Chapter 2411: Chapter 2411: Wishing You a Bright Future
The voice on the other end didn’t hesitate: "Go ahead."
"We broke up, didn’t we?"
Silence from the other end.
Jasmine Yale couldn’t quite understand what his silence meant. She frowned and said lightly, "I need a clear answer, not your silent treatment. We’ve been like this for a month."
She finally told him this before the baby was about to be born.
She knew he wasn’t someone good at expressing himself, always reticent and taciturn.
But no one is inherently bad at expressing themselves; it’s about whether you’re willing to change.
"Yes." The voice on the other end finally responded.
Jasmine closed her eyes slightly, the sunlight casting a shallow shadow on her long eyelashes.
"I understand," she concluded. "So, the amusement park project, you don’t plan to do it either, do you?"
"I said, you don’t need to worry about work matters."
"I won’t ask about it in the future. This is the last time. Last time, you hurt Yukon and drove him away from me. I also said that was the last time I forgave you." Jasmine’s tone was extremely calm.
In the phone, she heard the sound of a lighter.
Sylvan Cheney lit a cigarette but didn’t speak.
"In the future, don’t make promises lightly that you can’t keep. You didn’t take it seriously, but I did. I wish you all the best in your future, a bright and successful path. Goodbye."
Jasmine’s face was very calm, her long eyelashes quivering like butterfly wings.
Just as she was about to hang up, a woman’s voice came from the other end: "Wait."
Jasmine’s fingers trembled slightly.
It was Erin Janus.
Was Erin Janus beside Sylvan Cheney while she was on the call?
Jasmine’s lips moved slightly: "What?"
"Jasmine Yale, stop contacting Evan behind my back. He’s already cut ties with you, so don’t shamelessly cling to him. If you want to seduce other men, I won’t interfere, but let me warn you, don’t go after my man!"
"You don’t need to warn me. If you can’t keep your own man, who can you blame?"
"Do you even feel proud of being the other woman? Since you joined the company, you knew Evan and I were engaged, yet you barged in and forced him away from me. Fine, men can be fickle, and I didn’t bother afterwards. But do you think Erin Janus is easy to bully? You’ve known him for just a few months, and you openly moved into his home. Don’t you have any shame?"
"Engaged? Why don’t you ask him if he ever admitted you’re his fiancée?"
"Evan, tell her in front of me what our relationship is." Erin Janus’s dissatisfied voice sounded.
"Enough!" Sylvan Cheney coldly shouted.
"Jasmine Yale, of all things, why choose to be the other woman? Trying to find a bargain father for your child, looking for a support pillar. Life isn’t that easy! No man is generous enough to be a stepfather willingly. Do you think Evan likes you and your child that much? Ask him if he truly likes it!"
Jasmine tightly pressed her lips, her heart trembling.
At this moment, she couldn’t utter a single word.
Listening to Erin Janus’s accusations, it was as if the scolding wasn’t directed at her.
Her expression was indifferent, like flowing water.
"You’re like a piece of gum stuck to us, and we can’t shake you off. Fine then, we won’t stoop to your level of shamelessness. Since we can’t get rid of you, Evan and I will leave Cakago and live a peaceful life. Jasmine Yale, you go on and find a father for your cheap child!"
