Chapter 117: 117. Wouldn’t mind killing the humans
Gaia who was now in control turned to meet Darren’s red eyes which is evidence that it was his lycan who had taken control as well. A smile appeared on her face as she stared at her mate.
The people around looked at them and rolled their eyes. They knew that right now it was their beasts that were in control and this was a bit much of a PDA for the pack even though it was not uncommon for shifters to display affection publicly like this.
"Mate," Gaia said walking towards Darren who smiled at her and puts his hands around her. She stretched her hand and touched his face.
Elder Williams and Mateo stepped forward to dismiss the people as the Alpha and Luna seem to be busy with other things now.
"Get a room you two," Ezra said and Kora’s head snapped to look in his direction. A low growl left Darren’s throat because her atyenruonwas taken from him and his red eyes geared at Ezra.
"Ezra," Gaia called his name.
"You know me?" Ezra asked and Gaia nodded. "You must be Gaia, it feels wired talking to a wolf like this." He said. "What happens to Kora?"
"She is doing fine," Gaia answered. "Thank you." She said and Ezra raised an eyebrow. "For taking care of her," Gaia said.
"I needed to do that, alpha would have had my head chopped off if I didn’t." Ezra joked
"You know that is not true," Gaia said and Ezra shrugged. "You did it because you care." she pointed out.
"At least there is a side of her that can show appreciation to someone for their hard work," Ezra said with a smirk. "I will rub on her face later."
Gaia chuckled and muttered, "Children." She face Emily who smiled back at her be she looked at Darren again.
Those who were only known this for the first time looked at Gaia or Kora with questioning gazes. Not understanding how Kora became Gaia and talking of herself in a third person’s perspective.

Far away in the human city near the Blood Moon pack, a man walked towards a bungalow, the lights were out and the doors locked. He knocked gently at first-time a guest would. But when there was no response he started banging it loudly and yelling out a name. "Rosie?" He yelled and continued to bang on the door.
After five minutes of banging and no response, he kicked the open and walked inside. He didn’t bother turning on the lights and walked straight up the stairs heading for the room on the roof of the building. The door was locked and he stopped to knock again but then he kicked it down after knocking once.
He looked at the pink-colored room and. Steppef was inside but he did not find anyone inside. He took out his phone and called her number but it was not going through and was switched off. His fist clenched until his knuckles turned white.
Sailing another number, the call was answered after two rings. Without waiting to exchange pleasantries he straightforwardly asked, "Where is she?" he listen to the other person on the phone and asked again, "With who? The same man who kept in prison the whole time?" Anger was laced in his voice as he spoke. His grip on the phone tightened when the other person confirmed his words to be true. "Find them and let me know where they are." He said and disconnected the call.
He walked out of the room and down the stairs healing for the kitchen, and turning on the lights on his way so he could see clearly. Opening the kitchen cabinets, he took out a bottle of whisky, uncapping it, he drank directly from the bottle.
He slammed the bottle on the island countertop and sat on a stool. His eyes were red in anger. For the first time someone had thrown him to jail and he was not able to leave like he always does and had to wait until the law thought he had learned his lesson and changed.
He was beyond mad and infuriated. He glared at the bottle of whisky in front of him before picking it up and drinking it again. He had tried to figure out who the man was that had sent him to jail but all of his resources were of no use and no one could find out who he was until later when someone said that he had seen him somewhere and started to monitor him. But he did not expect that his beloved daughter would go with the man who sent her father to jail.
He was mad at wanted to track a lesson or two but now he was sure he would make her suffer even more by making her watch as that man would be killed by him and she would be left helpless again.
His phone rang again, checking it, he saw that it was the same number he had called earlier and picked up he put the phone near his ear after sliding his thumb on the receive button. He did not speak and waited for the other person to speak first. "The next city?" he asked. "Okay, I got it, find out which house and let me know."
The man on the other side said something again and she said, "Okay, I will see you tomorrow... Yes, at the cafe, don’t be late." He disconnected the call and dropped the phone on the island countertop.

In the Blood Moon Pack,
Raven lay in bed with Rosie laying in his arms and her head on his chest. She was fast asleep as he held her gently. The sound of his phone ringing which was placed beside the bed caught his attention and he let out a frustrated groan and opened his eyes.
Reaching his hand for the phone, he picked it up and gave a glance at the caller ID. He stood up and from the bed, keeping the phone aside, he looked for his pants and shirt to wear before gaming the phone again and walking in out of the room.
He went to a balcony on the second floor of the pack house which was far from his room, he called the number back. The call was answered immediately.
"Beta Raven," Came the words of the other side of the line.
"What is it?" Raven asked. His voice was as grumpy as ever.
"It’s the man you asked us to keep an eye on, he has been released." The other man said and Raven’s fist clenched.
He did not like the fact that the man was left alive. He wouldn’t have let him go if Rosie had not said she just want him to be sent to jail and not killed. "where is he?"
"He is at the house." Reported tue othe man.
"Tell me whatever he does, where he goes, and who he meets." He ordered. After getting a ’Yes beta Raven’ he ended the call.
"What is wrong?" Lazarus asked, walking over to where Raven stood.
"You are awake?" Raven asked, slipping try phone into his pocket. He turned to face Lazarus.
Lazarus gave a nod. "Mhm, Ezra is away and his work has to be done too," Lazarus replied. His eyes wandered around the place before looking at Raven again.
"I am sorry," Raven said to Lazarus, "I should have been there to help you with it."
"Don’t be, you have the right to some free time with your mate," Lazarusa said giving him an understanding look. "Tell me, what is wrong? You didn’t come out here just to say hi to someone on the phone now did you? If your maye finds you like this he might misunderstand."
Raven sighed and nodes his head. "I’d about Rosie," He gave in and spoke. "Her father is out and I think he will try to find her." He said with a frown on his face.
"Do you think he has people following her before now?" Lazarus asked and the frown on Raven’s face deepened. He had not thought about that with the many things that were happening in the pack, that was completely out of his mind. "If he finds out about us, you know the consequences," Lazarus said.
He didn’t have to spell it out for him for Raven to know what he meant. As much as Lazarus was okay with peace between the races, it was better if the humans did not know about the supernatural creatures. Humans can be very unreasonable sometimes and there was no telling how far they would go to do something that they believe is right even if it is wrong and they knew that. Lazarus would not mind killing more than a few humans if it meant keeping his pack and family safe.
"I know, I will sure he doesn’t," Raven said. He went to his mate. What would she do in this situation? If he gathe was to find out about them, then he would have other choice but to... "I will end him myself if he does."
