Chapter 85: 85. Three unique people
After much concentration and pouring her power into the wound, Kora was able to stop the smoke from spreading and extinguishing it and also able to jump-start Lazarus’ healing ability. Kora wrapped her hands around his neck, her head on the side of his face. "You are alright now, Lazarus."
’Thank you.’ Lazarus said, opening his eyes to look at her. He looked ahead of them and saw Darren, Raven and Ezra fighting off the creatures. ’I owe him.’ He said and Kora did not quite understand what he meant. ’Your mate, I owe him for his help.’
’No, you don’t.’ Kora said and she stood up while picking up her daggers. ’You are allies, and something like this is common, isn’t it?’ Kora asked.
’True... Lazarus paused when he received a sudden mind link from the warriors that were placed at the pack house to guard the people inside who were not able to get to the safe house in time.
’Alpha, they are here and we can’t stop them.’
Lazarus turned to look in the direction of the pack house. ’Hold your ground I am on my way.’ he said and linked Raven and Ezra, ’Raven, you stay and lead them here, Ezra, come with me.’ He said and started running towards the pack house. He did not know when they got past them and reached the pack house but he had to make sure that they did not go beyond that because after the pack house, was the safehouse where most of the pack members’ women and children were hiding including his mate.
Ezra turned around and followed his Alpha as he ran in the direction of the pack house. Raven stopped and looked at them, then at the pack house where Only the roof could be seen from where he stood. ’Stay safe Rosie.’ he said, praying for the safety of his mate. As much as he would have loved to go there, his alpha has given him instructions and he knew that it was important that he should stay as his presence would be a reassurance to the others.
The alpha of the Blackstorm pack looked at where Lazarus and Ezra were going and followed them to the pack house.
Darren received a mind link from his beta telling him about the problem taking place in the pack house and turned to see that Lazarus had already left to join them there. Killing the creature that he was fighting, he walked back to Kora. He received a few scratches that were not healing just like that of Lazarus and continued bleeding.
Kora could see the wounds on his body. The wounds were not simple and they were deep and she could see them now that his shirt was gone and he had shifted back to his human skin. "Let me take care of that." Darren gave her a nod and looked behind her. She touched her palm on his chest where there was a large cut and it started closing and so did the rest of the cuts on his body.
"Do we go with them, Alpha?" Mateo asked. He walked over and stood next to Kora.
"You will stay here and assist Lazarus’ beta. Kora and I will go from here. It seems they are after something or someone else." Darren said looking at Kora who nodded and agreed.
"Understood Alpha," Mateo and Levi agreed and glanced at Kora. They couldn’t help but be awed by what she can do.
’Raven.’ Kora called the beta.
’I heard, you can go, I will take care of things here. They aren’t that many anymore and they are more warriors here than they are there.’ Raven said, taking a pause, He looked at her before moving further away.
’Okay.’ Kora said and ended the link. Kora turned and looked in the direction of the pack house and her expression turned heavy.
"What is it?" Darren asked on seeing her expression.
"Spell casters." She said with a frown as if the words left a bitter taste in her mouth. "We Have to go," she said and shifted for the first time since the battle started. Darren shifted as well and followed her as she ran towards the pack house.
Mateo and Levi looked at Kora’s wolf with wide eyes. They had never seen a wolf with that colour before. They were not the only ones who seemed shocked to see her wolf, even the warriors of the Blood Moon pack were equally shocked as they had never seen her shift before.
The two other two alphas left, looked at each other and made a silent decision to follow them to the pack house.

Lazarus and Ezra arrived at the pack house and found it surrounded by vampires and spell casters and some Abominations that were kept as guards to them. Lazarus stopped and stood at a distance from them. Ezra followed shortly and stood beside him.
The leader of the vampires who was captain Leroy recognised Lazarus’ wolf and stepped forward with a warm smile on his lips. "Alpha Lazarus," He called, still walking toward Lazarus.
A low growl was heard from Lazarus which successfully made the vampire stop in his steps but the smile on his lips did not leave. " I will go straight to the point." The vampire said, tugging his hands into his pockets. "We have heard that you have three very unique and interesting people in your pack, so we have come to ask you to kindly hand them over to us and no one will die." He sadc un a sung sing voice.
Lazarus shifts back to his human skin, not minding the fact that he was in his birthday suit. " Who?" he asked and the vampire’s smile got wider.
"I heard you have a hybrid witch with you, we want her," Leroy said and smiled even brighter.
Lazarus growled at them when he heard what the vampire had said. They want his mate.
"The second is the precious and rare mystic wolf." The Vampire continued talking like he did not hear the threatening growl from Lazarus and Ezra.
"And the third would be the Alpha supreme’s mate who is still residing in your pack." He said, his eyes sparkling at the end of his words and looking at Lazarus innocently.
