Chapter 2297: Chapter 2297: Come Home with Me, Jasmine

"Where’s the sound of a crying child?" Jasmine Yale looked around. Other than a few couples, there were no children at all, let alone the sound of crying.

On the other end, a gentle laugh: "Seems it’s not at the hospital."

Jasmine realized she had been tricked: "Sylvan Cheney!"

"Let me guess where you are." Sylvan stood at the window, eyebrows relaxed, showing a pleasingly gentle face, his mood seemingly exceptional, "Park? Residential area? Maternity store?"

"Stop guessing, you think you’re so clever."

"It’s not thinking, I am naturally clever."

"..." Jasmine rolled her eyes, "Then take your time guessing." 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝙚𝙬𝓮𝙗𝒏𝙤𝒗𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝒐𝓶

After speaking, she hung up the phone.

She still had a lot of things to buy.

She planned to buy some groceries to bring home, so Butler Santana wouldn’t need to come out again.

She patiently pushed the cart, carefully searching the shelves for what she wanted.

Before long, the cart was piled high with things.

She looked down, quietly watching the road beneath her feet, patiently and carefully browsing.

Until she had bought everything she needed, she slowly walked to the checkout.

The cashier smiled as she totaled up the bill: "Ma’am, that will be 34 US Dollars."

"Okay." Jasmine lowered her head to search her wallet.

Just as she found her bank card, a long, attractive hand reached over, offering its own card, the voice low and resonant: "Use mine."

"You..." Jasmine looked up shocked, a flash of surprise in her eyes as she saw Sylvan Cheney in a black long coat, "What are you doing here?"

Sylvan looked well, at least much better than when she had seen him many days ago.

The cashier smiled at Sylvan and took his bank card.

Jasmine quickly stopped them, handing over her card instead: "Use mine."

The cashier hesitated, then chose Jasmine’s card.

Jasmine returned Sylvan’s bank card, placing it back in his coat pocket: "I’m buying my own stuff, don’t need your money."

Sylvan looked down, staring at her, eyes deep.

Jasmine moved her lips, feeling uneasy under his gaze, what she wanted to say got swallowed down.

The cashier quickly swiped the card and returned it to Jasmine.

Jasmine pushed her cart outside, Sylvan steadfastly at her side.

To outsiders, they seemed like a couple newly married.

"What did you buy?" He asked offhandedly.

"Not much, just some daily necessities and snacks."

"The snacks I bought last time, you haven’t finished them yet. When will you come to my apartment to eat them?"

"Why don’t you eat them yourself?"

"..." Sylvan glanced at her, "I’m not a girl, I don’t like snacks."

"Then what should we do, just let them go to waste?"

"Waste is shameful." Sylvan said earnestly, "You should eat them."

"I won’t."

As they reached the door, Sylvan took the bags from the cart and carried them for her: "Come on, go home with me and eat snacks."

"You’re cheating! I want to go to my own home."

"Not allowed." Sylvan took her things and tossed them into his trunk, casually opened the passenger door, "Come home with me, Jasmine."

He stood by the car door, looking at Jasmine a few steps away.

"We have no relationship now; I’m not going home with you. Don’t forget, we already broke up."

Perhaps because Jasmine’s tone wasn’t particularly intense, even carrying a bit of tenderness and helplessness, Sylvan smiled: "Then I can wait."
