Chapter 2381: Chapter 2381: I Have No Plans to Return to China
About an hour or so.
Jasmine Yale, feeling full, rested her chin in her hand and looked at Sylvan Cheney: "Why don’t you eat more? It’s not good for your health, and you’re overloaded with work. It’s easy to harm your body."
Jasmine noticed he barely ate.
Aren’t you hungry?
"I’m not really hungry, I don’t need to eat much."
"Then later, are we going home or taking a walk on the street? The weather’s cold, not much fun outside. Why don’t we go home!"
"Okay."
"By the way, CEO, my hometown is Landon, it’s a very interesting place. If you have time, would you like to visit it with me?"
"Let’s talk about it after you have the baby."
"Of course, everything has to wait until I have this baby. I can’t even fly now. My baby will be very cute, will you hold him?"
"Yeah."
"That’s good, I was really afraid you wouldn’t like kids." Jasmine smiled, "Shall I tell you about the fun places in Landon?"
"Did you grow up there?"
"Pretty much."
"Then why come to Cakago?"
"To study abroad, just as the University of Cakago was recruiting, I managed to get in."
"Do you plan to stay in Cakago, or are you planning to leave after graduation next year?" Sylvan Cheney asked.
"It’s hard to say, isn’t there a saying, ’Marry a chicken, follow the chicken; marry a dog, follow the dog’? I’m with you now, for major decisions, you can decide."
"It’s not about major or minor decisions, it’s your own matter, so make your own choice."
Jasmine thought his attitude was too serious.
Since moving in together, he seldom spoke to her in such a serious tone.
She had to awkwardly say, "How should I know? If I can’t get a green card, I’ll have to go back. If I go back, will you come with me?"
"I have no plans to return home."
"If you have no plans to go back, why ask me to decide on my own?" Jasmine looked at him aggrieved, "Since you’re not going back, I certainly won’t either, unless you don’t want me."
"I was just asking, no other meaning."
Jasmine laughed, "I know you don’t mean anything by it. If you don’t want to go back, I’ll stay in Cakago with you. As for work... what’s your plan for this year, or the next six months?"
"Nothing special planned, I never liked making so-called plans, whether for work or life."
"Man proposes, but God disposes, but sometimes it’s good to look forward to something, even if it’s not a plan." Jasmine and Sylvan’s views weren’t aligned, maybe that’s the difference between men and women.
"There’s no time for those dreams."
Jasmine: "..."
She found Sylvan rather boring at times.
It’s not that she wanted to be serious about anything, just sometimes hoping he’d say something pleasant to comfort her.
Sylvan picked up his glass of red wine, took a few sips, stood up, and grabbed the coat on the rack: "Let’s go, it’s getting late."
"Are you in a rush to go back and deal with work?" Jasmine looked surprised. It was still early, only eight o’clock.
"Partially for work, and it’s winter, you should head back earlier."
Before Jasmine could react, Sylvan had already taken her coat and helped her put it on, tying her scarf for her.
Under the lights, they stood very close, so close that Sylvan’s warm breath, with the scent of red wine, landed on her face.
