Chapter 93: 93. The aftermath
Levi was inside the car when he saw Raven and Rosie hugging and kissing while everyone else was almost inside the cars and they showed no interest in breaking their embrace. No one dared to go to them and tell them to get inside a car so they could leave because Raven was their beta and she was his mate.
He stepped out of the car because he felt annoyed that they were making out when everyone was watching and some of the shifters present there had lost the other half of their souls just a few hours ago.
Stepping out, he started walking towards the couple when the scent hit him. It was the sweetest and strongest scent that he had ever come across. The scent was kind of familiar to him one he had picked up before but this time, it smelt sweeter and riper. He wondered where he had picked up the scent before but he could not remember and he did waste the time to think of where, when he knew she was very close to him.
He searched the place and his eyes zeroed in on her. There, she stood with an elder woman and another who looked like her mother. She was the most beautiful girl that he had ever laid his eyes upon.
"Mate,"
That was the right word that he could think that made as every other word that thought of sounded ridiculous to him at that moment. his lips curled into a smile when he saw lips move whispering the same words.
He one step after the other, slowly approaching her while she looked at her grandmother who gave her a nod, and then looked at neither who did not what reaction she should give. He heard the old shifter encourage her, "Go to him dear." he smiled again when she took the first step toward him.
They reach each other and they get lost just staring into each other’s eyes. He reached out and took her and everything seemed to fade around. Leaving them in their world as the sparks traveled through their hands that were linked eliciting pleasure inside of them.
Everyone present was visibly surprised to see them like that. They all knew what was happening and it took them off guard. Not expecting mates to find themselves at such a time. But then again, no one knew exactly when the bond would kick in and notify the various partners.
Raven and Rosie looked at them, while one looked bored, the other smiled brightly happy for the newly found mates.
"Get in the car let’s go," Raven said to them because they had been staring at each other without speaking for some time now. "Continue your staring contest once we arrive at the pack."
At the mention of the pack, Rosie was reminded of what happened and about Fana whom she had momentarily forgotten she wanted to ask but it did not seem right to ask about it right now She closed her mouth and decided to wait for the right moment when they were inside their car to talk about it.
Emily’s mother and grandmother reached where she was with her mate and smiled at them before walking into one of the cars. "I should join them," Emily said, going against the desire to jump on him and stay in his hands forever.
Emily didn’t think he recognized her but she recognised him well. And she couldn’t believe that her mate was the gamma to the Supreme Alpha.
"Come with me." Let’s say both liked the fact that she would be entering another car while he entered another. He tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear cupped her cheek in his hand and waited for her response.
All that he wanted to do was to kiss her, Mark, and make her his for all of see. He and his beast wanted her to bear their mark, they wanted to see how beautiful she would look with the mark on her. They wanted her, all of her.
"Okay," Emily said. Her response made him smile. He took hold of her hand and led her into the car that he and Ravennhad rode. He opened the door for her and she got in meeting Dana inside the back seat.
Levi used the door and entered the front passenger seat, sitting next to Ravennwhie was driving the car.
His eyes were on his mate as he stared through the rear mirror.
"Beta Raven." Emily greeted the beta who gave a glance at her and nodded his head in acknowledgement of other greetings.
"How do you feel?" Rosie asked and Emily blushed at the question, her eyes shifting to Levi who sat at ye and their gazes locked for a moment. "I am happy for you, Emily."
The cars drove speedily through the roads crossing the borders of the pack and heading for theirs. The journey was like a trip across cities. It took a few hours before the car arrived at the pack house of the Blood Moon Pack.
The place was quiet and looked deserted with only a few warriors moving around trying to clean up the pack of what was left of the fight that had taken place. The aftermath of the attack was not a sight pleasing to the eyes.
As they aligned and stopped at the pack house the pack members came out of the many cars with their mouths and eyes wide open. The lack was a mess and looked nothing like how it used to be. Thought meat if the dead bodies had been taken away, the pack was still not looking good.
They looked around to find their alpha and Luna but they could not find them, not even the gamma could be seen and they grew worried again. What were they going to do if one of those many-pack pact breaks was with the alpha or Luna or maybe even both?
Emily and Rosie looked at each other as they were both thinking of the same thing. Alpha Lazarus could not be found, Luna Dana also could not be found or felt around the pack and even Kora was nowhere to be found.
