Chapter 170: New Cute Friend Of Noah
Noah carefully placed the black cat on his bed. The mattress sank slightly beneath her small body.
"There you go."
A gentle smile appeared on his face.
"Rest here, dear."
The cat lazily stretched herself across the soft blanket. Her yellow eyes remained half-open while her black tail swayed slowly from side to side.
Noah walked toward his desk and retrieved some cotton along with a small bowl of clean water. Returning to the bed, he sat beside her.
"Hmm."
His eyes landed on her injured leg.
"I should clean that first."
He took some cotton and started to clean her.
The cat watched him cautiously but made no attempt to run away.
After carefully cleaning the wound, Noah leaned back slightly.
’I wonder if a healing potion would work on animals.’
He thought about it for a moment.
’Well... it should work.’
Reaching into his storage ring, he pulled out a basic healing potion. The glass vial glimmered under the room’s light.
Noah held it in front of the cat.
"Hey."
He tapped the vial lightly. Trying to tell her that he was going to feed her this.
"Open your mouth."
The cat blinked.
"Meow~"
Noah gently brought the opening of the vial toward her mouth. At the same moment, the cat flicked out her small pink tongue.
Noah slowly poured the potion. The cat swallowed it without much resistance.
It was surprising,’This cat is too smart.’
A few moments later, the wound on her leg began to heal visibly.
The torn skin slowly closed. The swelling faded. The injury disappeared entirely.
Noah’s eyes brightened.
"Nice."
A satisfied smile appeared on his face. He gently stroked the top of her head. The cat immediately began purring.
"Meow~"
She seemed to enjoy his petting far more than she had enjoyed the medicine.
"Good."
Noah scratched beneath her chin.
"You’re completely healed now."
The cat lazily closed her eyes. For a moment, Noah simply watched her. Then he noticed something.
Her beautiful black fur wasn’t actually black anymore. It was dusty.
Leaves and dirt were caught in several places.
Noah frowned. He tilted his head.
"You’re dirty."
The cat opened one eye.
Noah smiled. "Let’s go clean you up."
The cat suddenly felt a very bad feeling. Before she could react, Noah lifted her into his arms.
"Come on."
The cat stared up at him suspiciously. She had no idea where this human was taking her.
---
A few minutes later. Inside the bathroom. The cat’s yellow eyes slowly moved downward. Then she saw it.
There was water. A bucket filled with clean water. The realization hit her immediately. Her pupils shrank.
Noah smiled kindly. "Now be a good girl, okay?"
The cat froze.
"I’ll wash you clean."
There was silence. For one brief moment. Then suddenly.
"HISSSSSSS!!"
The cat exploded.
"MEOW! MEOW! MEOW!!"
Her cries echoed throughout the bathroom.
Noah nearly dropped her.
"Hey!"
He quickly tightened his grip. "Calm down!"
The cat absolutely refused. All four paws began flailing wildly. Her tail puffed up.
Her fur stood on end. "MEOW!!"
"There’s nothing dangerous here!" Noah protested.
The cat clearly disagreed. The battle began.
Unfortunately for her... Her opponent was Noah. Someone who had recently fought demon.
Someone who trained daily.Someone physically far stronger than a normal cat.
Noah narrowed his eyes. "Do you really think you can defeat me?"
The cat answered with violence. A tiny paw smacked directly into his face.
Scratch.
"Ouch!"
Noah recoiled. The cat immediately tried to escape. She almost succeeded.
She almost had reach her escape route. Five seconds later she was back in his grasp.
"No."
Noah pointed at her seriously. "You’re taking a bath."
The cat looked horrified. And thus began thirty minutes of war.The bathroom echoed with endless cries.
"MEOW!!"
"No."
"MEOW!!"
"Stop struggling."
"HISSSSS!"
"You’re literally covered in dirt."
The cat fought bravely. She scratched him. She even kicked him. She hissed. She attempted escape multiple times.
None of it worked.
Meanwhile, Noah thoroughly washed every part of her fur and body. By the end of it, she looked utterly defeated.
It almost felt like she was embarrassed every time Noah touched another part of her body while cleaning her.
Unfortunately, she was powerless to stop him. The battle ended with Noah victorious. The cat was not happy about it.
---
Back inside the room.
Noah immediately uncorked a healing potion. Then he drank it. Several scratches decorated his hands and face.
The wounds quickly healed. After finishing the potion, he turned toward the bed.
The cat sat there wrapped in a towel. Her fur was completely wet.
She looked miserable.
Noah couldn’t help laughing. "You are one troublesome cat."
He sat beside her and began drying her carefully. The cat simply accepted her fate. She looked too tired to resist anymore.
As Noah gently rubbed the towel through her fur, a thoughtful expression appeared on his face.
"Hmm. Since you are staying with me..."
He tilted his head. "I should give you a name."
The cat looked at him. "Meow?"
Noah completely ignored the fact that she had not agreed to become his pet. In his mind, that decision had already been made.
"Should I call you Lisa?"
He thought for a moment. "Hmm... that’s a real girl’s name."
Then he nodded. "But you’re cute."
A smile appeared on his face. "And I like the name Lisa."
The cat stared at him unimpressed.
"Or maybe Lalisa?"
Noah continued seriously.
The cat looked even less impressed.
Noah remained determined. He spent several minutes considering names.
Finally, his eyes brightened. "I got it."
He pointed at her like a scholar. "Nancy!"
The cat blinked.
"Yes!"
Noah looked at her with smirk.. "Nancy!"
He gently lifted her paws. "My lovely Nancy!"
"Meow."
The cat’s expression remained utterly unimpressed. Her yellow eyes practically screamed disappointment. Unfortunately for her, she had absolutely no voting rights in this matter.
Her eyelids slowly drooped. She looked exhausted.
Noah immediately noticed.
"Wait."
He poked her lightly.
"Don’t sleep yet."
The cat opened one eye.
"You need to eat first." His voice became gentle.
"Come on." He carefully picked her up. "Let’s go to the cafeteria."
A grin appeared on his face. "There’s lots of food there."
The cat was lifted into his arms. "And you’ll enjoy it."
As Noah walked toward the door, a mischievous thought appeared in his mind.’I should keep her hidden from Arisha for a while.’
A smile spread across his face. ’Let’s eat alone today.’
Today, Noah had gained a cute cat.
