius’s words carried a hidden meaning—it was just that Kaito didn’t catch it.

As for everyone else, they probably didn’t catch it either.

"Of course I’m going to pack my things."

As if to answer Mobius, Miko stated that she definitely needed to pack.

"I’ll go pack up my clothes." At this point, Lumine spoke up, saying she’d go tidy up her clothes.

In truth, she only had a few articles of clothing to pack and not much else.

"I’ll go pack my clothes too." Hearing Lumine say that, Miko hurriedly declared that she’d go pack her clothes as well, then headed straight for her own room.

Bang—

After shutting the door, Miko took out that thing she’d stashed under her pillow.

Right now she was a little conflicted—conflicted about whether or not to bring this thing back with her.

Even though Mobius had just said she was giving this thing to her, she still felt it was a bit odd to take it back to Inazuma.

And more importantly, in Inazuma she was the well-respected Lady Guuji, which made her feel all the more awkward—even though she’d only ever use this thing in front of Kaito.

In Liyue it wasn’t so bad, since hardly anyone there knew her, but in Inazuma it was a different story.

Forget it!

I’ll take it back and figure it out later...

After standing by the bed and thinking it over for a while, Miko ultimately decided to take it back to Inazuma and deal with it later.

A little while later.

"Are you both all packed up?"

Standing in the middle of the little courtyard and watching Miko and Lumine walk over, Kaito asked this question.

"Mm, all packed."

Lumine nodded first.

"All packed." Nodding likewise, Miko then went on: "But don’t the three of you have anything to pack?"

Looking at Kaito, Wendy, and Mobius—none of whom were carrying anything—Miko seemed a little puzzled.

Of course, it seemed normal to her that Mobius had nothing, since she’d only arrived recently, but Kaito and Wendy were a different matter.

"I have a dedicated storage cabinet, and it’s the invisible kind." Smiling, Kaito put on a very mysterious air as he reached out his hand toward Miko and continued: "Do you want to put all your things in here? There’s still plenty of room—"

"No need!"

Before Kaito could even finish, Miko was already shaking her head like a rattle-drum.

But she quickly realized she’d clearly overreacted a bit, and hurried to explain: "Aiya, this is all I’ve got—I’ll just carry it directly."

Having said that, Miko broke into a smile.

Sigh...

Why did I get so worked up...

At this moment, Miko couldn’t help but sigh inwardly.

It couldn’t be helped—she had clearly acted a bit strange just now.

Still, if it had only been Kaito here, she definitely would have handed that thing over to him to put away in that storage cabinet of his.

But right now Wendy and the others were here too, so she’d just carry it herself.

"Then let’s head back—let’s go!"

Seemingly not finding anything strange about it, Kaito finished speaking and immediately vanished from the spot along with everyone else.

Inazuma City.

"We’re finally back."

Looking at the surroundings that now seemed somewhat unfamiliar, Kaito couldn’t help but say this.

"Then I’ll head back to the shrine first." Seeing that they’d returned to Inazuma, Miko figured she’d go back to the shrine to check whether anything had come up.

After all, as the Lady Guuji, she had been away for quite a while now, so she had to see whether anything had happened.

"I’ll take you back to the shrine."

As he said this, Kaito didn’t wait for Miko to respond—he simply grabbed her hand and vanished from the spot together with her.

"Damn it! I’m going to follow along and see whether they get up to anything."

Right after, Wendy vanished from the spot too.

"Sigh, what a little girl."

At this, Mobius seemed somewhat exasperated, then she turned her head to look at Lumine and said: "By the way, where was it that you all live again? I’ve forgotten."

"Then... come with me, Mobius."

After hesitating a moment, Lumine decided to take Mobius to where they were staying.
