Chapter 184: Chapter 184: Your Brother Has Your Back

Chloe Sinclair was genuinely startled by Jasper Shaw’s extravagant offer.

"The experiment is already halfway done. Once I calculate the critical temperature, all I need to do is build a model. It won’t cost much."

Jasper Shaw paused for a moment before asking, "Do you need a site for it?"

He quickly sifted through the properties he owned, and a few ideal options came to mind.

Just as he was about to offer one to Chloe Sinclair, she shook her head. "The open space outside the lab is big enough."

Jasper Shaw was a little disappointed.

Ian Winters glanced at his boss in the rearview mirror, unsure whether to laugh or cry.

’That has to be the first person I’ve ever seen who’s disappointed he can’t give a house away.’

The moment he started to snicker, he looked up and met Jasper Shaw’s hawk-like eyes staring intently at him in the rearview mirror.

"Just drive."

Jasper Shaw’s words were laced with a heavy threat. Ian Winters instantly sat bolt upright and drove with a dead-serious expression.

A few minutes later, the black Bentley stopped at the entrance of the white laboratory.

The two of them got out of the car. Chloe Sinclair stood at the entrance and used the facial recognition scanner.

The lab door CLICKED open. At the entrance, Chloe Sinclair slipped on a lab coat and handed one to Jasper Shaw.

"The lab contains a lot of important data, so I upgraded the door over the past few days."

Chloe Sinclair said, having already put on her lab coat and goggles.

"This is the engineering prototype I built. In a little while, I’ll build a larger one outside the lab."

In the center of the vast laboratory was a simulated maglev train.

Jasper Shaw’s eyes lit up, and he couldn’t help but praise, "It’s even better than I imagined."

"The full-scale engineering prototype will be completed within three months. Within two years, I can guarantee the maglev train will pass inspection and be ready for service."

As Chloe Sinclair spoke, she pressed a nearby starter. The scaled-down maglev prototype slowly came to life. In just a few seconds, it climbed a nearly sixty-degree incline before sliding back down with perfect stability. Most importantly, its speed didn’t lag at all.

This demonstration far exceeded Jasper Shaw’s expectations.

"Is it difficult to build?"

Chloe Sinclair shook her head. "Not very, because the maglev train can adapt to various types of terrain."

"I’m using the principle of a linear synchronous motor for propulsion. As it moves through a conductor, the magnetic field changes, creating an electromotive force."

As Chloe Sinclair finished speaking, the maglev engineering prototype came to a stop.

Jasper Shaw was stunned into silence for a long moment.

Chloe Sinclair’s progress on the experiment had far, far exceeded his imagination.

His business empire spanned the globe, and while he wasn’t an expert in scientific research, he still knew a thing or two.

In recent years, Jasper Shaw had spent tens, even hundreds, of billions on various research labs because he was optimistic about the future pace of technological development.

Yet, for an experiment that would take others three to five years, or even decades, to show progress, Chloe Sinclair had done it in less than four months.

Jasper Shaw took a moment to compose himself, then took a deep breath. "Don’t rush the experiment. Your health is what’s most important."

After speaking, he looked at Chloe Sinclair and asked tentatively, "Have you run into any trouble recently?"

Chloe Sinclair wasn’t surprised that Jasper Shaw would ask.

"It’s nothing serious. My professors and classmates treat me very well."

Seeing that Jasper Shaw didn’t seem convinced, Chloe Sinclair could only say, "You don’t need to worry."

"Then just be careful, and if you run into any problems, be sure to tell your brothers."

"They’ll have your back."
