Chapter 2316: Chapter 2316: Responding to His Kiss

She knew Jasmine Yale wouldn’t move on so quickly, now it all makes sense to her.

"Miss Yale, don’t worry about anything during this time. Those things aren’t something a pregnant woman should be concerned with. Just let things happen naturally." Butler Santana affectionately held her hand, "Bringing the baby into the world safely is the happiest thing."

Jasmine Yale nodded.

"Miss Yale, many things don’t have to be rushed. Your belly is big now, so make sure you don’t worry, and avoid emotional fluctuations. Take it slow, things will get better."

"Miss Yale, don’t give up on Mr. Cheney. Whether it’s Erin Janus or Erin Warner, you shouldn’t let go of him. Don’t push him toward other women. Mr. Cheney has always liked you, and he still likes you now. It’s a blessing."

"I’ll strive for it."

"Alright, Miss Yale, let’s go to the living room, Mr. Cheney has been waiting for a long time." Butler Santana said, "You can tell me anything, no matter how big. Don’t carry everything alone."

"I’m fine, though there were some emotional disagreements with him recently, I’ve since managed it."

"Where’s Mr. Mcintosh? Why haven’t I seen him?"

"I don’t know where he went; he hasn’t returned my calls yet."

"A pregnant woman should avoid worrying about too many things. Relax and keep a cheerful mood."

"I know." Jasmine Yale found the pastries she made this morning from the kitchen, "I’ll take them to him to try. Butler Santana, please make some dishes he likes. We’ll have dinner here tonight."

"Alright, alright, that’s wonderful." Butler Santana was so delighted, practically dancing with joy.

It was indeed too joyous.

What could be happier than a reunion after a long separation?

When Jasmine Yale came out with the tray, she saw Sylvan Cheney flipping through her work notes.

"Don’t go through those, there are personal things." She put down the tray and sat beside him.

Sylvan Cheney looked up and playfully ruffled her hair: "Didn’t see privacy, just found plenty of mistakes."

"Are you deliberately embarrassing me?"

"Exactly what were you talking about with your aunt for so long? Talking bad about me? Or does your aunt disapprove of me?" He whispered, leaning closer to her, his warm breath falling on her neck.

Jasmine Yale felt the tingling from him and relaxed against his embrace: "Who’s talking bad about you? Can’t you ever look on the bright side? My aunt is very satisfied with you and wants you to marry me soon."

"Oh?" Sylvan Cheney was taken aback, looking surprised.

"Just kidding." Jasmine Yale casually fed him a mini cookie, "Anyway, my aunt is indeed satisfied with you, but of course, it’s because I’ve been speaking well of you. So, you owe me a thank you."

"Then... indeed, I should thank you properly."

As he spoke, Sylvan Cheney cupped her head and pressed his lips down.

He kissed her.

Jasmine Yale couldn’t escape and yielded to his kiss.

For a while, the two kissed so passionately they seemed to forget themselves.

The atmosphere in the living room grew intense and ambiguous.

When passion reached its peak, Jasmine Yale wrapped her arms around his neck and responded to his kiss.

Perhaps due to their growing rapport, Sylvan Cheney’s kissing skills became especially adept.

"Ahem." Butler Santana emerged awkwardly from the kitchen, turning away.

Jasmine Yale quickly pushed Sylvan Cheney away.

Her face turned crimson.

She sat up straight, smoothing her tousled hair.

Sylvan Cheney, however, seemed unfazed, squinting at her with a smile.

"Butler Santana, come over and chat." Jasmine Yale invited warmly.
