Chapter 105: 105. Make a pack out of them

Somewhere in the vampire’s territory, Leroy lay on a bed receiving treatment for his wounds. He had escaped by chance and he hated it. He hated that he had to run away from a fight with dogs when he has the upper hand until something unprecedented happened.

He did not know what went wrong but intends to find out no matter what it is. He had to know why it worked on him and not on the shifters. Now he has to bear the repercussions of it even after failing. And the only one whom he could those answers from was the old witch who bailed and abandoned him when things went wrong.

"All done, Captain." The woman attending to him spoke. He looked at his arms which had been bandaged. Hus healing ability had been reduced by the potion he took, it didn’t matter to him before about the consequences because it would have been worth it if he had succeeded in bringing back the mystic wolf and getting his hands and the mate of the Alpha supreme he didn’t care much anoutbtue hybrid but the witch wanted her.

Leroy stood up and walked out of the room in anger. He had taken and turned many rogues into Abominations and even some vampires who had provoked during the process as a way to release his anger and lie they were all gone, just like that.

He met Sebastian on his way out of the infirmary. Sebastian was seen standing with one leg crossed over the other and leaning against a pillar. He had a cigarette between his fingers and smoke puffed out of his mouth.

When saw the Captain approaching, he stood up straight and looked at the vampire. Leroy walked over and stopped where Sebastian stood. They stared at each other with no one speaking to the other.

"What are you doing here, gamma Sebastian?" Leroy asked even though he already knew that he was there to rub in his face that he too had failed. And he had the worse loss compared to any other.

Sebasgian’s expression twitched when he was referred to as Gamma Sebastian. Masking His distaste, he spoke, "I heard you were hurt, I just cake to check up on you and see how you are doing. You know, I can’t imagine life here without you, Captain."

Leroy felt like strangling him to death but that would be a waste. He would send him on a mission that he would never return from. He thought to himself. "I am fine, as you can see. There is no need to worry about your stay here anymore." He said and tapped Sebastian’s shoulder knowing how much it would irk him.

"How did that happen by the way?" Sebastian asked pushing lore buttons on the vampire who gritted his teeth. "I mean how did a man of your caliber get injured so badly?"

Leroy didn’t answer and walked past him but Sebastian was like an annoying fly that followed him and continued pestering him for answers. He has found an opportunity to get back at him for all the torture that he has been put through which where ordered by the vampire because of failing a mission.

Leroy got more infuriated than he already was and stopped, he turned to face Sebastian, "Go and get me a witch, bring one here by any means necessary." he said knowing that they would be in hiding and if anyone of them were found right now, it wouldn’t end well with the person.

Sebastian’s face sank when he heard the order while Leroy had a smug smile inwardly but a serious expression on his face as he ordered him. He looked ahead again and walked away. while Sebastian glared at his back.

After Leroy left, Collins came walking over to where Sebastian stood. "You just want to push your luck don’t you?" Collins asked. He stood next to Sebastian looming in the same direction where the vampire disappeared.

"The mosquitoes in here are too full of themselves, especially him," Sebastian said and he turns around to face Collins. "He wants me to get a witch for him and I think it is a good idea. I think it is time we git ourselves a witch too."

"What do you mean?" Collins asked not liking where the conversation was heading. His eyes squinted as he looked at Sebastian.

"You have always been a smart man, Collins, it was why you were chosen as the beta and I the gamma, I know you understand exactly what I mean," Sebastian said.

Collin nodded and asked, "What sod you want a witch a for, Sebastian, Stage a rebellion against Leroy? Do you even know who lord Dmitri is or what he is capable of? How can you be sure that their loyalty will lie with us?" Collins asked one question after another. "Sebastian, you can get the witch, I won’t oppose, in this mess, we have gotten ourselves into, only the smart ones will survive and we have been doing that all this while, but be careful, Lord Dmitri is someone whom we knew nothing about and has never seen before. The only thing that we know is that is a vampire, an old vampire."

"I know all of that," Sebastian said. "That is why I will try to know who he is. I want to know how and when Leroy meets with him and where. Once that is done, it will be easy to get to him."

Collins looked at him for a while before proposing another idea. "They are many hunters here, male and female alike." He said and Sebastian looks at him waiting for him to continue. He wanted to see where the former beta was going.

"We can easily make a pack out of them rather than let them die and be turned into Abominations. We can have our one pack." Collins said and Sebastian raised an eyebrow.

"What is in this idea of yours that is less dangerous than what I have said?" He asked. "It still requires getting rid of Leroy and smarting the Dmitri and also getting one of those spell-casting notches on our side just like your Alpha, Darren did. We will also have to worry about who is truly trustworthy amongst them after many years as rogues. And under the guidance and command of the vampires."

"True," Collins said, "It is best that you should have a goal in mind before you embark on something as dangerous as what you have proposed," Collins said and Sebastian gave him a nod.

"I am going witch hunting, join me if you like." He said and walked away.
