Chapter 202: Ch-202: Deal

Victor looked at the groaning Rosen, who was lying helplessly on the stage.

Step. Step.

Hearing the sound of footsteps approaching him, Rosen looked up with difficulty and felt his heart tighten when he saw Victor walking toward him.

’No, is this bastard going to hit me again?’ Rosen’s eyes widened in sheer terror as fear gripped him. In his vision, it was not Victor walking toward him but a devil with horns and a tail who liked torturing people. The closer Victor came, the faster his heartbeat became.

Then he saw Victor stop in front of him and extend his hand toward him. He completely panicked and could not help but shout, "Ah... don’t hit me anymore! You can keep the lands! Someone save me!"

Silence.

Instantly, the entire training ground fell silent at his hoarse scream. He sounded like a terrified virgin girl about to be assaulted by a big, ugly man.

"Pfft."

Everyone’s eyes moved toward Amanda, who could not help but snort in laughter, but she quickly suppressed it and put on an expressionless face.

Rosen also realized what he had just said, and his face flushed crimson with shame. He could not help but glare at Victor and stutter, "You bastard, just wait..."

Slap!

Rosen looked blankly at Victor, who had just slapped him across the face and said with a smile, "Shut up."

After that, Victor grabbed Rosen’s hand, took his spatial ring, and started rummaging through it.

"Hey, what the hell do you think you are doing?" Rosen could not help but ask when he saw Victor take his spatial ring.

"What else? I am looking for the Epic-rank item you bet." Victor said, and Rosen, hearing this, had his eyes bulge at the sheer audacity.

He felt like he was going to go mad with anger. Not only had this bastard beaten him up and humiliated him in public, but he also had the nerve to rob him.

"You really are poor." Victor looked at Rosen with disdain.

Hearing his words, Rosen coughed up a mouthful of blood in anger.

"Found it!" Victor said as his eyes gleamed. Then he looked at Rina and said, "Rina, come here for a second."

"Huh?" Rina, who had been watching Victor’s actions, was surprised when he called her.

She had a look of confusion but still obediently walked toward him.

"Here, this is for you." Victor said as he handed her a gleaming red suit of armor. "Consider this my betrothal gift. It is an Epic-rank armor."

"Huh?" Not only Rina, but everyone else who heard this had their lips twitch. Then they looked at Rosen, whose face turned purple with rage.

"You..." Rosen pointed a trembling finger toward him, but the next second he saw Victor’s fist coming straight toward his face.

Bang!

"Hey, take your boss away. He was buzzing like a mosquito and wouldn’t shut up," Victor said as he looked at Rosen’s attendants, who were frozen in fear after seeing their commander’s state.

"Y-Yes!" one of them stammered and hurriedly ran toward Rosen and carried him away under everyone’s gaze.

"Go on, try it," Victor said to Rina with a smile.

"Sure." Rina said as she put on the armor, and the details appeared on her retina.

[Item: Crimson Sun Armor]

[Rank: Epic]

[Description: The armor increases the attack power of heat- and light-based skills by 25% and provides resistance against elemental-based attacks.]

"Woah, this is tailor-made for me!" Rina gasped. She had a Light Bloodline, which made it perfect for her.

"Hah, you didn’t give me any gift, Master." Amber pouted and whispered as she stood beside Victor.

"Hah, who was the one who tried to make me her slave?" Victor said with a snort, and Amber blushed in embarrassment as she thought about her actions.

While Amber, Victor, and Rina were chatting among themselves, Amanda walked toward Hilbert, who was looking at Rina with a heartbroken expression. His precious daughter had been completely snatched away by a scoundrel, and he could only watch helplessly.

"I have to congratulate you, Duke Hilbert, for gaining such a powerful subordinate in the form of a son-in-law," Amanda said with a smile as she approached Hilbert.

"Hmm, I think you have a misunderstanding," Hilbert said as he calmly looked at Amanda.

"A misunderstanding?" Amanda asked with a frown. In Amanda’s eyes, the reason he had betrothed Rina to Victor was to gain his support and army and secure his aid in forming the Hall Kingdom. Even though she was reluctant to admit it, he had a very good chance of transforming his Duchy into a Kingdom with Victor’s help.

"Yes, he is not going to be my subordinate. Instead, the Hall Duchy will become his vassal," Hilbert said, and Amanda’s eyes widened in disbelief. Bianca, who stood silently beside Amanda, also had her eyes widen.

"You don’t mean..." Amanda swallowed hard and asked.

"Indeed, I am going to help him build his Kingdom," Hilbert said.

’Heavens, from a Barony to a Kingdom... this sounds like a fairy tale.’ Bianca cried inwardly as she looked at Hilbert in disbelief.

"I see you have some doubts, but his army is already as large as that of most nobles, and I have seen the Mechs in action. Those are terrifying weapons of war," Hilbert said. He paused before continuing, "And you didn’t see him fight. He killed a peak Tier 4 single-handedly."

"Impossible! He is just Tier 1!" Amanda immediately retorted.

"Do you think that if he were not strong, I would have allowed him to marry my daughter or submitted to him?" Hilbert asked.

"..." Amanda remained silent.

Hilbert shook his head and walked away from them.

"Miss Amanda, I don’t think we would have much luck with this. You know how arrogant Dukes are," Bianca said. Then, with some hesitation, she opened her mouth again. "Miss, what do you think of marrying Lord Victor?"

Snap!

Amanda’s head immediately snapped toward Bianca, and she asked in a low voice, "What are you saying, Bianca?"

"I am just saying, if you marry him, not only will you get a powerful husband backed by a large army, but doesn’t he also meet all your requirements?" Bianca said, and Amanda fell silent.

"I suppose..." Amanda said as she started thinking about the feasibility.

"Baron Victor, the way you beat him up, I have completely become your fan," Maria said with a seductive smile as she grabbed his arm, pressing her large breasts against it.

"Have some boundaries," Rina said as she pried Maria off Victor’s arm.

"Tsk, stingy. But Lord Victor, if you ever need some entertainment, I will always welcome you into my bed," Maria said with a wink.

Amber’s face darkened. She could accept him having other women, but not a lowly slut who knew how many men she had slept with.

Step. Step.

Victor turned his head and saw Hilbert followed by Amanda and Bianca.

"I did not expect you to be this physically strong," Hilbert said as he looked at Victor.

"Lord Victor, I would like to form an alliance with you," Amanda said.

Victor’s head snapped toward Amanda upon hearing her words.

"Oh?" Victor said with a raised eyebrow.

"An alliance is usually not cheap. What do you have to offer in exchange?" Amber, standing beside Victor, asked as she looked at Amanda.

"I would like to borrow your army and buy some of the Mechs. In return, I am willing to offer you access to a private dungeon," Amanda said, and everyone looked at her in surprise.

"Oh, a dungeon, you say? You have my attention. What’s so special about it?" Victor asked curiously. If it was just an ordinary dungeon with ordinary resources, he would refuse.

Seeing this, Amanda smiled and tossed him a scroll. Victor caught it, and the next moment his expression changed when he saw the list of drops in the dungeon.

"This... Mana Elemental Stones, and there are Earth Mana Stones!" Victor exclaimed.

"What? Mana Elemental Stones?" Even Hilbert was shocked.

Mana Elemental Stones were even rarer than normal Mana Stones, as they could be used to improve elemental-based skills because they contained a large amount of elemental mana.

"I can finally create the Warlock Altar," Victor mumbled in a low voice.

The reason he was so ecstatic was that he had previously obtained the Warlock Altar Scroll but could not summon it due to the lack of Earth Elemental Mana. He had gathered some over time through various resources, but it was far from enough. Now he had found the solution.

"I accept. I will aid you," Victor said, and a smile bloomed on Amanda’s face.

"Good," Amanda said with satisfaction.

"I am taking my army to the Brightflame Duchy to set up a portal connecting it to Silver City. Would you like to join me?" Victor invited.

"Sure," Amanda said with a shrug, as she was curious about his territory. The others also looked at each other and followed them.
