Chapter 100: Getting A Little Too Mischievous

Charlotte was scrolling through her phone when she suddenly became agitated. "That bastard..." she muttered under her breath.

"What happened?" She asked, noticing Charlotte’s distress.

"See what he had sent?" Charlotte asked, showing her the picture on her phone.

"Don’t feel sad.." Thea consoled, trying to calm angry Charlotte down.

"That man is so bad..mean.." Charlotte exclaimed. "He ruined the entire hard work of mine. I have spent nearly three special hours of mine to decorate his apartment," Charlotte uttered, still fuming.

"Fine, I would remember this forever," Charlotte declared, her voice filled with determination.

"When are you leaving?" Charlotte asked, looking at Thea.

"Now, maybe..." Thea replied, gathering her things.

"Okay, let’s go... I’ll take back the plants from his apartment," Charlotte said, determination in her voice.

Thea gave Charlotte the address, and Charlotte instructed her driver to head in that direction.

"Okay, bye... Don’t get angry..." Thea said, before getting out of the car.

"Call me later..." She added, as a parting request.

"Okay. Got it.... You go and enjoy with your little company," Charlotte said with a wave of her hand, referring to Julia.

She smiled and headed to the house address Julia had sent her earlier.

Meanwhile, in Ryan’s apartment, Charlotte appeared, taking in the sight of the entire house she had earlier decorated with lush green plants and fresh flowers. There were also several hanging baskets adorning the balcony. Just as she was about to retrieve the plants, the entrance door opened again.

"Ryan, you are at home," Charlotte called out from the balcony, her voice carrying a hint of surprise.

Ryan, seeing a pair of shoes he recognized, understood that this girl had come to his apartment again. He made his way to the balcony, where he was met with the sight of Charlotte wearing a short-sleeved frock. Her thick, long brown hair was draped over her shoulders, and beneath the hem of her frock, her fair, slender legs were visible. She looked like a seductive vixen, and Ryan’s eyes darkened with a mix of surprise and disapproval.

"Who allowed you to dress like that around here?" Ryan asked gruffly, his brows twitching in a frown as he took in Charlotte’s attire.

"Like what?" Charlotte asked, swirling around innocently. "My breasts and butt are well covered. Only my knees and calves are showing. All the young girls go out in the streets dressed like this. What’s wrong with it?"

Ryan didn’t know where to look, feeling a mix of embarrassment and discomfort. Indeed, Charlotte’s clothes weren’t revealing, and he couldn’t pin point what exactly was making him uneasy.

"I haven’t settled my score with you for what you did to my house yesterday." Ryan said, changing the subject.

"Look, I even have a few cuts on my palm from moving the plants around again." she added, showing him her hand. Ryan lowered his gaze and saw the tiny cuts on the tender skin of her delicate palm.

"You are still doing that?" Ryan said, his voice laced with annoyance.

"You don’t have to remove those plants," Ryan uttered softly, trying to appease her.

"Did you like it?" Charlotte asked, but Ryan didn’t answer. Instead, he retreated to his room, leaving Charlotte feeling annoyed.

She pulled a face at his departing silhouette. "Bastard.." she murmured under her breath.

She followed behind him as he was about to close the door, and burst into his room. "What now?" Ryan asked, clearly annoyed.

"I’m feeling hungry.." Charlotte replied, her eyes scanning the room.

"Go to your own house." Ryan spoke, his tone firm.

"Don’t be so mean... Make something for me," Charlotte suggested, pouting.

"I don’t know how to cook." Ryan replied, shaking his head.

"Give me your phone then.I will ordered something."

"No," Ryan spoke, his voice firm, and put her out of his room.

"Are you afraid that I’ll find some secret on your phone?" Charlotte retorted, her voice dripping with sarcasm. With no response from Ryan, Charlotte went to the living room, took out her phone, and ordered some dishes online, her eyes fixed on the screen.

Shortly after, the dishes arrived at his apartment. Charlotte received the order and went to savor them. She was eating pasta when Ryan came to get some water.

"Where’s mine?" Ryan asked, looking around.

"Did I say I would buy it for you?" Charlotte spoke, her voice laced with sarcasm.

Ryan took out another dish from the packet and opened it. "Hey, why are you having it? That’s for me!" Charlotte exclaimed, looking at the scene and shouting.

"Eating this type of dish is not good for your health," Ryan spoke, trying to reason with her.

"If it’s not good for your health, don’t dare to have it. You mind your own health, I’ll mind my own," Charlotte retorted, her voice firm.

"I am going to tell your grandma about this," Ryan threatened.

"I am too going to tell your parents and Grandma about your girlfriend." Charlotte uttered, her eyes flashing with annoyance.

"If you have the courage, go and tell them... I have to tell them later anyway,it will be easy for me to explain to them." Ryan said, her voice laced with defiance.

"Scumbag..." Charlotte uttered, her eyes flashing with anger.

Charlotte became sad and kept quiet, her emotions shifting suddenly."Why no words?" Ryan asked, noticing the sudden silence.

"I don’t want to talk with you." Charlotte replied, her voice cold and distant.

With a flourish of frustration, Charlotte dumped the leftover pasta into the trash, making her displeasure known. She then turned on her heel and stormed out of the apartment, slamming the door shut behind her with a loud bang that echoed through the hallway, leaving no doubt about her departure.

Thea was playing with Julia in her room when Julia said, "Sister Thea, see my drawing." Julia retrieved a drawing book and brought it back to her, who opened it and began turning the pages. "These are so lovely!" She exclaimed.

Thea went to the last page and saw a picture of four people: a man, a lady, a small girl, and a baby. "Sister Thea, let me tell you a secret. Come here." Julia whispered, motioning for her.

She went over, and Julia shared her news softly, "I am going to have a sibling." Julia giggled.

"So, Julia is going to have a younger sibling." Thea spoke softly.

"Hmm... I am quite excited to meet my sibling."

"Do you want a boy or a girl?"

"Ah, that’s difficult.. I want the sibling my mother would give me, whether it’s a boy or girl." Julia confessed.

"That’s a good answer." Thea praised, ruffling Julia’s hair.

Sarah entered her daughter’s room. "Thea, is she troubling you?" she inquired.

"No, Madam... Julia is so sweet. She was showing me her drawings,"

"Mommy, see my drawing." Julia exclaimed, running to Sarah to display her artwork.

Sarah took Julia in her arms and cuddled her warmly. "Congratulations, Madam." Thea offered with a smile, wishing Sarah well.

"Sister Thea, you don’t have to call her Madam... my mommy is not like that bad witch." Julia whispered.

"Julia, don’t talk like that about the elders." Sarah reprimanded softly."Why not... I will call them witches... like mother, like daughter..." Julia continued, her voice trailing off in defiance.

"Julia, what your mother said is correct. They are elders; we shouldn’t disrespect them." Thea spoke gently.

"Whatever... but Sister Thea, don’t ever believe that two-faced Savannah at all.." Julia spoke softly, her voice laced with distrust.

"Okay, I will listen only to Julia’s words." Thea replied, smiling reassuringly at Julia.

"Let’s have some snacks. Julia, you will take your sister Thea to the dining table." Sarah instructed, before exiting the room.

"Let’s go, Sister Thea," Julia said excitedly, extending her small hand to grab her hand.

She led her to the dining table, her tiny hand wrapped tightly around Thea’s fingers as she guided her through the spacious hallway.

Julia’s house was big and comfortable, with a warm atmosphere, but not as grand or luxurious as Ryder’s mansion.

She sat beside Julia after gently placing her in her seat, making sure she was comfortable.

"That two-faced Savannah is always running after Brother Ryder. I don’t like her at all."

"If you become Brother Ryan’s wife, I would be absolutely thrilled." Julia continued, her eyes sparkling with excitement and enthusiasm, clearly delighted at the prospect.

"You’re getting a little too mischievous, young one!" as she gently pinched Julia’s cheeks.
