Chapter 2431: Chapter 2431: Playing Peekaboo with Jasmine Yale

Three days later, Jasmine Yale was discharged from the hospital.

Mrs. Connor and Mrs. Kimberley had already gone home, and she and Butler Santana packed up their things and left with the baby.

Butler Santana didn’t have experience taking care of children and was always worried that she might not take good care of Little Clementine, but Jasmine Yale was quite reassured. She always said that Santana was meticulous and would definitely care for Little Clementine well.

The day they were discharged, the weather was not so great; it was gloomy, and though it wasn’t raining, it was very chilly.

Jasmine Yale bundled Little Clementine in thick clothes and wrapped her in a small blanket before feeling at ease.

The little one’s face was half covered.

Watching Jasmine Yale and Butler Santana hurriedly getting everything ready, Little Clementine was quite delighted, playfully causing a fuss, her big eyes darting around.

"Little Devil, why are you so happy today? Is it because we’re going home?" Jasmine Yale watched her making a scene.

Even little girls can be mischievous like this.

Jasmine Yale held Little Clementine while Butler Santana helped with the luggage. They stumbled a bit but managed to get home smoothly.

Though the weather was gloomy, Jasmine Yale was running around, busy but sweating.

The little one in her arms was energetic and wouldn’t sleep the whole way home, leaving Jasmine Yale feeling a bit drowsy.

"Alright, a kiss from mom, Little Clementine, be a good girl and sleep, okay?" Jasmine Yale cooed and cradled her.

Little Clementine didn’t comply at all, her big eyes looking at Jasmine Yale, occasionally hiding under the blanket to play peek-a-boo with her.

Jasmine Yale had no choice but to play along.

Fortunately, the house was not far from the hospital, just twenty minutes by car.

She felt relieved upon arriving home.

She put Little Clementine into the baby crib and helped Butler Santana tidy up.

Butler Santana was also sweating from all the work.

"Finally home, it’s better here." Jasmine Yale drew back the curtains, feeling at ease.

She was recovering well, and with Butler Santana’s care, she was more mature than before she was pregnant, appearing more composed, truly embodying a mother.

Little Clementine couldn’t sit still for a moment.

Jasmine Yale gave her a bunny to play with, and she grabbed the rabbit’s ears and threw it, then innocently looked at Jasmine Yale.

Jasmine Yale bent down, pretended to be angry, and pinched her little cheek, and she would close her eyes to cry out loud.

Jasmine Yale found it amusing and frustrating at the same time.

In these few days, the little one had grown more lively and familiar with Butler Santana.

The life of a baby is simple: eat, sleep, cry, and then eat again.

Jasmine Yale and Butler Santana were different; they had to do everything—washing clothes, breastfeeding, bathing Little Clementine... Several times, Jasmine Yale was so exhausted she nearly fell asleep at the table.

Despite the fatigue, she felt fulfilled, especially waking up to see Little Clementine’s face, which made her happier.

On the day of discharge, Luka Xadrian and Chris Fern flew from Samme Francisco to Cakago.

Luka Xadrian loved kids and regretted not having the chance to see his two children grow up, which was his greatest regret to date.

When he saw Little Clementine, he happily picked her up.

Unfortunately, Little Clementine did not like it; she was wary of strangers and cried incessantly.

Jasmine Yale coaxed and persuaded, "Little Clementine, be good, don’t cry, this is grandpa, be good, this is grandpa. Grandpa bought you tasty treats and brought you presents, does Little Clementine like it?"

Little Clementine was still not impressed.

Jasmine Yale had to hold her herself.

Luka Xadrian was overjoyed and couldn’t contain his smile as he unpacked the gift: "This is a bracelet I designed myself, for Little Clementine, as a welcome gift."
