Chapter 73: Chapter 73: Fans: Gabriel Sinclair Is Unworthy

[@everyone, all contestants selected for *Genius* need to create a Weibo account. The official account will be posting and tagging everyone shortly.]

The group admin was the director. After checking the Weibo IDs the contestants had sent him, he noticed Chloe Sinclair’s was missing and sent her a private message.

Director Warren: [Chloe, have you created your Weibo account yet?]

Chloe Sinclair: [Not yet. I’ll do it right now.]

After replying, Chloe Sinclair went offline.

She had never had a Weibo account, but creating one wasn’t difficult.

She had an account registered in less than three minutes.

However, picking a username was a bit of a nightmare.

At first, she tried many usernames, but every single one was already taken.

It wasn’t until her nineteenth attempt that Chloe Sinclair finally succeeded.

"Sigh."

Having finally created her account, Chloe Sinclair let out a long, drawn-out sigh.

Once her Weibo account was successfully registered, she sent the ID to the director.

「Three minutes later.」

Director Warren: [Are you serious about this username?]

Chloe Sinclair: [Yeah.]

Director Warren looked at the cringey username Chloe Sinclair had sent him, and the corner of his mouth twitched.

But then he remembered the girl was still young and probably going through a phase, so he wasn’t too surprised.

So, he sent the username to the operations team.

Then he added, [Chloe, remember to follow the show’s official account. Once you get some followers, you can get verified.]

[Okay, thanks for the reminder, Director Warren.]

Chloe Sinclair then shut off her phone, closed her eyes, and in the next instant, she entered the System.

Weibo

Once *Genius* finalized its list of contestants, the show’s official account tagged everyone who had passed the auditions in a Weibo post.

*Genius*: [Don’t miss the premiere of *Genius* next Sunday! See you there! @TheUniversallyInvincibleChloeSinclair, @Vincent...]

An official announcement from a show’s production team was normally a very routine affair.

But when netizens saw who the show had tagged, their brains seemed to short-circuit for a minute or two.

[Pardon my asking, but did the show tag the wrong person?]

’Is "TheUniversallyInvincibleChloeSinclair" a serious username?’

[Hahaha, no need to doubt, person above. The show definitely didn’t tag the wrong person. I just went and snooped on the profile; it’s a brand-new account. Obviously, the production team made them create it.]

[So which one of the geniuses came up with such a cringey name?]

[Geniuses are cringey just like us? This just shattered my entire perception of what a genius is.]

[Hey, everyone, am I the only one wondering if this Chloe Sinclair is *that* Chloe Sinclair? You know, the one we’re all thinking of.]

[I dunno, it’s probably just someone with the same name.]

[Yeah, the Chloe Sinclair from that huge scandal before probably couldn’t get on a show like this. Even though she ranked first in her entire school, Zenthia has so many geniuses. She probably wouldn’t even make it past the auditions. It has to be someone else with the same name.]

[You guys are all focused on ’TheUniversallyInvincibleChloeSinclair,’ but am I the only one who cares about who the new mysterious guest is?]

The other four mentors had already been announced. Besides Hector York, who was invited to be a mentor, the other three were some of the nation’s most distinguished researchers.

The show had been on the air for a decade, the reason being that the higher-ups wanted to scout a new generation of exceptional talent.

Aside from Hector York, who was there to attract viewers, the other three professors were genuinely there to scout for talent.

It was just that they didn’t garner as much public attention.

[My wild guess is Gabriel Sinclair.]

[Person above, don’t you dare drag our Gabriel into this. Everyone knows he bombed the college entrance exam with a 250. He’s not worthy!]

[Sorry, our Gabriel isn’t worthy!]
