Chapter 171: Written Exam Over

Ring!

The final bell rang throughout the academy.

Students immediately began leaving their classrooms as instructors collected the exam papers.

Today was the final day of the written examinations. Noah personally thought they had gone rather well.

Mana Theory.

Spell Casting.

Monster Ecology.

Basic Alchemy Fundamentals.

Tactics & Strategy.

Dungeon Studies.

Wilderness Survival.

Seven subjects.

An entire week of exams. Even Sunday hadn’t been spared. Thankfully, Noah had received help from smart person like Arisha.

Because of that, he felt confident about his results. After handing his paper to the supervising instructor, Noah left the classroom.

Stretching his arms, he smiled.

"Finally."

A relieved sigh escaped him.

"It’s over."

As he stepped outside, he immediately spotted two familiar figures. They were Lyria and Arisha. They were standing together near the corridor.

Noah waved. "Hello, girls~"

Both turned toward him. Arisha nodded calmly.

"Hello, Noah." Lyria smiled softly. "Hey, Noah." Her eyes studied him.

"You look happy." A small laugh escaped her. "Was the exam that easy for you?"

Noah grinned. "Yes."

He nodded. "It was much better than I expected."

Then he pointed toward Arisha. "And it’s all because of Arisha."

A grateful smile appeared on his face. "She really helped me."

Lyria nodded."Yes, I know."

Then she looked at him. "Honestly, I would have helped you too if you had asked."

Hearing that made Noah smile. "Oh my."

He placed a hand over his chest. "I am so lucky to have such a kind and caring friend."

Then he smiled brightly. "Next time I’ll ask you to teach me—Owch!"

Noah suddenly rubbed the side of his arm.

Arisha stood beside him with a disapproving expression. She had just pinched him.

Noah looked offended. "Hey." He frowned. "Why did you do that? I didn’t even say anything about you."

Arisha crossed her arms. "Hah."

She raised an eyebrow. "For real?" Her eyes narrowed. "I helped you so much."

She pointed at him. "And now you’re talking about asking someone else?"

Noah shrugged. "So what?"

A teasing grin appeared on his face. "Lyria is much gentler and sweeter."

"This bastard." Arisha muttered.

Beside them, a faint blush appeared on Lyria’s cheeks after hearing compliments from Noah.

Then Noah added, "Besides, you aren’t teaching me for free."

His eyes narrowed suspiciously. "You said you’d ask for something in return."

Arisha blinked."Oh."

She genuinely seemed to have forgotten. "Right."

Then a slow smirk appeared on her face. "Good thing you reminded me."

"Tch!"

Noah clicked his tongue. Immediately regretting his words.

"What are you going to ask, Arisha?"

Lyria asked curiously.

Arisha thought for a moment. Then her eyes narrowed. "Tell me, Noah."

A suspicious expression appeared on her face. "You’re hiding something from us."

Noah frowned. "Hiding something?" He looked completely innocent. "Me?"

He shook his head. "I’m not hiding anything."

His acting skills remained flawless. Nobody could tell whether he was speaking the truth or lying.

Arisha wasn’t convinced. "Hmm."

Her eyes narrowed further. "I’ve noticed that you’ve been avoiding eating with us in the cafeteria."

Noah’s smile almost twitched.

’The hell? I only did that a few times. Most of the time I just bought food elsewhere. She’s dangerous.’

He maintained his honest expression. This much of a pressure won’t let his mask of honesty slip away.

"Hey."

He raised both hands. "I only did that a few times."

"Yes."

Arisha nodded. "A few times." Then she stared directly into his eyes. "But you did. Why did you do that?"

Noah calmly met her gaze. His expression never changed. Lyria quietly watched the battle.

Just then some one came. "Hey, guys! What are you doing?"

A familiar voice suddenly interrupted. The voice was something Noah was waiting for. He immediately turned around to see the perosn who came like a savior.

His savior had arrived.

There he was standing leonard. Beside him were Damien, Kaelan, and Emma. The group was as always together.

Noah almost looked emotional.

"Oh, Leo."

He pointed at each of them.

"Kael, Damn And Em.You all arrived at the perfect time. I was waiting for you guys."

Emma frowned.

"What the hell is Em?" She didn’t like what he just call her.

Damien raised an eyebrow.

"And who’s Damn?" Nor did Damien like what Noah just call him.

Leonard shrugged, not bothered by it.

"Well, Leo is fine." His name was good one.

Kaelan nodded. "Kael is fine too."

Noah grinned teasingly. "Anyways."

He pointed toward Arisha and Lyria. "I was just flirting with Arisha and Lyria." A sweet smile appeared on his face. "Nothing much."

"Fuck this bastard."

Leonard immediately cursed. "He’s not even trying to hide it anymore."

Kaelan sighed. "It’s not new."

Damien groaned. "Noah..."

Then Emma pointed at him. "Hey!" Her eyes widened. "You’re doing it again? Why are you flirting with Lyria and Arisha?!"

Out of the four newcomers, only Leonard and Emma gave him the reaction he wanted.

Lyria quickly waved her hands.

"Guys." She laughed softly. "Noah is just joking."

Her smile remained gentle. "Why are you taking him seriously?"

Noah nodded like a smart perosn. Then he turned toward Leonard. "Hah."

A knowing smile appeared on his face. "If you want, I can give you some good tips, Leo."

Leonard froze. "W-Wait."

His eyes widened. "Really?"

"Of course." Noah nodded confidently. "I bet you want romance too." Then he placed a hand on Leonard’s shoulder.

"I can help you."

Leonard looked touched. "Damn! "Noah, you’re the best!"

He pointed at Noah. "Hehe~" 𝘧𝓇ℯ𝑒𝓌𝑒𝑏𝓃𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭.𝒸ℴ𝓂

Noah grinned. "Of course I’m the best." Then he glanced toward Damien. "But not Damn."

Damien frowned. But wisely chose not to respond. Experience had taught him that arguing with Noah rarely ended well.

Meanwhile, Noah could still feel a suspicious gaze from behind. Arisha was still watching him. Still suspicious.

Noah immediately decided to change the topic. "Hey, guys."

He looked around at everyone. "Do any of you have an idea what our practical exam might be?"

His expression became curious. "You know..." A grin appeared. "It’s much more important than the written exams."

[A/N:Hello guys! I said this in my other novel, now time for here You know I had created my kofi account months ago, when I started to write my first novel. But forgot about it. Now that I remember. I thought I should tell you. Well so in short if you want to support me outside of WN you can do it via kofi. I put link in synopsis of my both novels. You know it’s better to get direct money rather than gift since more than half if it goes to app and other things. We get nearly half or might be less. So if you ever wish to gift my novel, it’s better to donate by kofi rather then giving so many coins. Link is also available in my server.

Also coins are acceptable if going to kofi is too hard work. I know since I am lazy myself.

Hehe~ bye bye!
