Chapter 2432: Chapter 2432: Little Clementine Scratches Her Head with Her Little Hand

The bracelet was designed by him after returning to Samme Francisco, and he had promised Jasmine Yale to give her child a birth gift.

Jasmine Yale was quite touched, as her father had been very attentive to the promise he made to the baby.

Jasmine placed the bracelet in Little Clementine’s hand, letting her play with it.

It was only then that Little Clementine stopped crying, curiously looking at the bracelet with wide, sparkling eyes.

Although Chris Fern wasn’t very talkative, he loved children, and when Jasmine asked him to hold Little Clementine, he was more than happy to do so.

"Jasmine, it’s too hard for you to be in Cakago alone. Why don’t you come back to Samme Francisco with us?" Luka Xadrian suggested, "The family can look after each other."

Jasmine hesitated for a moment: "I haven’t decided yet, give me some time."

"Alright, no rush."

"Are you busy with work? How have you been lately?" Jasmine asked.

"Your brother is quite busy at the hospital, and as for me, I have a lot of business trips," Luka Xadrian replied, "If your mother knew you had a daughter, she’d be very happy. She always liked daughters. Even though you and your brother were born together, she preferred holding you."

Jasmine smiled: "It was the same later on too, she always took great care of me. When she was around, she never let me suffer. Although times were tough back then, I was happy every day. I was too naive to understand at the time, but later I realized that my mother endured a lot of pain for me."

"I’m sorry for you all..." Luka Xadrian said with remorse.

"It’s all in the past, almost twenty years have gone by. Don’t blame yourself."

"I went back to Willow Wave City on a business trip in October and visited your mother."

Jasmine was surprised: "You’ve been back?"

"Yes, I went back. The last time I saw her, she was still alive, smiling, but now there’s only a lonely grave."

Jasmine’s nose tingled with emotion.

"Let’s not mention it, you’re doing well now, she’d definitely be happy," Luka Xadrian, fearing Jasmine would feel sad, decided not to continue.

Little Clementine’s big eyes shifted back and forth between Jasmine and Luka Xadrian.

With a "thump," she dropped the bracelet on the floor.

Jasmine quickly picked it up, pretending to be angry and tapped her little hand: "Little one, you can’t just throw things around, okay?"

Little Clementine scratched her head with her little hand.

Luka Xadrian was especially pleased: "Little Clementine looks just like you."

"Really," Jasmine kissed her daughter, "She’s my own."

Looking at her daughter’s smiling face, Jasmine felt warmth and happiness in her heart.

This happiness was enough to offset all the suffering in the delivery room; compared to this happiness, the earlier pain seemed insignificant.

Little Clementine was healthy, lively, and adorable, which was Jasmine’s greatest satisfaction.

The little one loved being kissed by Jasmine, and every time Jasmine kissed her, she’d get shy.

When Jasmine felt tired from holding her, she’d give Little Clementine to Chris Fern for a while. Chris Fern was quite good at soothing children, standing by the window with her in his arms, pointing out the scenery outside for her to see.

At first, Little Clementine was shy with strangers, but it wasn’t long before she warmed up to her uncle.

After dinner.

Yukon Carbon called Jasmine.

"Jasmine, when can I come and see your daughter?"

"Look at you, why don’t you come over today?" Jasmine teased.

"Really?"

"Never mind, how’s your recovery going? The weather is cold; you should rest more."

"Give me three minutes." Heavy breathing was heard from the other end as he walked.
