Chapter 102: 102. Personality contrast
"How is Dana?" Kora asked Darren as they walked through the corridor. A guard was in front of them leading them to the dining room.
"She woke up a few minutes before you did," Darren replied. His hand possessively rested on her waist. "Your friend is here and she found her mate." He informed her."
Kora paused to look at him. "Emily?" She asked and he nodded. " I guess she won’t be on her adventure anymore then," Kora muttered to herself. " Do you know who he is?" she said and started walking again.
Darren nodded, "He is Levi," He told her.
"Your gamma?" She asked not knowing how to react. Did the goddess decide to send Emily with her and grant her wish? Kora thought.
Darren nodded without speaking. They continued. Walking and soon the guard informed them. "We are here, Alpha, and Luna," He said pushing open the door and revealing the people inside.
They sat facing the food that was already placed and served to them but no one ate. They were all waiting on Darren’s arrival. They walked inside and found the seat at the head of the table empty. Even though it was not his pack, the seat at the head was reserved for him as the alpha supreme whom the pack was under.
"Alpha!" The people at the table stood up to greet him. Some of the higher-ranked pack members were present at the table to have dinner with their alpha, they had a look of confusion when they saw Kora standing beside Darren. The girl’s hair and eyes were the colour that they had never seen on a shifter before they almost thought that she dyed her hair and wore contacts but on a closer look, they saw that it was not the case.
Another thing that caught their eyes was the hand of the alpha that was leisurely resting around her waist. They had seen him with a couple of she-wolves in the past but never had he held any of them so possessively as he did her.
"Welcome Luna." Alphas Zeke, Julio, and Damon along with Mateo and Levi greeted Kora, leaving everyone else in shock except for the people from the Blood Moon pack who were still present.
Kora looked at them and gave a very curt nod while looking at the three alphas in the eye one after another.
Everyone else followed their lead and gave their greetings. There was no way the three alphas will be lying especially seeing how Darren held her.
Everyone remained standing as Darren had not taken a seat yet and he did not look like he would be doing that anytime soon. They exchange gazes with each other before they realized what they had done wrong, or probably didn’t do.
Julio immediately gave the orders and an omega walked inside and moved the seats as he stopped when the seat next to Darren was empty and he left after giving a bow.
Darren pulled the chair out and made Kora sit in it before he took his seat. Seeing that he was seated, everyone else followed his lead and sat on their respective seats. "You may proceed," Darren said giving the go-ahead to them all.
From the side where Lazarus was seated with Dana who insisted on coming to have dinner with everyone, they smiled at Kora when their eyes met. They were proud to have raised her and happy that Darren gave her the recognition that she deserved as the Supreme Luna, the mate to the Supreme Alpha. They were both like proud parents right now watching the things in front of them.
Kora’s eyes continued to move around the table and her eyes met with that of Raven and Rosie. Rosie had a beautiful and happy smile on her face when her eyes met with Kora’s while Raven gave a blank face which was nothing new. She could only see how vibrantly the personality contrast between the mates stood out.
She shifted her gaze to her side and her eyes met Mateo and Levi who gave her a slight bow of the head with a small smile. She then looked at Emily who sat next to Levi. She gave a smile to her friend who returned it before looking away as she started blushing, she did not want Kora to see her like that.
Kora then looked at her plate which was already filled with her favourite dishes and cast a glance at Darren. "Thank you." She said in a whisper but she knew that everyone heard her.
Kora and Darren started eating with Darren stealing glances at her now and then. Kora’ a eyes moved to look at Dana who also happened to look at her at that moment. ’How are you doing, Luna?’ Kora asked through the mind link.
’I am doing fine, thanks to you. Lazarus told men of what you did.’ Dana said with a grateful look in her eyes.
’Good to hear that you alright, Luna.’ Kora paus as if she does not want her hear the rest of what was said.
’I think calling me Luna, is inappropriate right now,’ Dana said as she looked at the people who were staying with them. ’You are their Luna now.’ She said with a smile.
Kora moved her gaze from the bowl of soup she was sipping and looked at her. ’That doesn’t stop me from calling you Luna, just like you being Luna didn’t stop me from calling you Dana.’
’If you say so.’ Dana said knowing that Kora will always have something to say no matter what she says.
’Let’s talk when we return to the pack,’ Kora said and Dana nodded her head. If it was up to her, they should have left even at the moment but she thought it was a not right to leave like that especially since alpha Julio was of much help to them.
’We will leave in the morning immediately after the sunrises.’ Dana informed her. ’I have spoken to Lazarus and he has agreed. We were just waiting for you to wake up so we would tell you.’
Kora gave a simple nod as she finished her soup. She caught Darren staring at him from the corner of her eyes which made her smile at him.
