Chapter 2029: Chapter 1590: Can You Help Me Find a New God Star?

Not only were the remains useless, but a single Star Mover alone was also useless. The greatest ability of a Star Mover is to migrate the God Star back and forth from the Unplowed Land and here, which a single Star Mover cannot achieve.

So, the Star Mover in the Land of the Infinity went to great lengths to train Ange to become a Star Mover; otherwise, he would be isolated and unable to accomplish anything.

A Star Mover unable to migrate the God Star essentially becomes nothing more than a Dark Star.

After Anthony finished reading what he wanted, he contacted the No.5 Divine Star on the spot and said, "I’ve finished. How do I give you the fragment of the other Star Mover?"

The No.5 Divine Star said, "Just give it to the God of Tree."

Anthony handed the fragment to the Tree Herder. The Tree Herder took it in confusion and asked, "What is this?"

Anthony gave a brief explanation, and the Wood Tree Man’s face showed a clear look of disappointment, "You’re just here to take a look?"

"Yes, what did you think we were here for?" Anthony asked, pretending to be puzzled.

The Tree Herder said disappointedly, "I thought you were here to help me revive the main star."

Anthony’s heart skipped a beat, and he asked, "Did the No.5 Divine Star tell you that? That he would help you revive the main star?"

"No.5 Divine Star? Is that his name?" The Tree Herder asked in surprise.

"Yes, what do you call him?" Anthony inquired.

He realized that the Tree Herder and the No.5 Divine Star didn’t seem to be aligned; they appeared unfamiliar with each other. Perhaps he could gather some information about the No.5 Divine Star from the Tree Herder.

The Tree Herder replied, "The God Star has no name."

"Then we’ll call him No.5 Divine Star. Did he promise to help you revive your main star?" Anthony asked.

"Yes, this is the first time he asked me to bring people to inspect the remains of the main star. I thought you were here to revive the main star," the Tree Herder said.

Anthony pondered for a moment and then asked, "When you mention reviving the main star, to what extent are you referring?"

The Tree Herder was momentarily stunned. Different levels of revival? Of course, it was about restoring it to its state when it was still alive.

Anthony explained, "Revival comes in many forms. Is it reviving its remains? Or its Star Soul? Is it reviving a Star Soul that possesses its abilities? Or a God Star with its memories?"

"You need to be clear about your needs. Do you need to revive a Star Mover with star migration ability, or just a God Star that allows you to take root?"

The Tree Herder was dumbfounded. So many distinctions? Its needs?

What did it need... No one had ever asked about its needs before. Anthony’s sudden inquiry left it at a loss for words.

Seeing it in this state, Anthony instantly understood and whispered devilishly, "The simpler the need, the easier it is to achieve. For example, if you only want a God Star to take root, it’s very simple. Split off a new branch, and I can find you a God Star to root in."

The Tree Herder’s expression changed, but it said nothing.

Anthony continued whispering, "Reviving your main star, if it’s just the Star Soul, is relatively simple..."

Before he could finish, the Tree Herder interrupted him in shock, "Simple? Reviving its Star Soul is simple?"

Anthony’s heart skipped a beat, and he frowned, saying, "Is it that difficult? I’m not a God Star, nor have I attempted it. Is it difficult? Isn’t it just a Star Soul?"

The Tree Herder sized up Anthony and said, "Just a Star Soul? Do you know how difficult it is to hatch a Star Soul? Look at the vast Void, among those God Stars that have lost their Star Souls, how many can successfully hatch a new Star Soul? Do you think this is the Land of the Infinity?"

Anthony was internally startled but maintained a calm facade, asking, "It’s easy to hatch new Star Souls in the Land of the Infinity?"

"Of course, it’s the cradle of life; all the God Stars in the sky were hatched from there," the Tree Herder replied.

"Then indeed, reviving a God Star without a Star Soul would be much easier, wouldn’t it?" Anthony said.

Anthony’s words immediately led the Tree Herder into a context of ’much easier,’ prompting it to ponder deeply whether it was necessary to pursue the revival of a Star Soul.

The No.5 Divine Star didn’t notice this at all, nor did the Tree Herder itself: their needs were vastly different.

The No.5 Divine Star needed a God Star with star migration ability. But did the Tree Herder need a Star Mover?

Previously, the Tree Herder had never considered this. Having coexisted with the main star for years, and now sustained by the unique life force of the Tree of Ten Thousand Realms, it had survived until now even after the main star died.

Now, however, it was left with only a small area within its dead tree stump’s core.

When the No.5 Divine Star found it and told it about reviving its main star, it naturally assumed ’reviving the main star’ was its primary task.

Yet, Anthony’s whispers made it involuntarily ponder deeply: Does it need to revive the main star? A main star with memories, migration abilities, and similar mass—is it necessary?

Apparently not. It urgently needed a God Star to take root, preferably a young God Star with growth potential, not like its naturally aging and dying main star. Star migration ability wouldn’t make it grow taller or stronger than other divine trees.

A simple ’your needs’ threw the Tree Herder’s heart into disarray, leaving it at a loss.

Seeing this, Anthony began probing further by asking, "Are those creatures your guardian elves?"

"Yes," the Tree Herder responded.

"Why are there so few of them? Is it because you’re withering and can’t sustain them?" Anthony asked.

The relation between the divine tree and elves can be intricate, not all elves merely demand like those on the Master Plane, where the roles have reversed due to being pampered by the God of Life.

Many guardian elves meticulously tend to the divine tree, organize planting, diligently herd, and nurture more life.

The divine tree and guardian elves often exist symbiotically and reciprocally. Moreover, elves are nurtured by the God of Tree, akin to its children, enhancing the complexity of their bond.

This question was purely exploratory for Anthony, probing the Tree Herder’s relation with the Void Elves. Observing the Tree Herder barely active in its core area, yet still sustaining those elves, the relation likely wasn’t poor.

The Tree Herder was silent for a moment, then said, "It’s somewhat difficult to sustain them. Do you have any solution for their placement?"

"What kind of placement do you need? Find them a divine tree to settle in? There might be fights with the native elves of other divine trees. Or should I find you a new God Star to root, then have them move along with you?" Anthony asked.

When options are phrased, it’s wise to be cautious of whether they are suggestive.

Currently, while Anthony’s question seemed to offer two options, it was inherently suggestive, leading the initially clueless Tree Herder to finally say, "Can you help me find a new God Star?"

PS: I went for a Qingming event, it’s the most exhausting time every year, with intense activity from 3 am to 1 pm and a mild heatstroke, now feeling sore all over.
