Chapter 2327: Chapter 2327: The Man Standing at the Pinnacle of Landon
The days of living together seem to pass by especially quickly.
Jasmine Yale is indeed being well taken care of by Sylvan Cheney; he wouldn’t even let her be exposed to the sun when going out.
He no longer goes on business trips, and he’s turned down all social engagements, making sure to come back on time every evening to have dinner with her.
Jasmine Yale isn’t overly clingy and trusts him enough.
If he’s a bit late coming back, she doesn’t ask much but instead chats with him about work matters.
After having the child, she’s definitely going back to work.
That day, Sylvan Cheney went to the company as usual, and she went for a walk alone in a nearby park.
The weather was turning chilly, and most of the leaves on the branches had fallen, revealing bare trunks; it all looked bleak and stark.
After playing with the kids in the park for a while, she called Frederick Owen, who was sitting in a secluded spot.
"Miss Yale?"
"Mr. Owen, do you have time? Could you help me with settling my funds and stocks, and find someone to appraise the market value of Landon’s Cheney Mansion? Separate the real estate and liquid assets in the calculation."
"Miss Yale, why are you settling these?" Frederick Owen was quite surprised; he thought Jasmine Yale was calling about Mr. Mcintosh.
"Nothing, just wanted to have an estimate in mind."
"Alright, I’ll calculate it this afternoon, don’t worry."
"I’m not in a hurry, take your time."
"Miss Yale, those assets you mentioned before transferring to the young master’s name, I haven’t processed the paperwork for that yet, now..."
"Settle them first, we can discuss the rest later."
"Okay." Frederick Owen agreed.
A lot of Mr. Cheney’s funds, shares, and real estate had been transferred to Jasmine Yale’s name; he only came to know during recent legal processes.
Sometimes he feels quite amazed that a man who holds power and stands at the pinnacle of Landon’s elite circles could love a woman this much; it’s indeed rare.
It’s not just about money, he even disregards his life.
Jasmine Yale and Frederick Owen also discussed plans for the amusement park.
Frederick Owen shared some opinions from architectural experts and communicated the details with her over the phone.
Jasmine Yale listened attentively, nodding occasionally.
Maybe they were too engrossed, the call with Frederick Owen unintentionally lasted almost an hour.
Realizing she had taken up his time, she quickly said, "Mr. Owen, sorry to take up your time."
"No need to be so polite, Miss Yale. I’m Mr. Mcintosh’s assistant, and he’s Mr. Cheney’s man, so how could it be wasting my time?" Frederick Owen responded warmly, "Feel free to call me if you need anything, don’t worry about bothering me."
"Got it, thank you. Still no word from Mr. Mcintosh?"
"None yet. Recently, his phone has been out of service. I really can’t figure out where Mr. Mcintosh has gone."
"I’ll keep an eye out. I’ll let you know if there’s any news." Jasmine Yale sighed, "Um... Landon’s Cheney Group... is it doing alright?"
Cheney Group belongs to Sylvan Cheney; she can’t bear to call it by any other name.
"The stocks are relatively stable, apart from some industries underperforming, the rest is fine. However, competition in Landon’s business circle is getting increasingly fierce, with many companies in a state of cutthroat competition, and a few are particularly aggressive. Viewing this state of stagnation from another perspective is actually regressive."
Of course, Jasmine Yale understands this situation.
What’s the use of mere stability? Progress within stability is required.
Perhaps she’s just overthinking it.
