Chapter 59: Michael Suddenly Goes Crazy
Does who comes first or who comes later really matter to Raphael? He can do both at the same time, no problem. But as usual, whoever speaks first goes first.
As soon as Michael finished speaking, both of them just stared at him. The corner of his mouth twitched a bit but he finally nodded.
"I don’t know if there’s any problem or not because this is the first time I’ve transformed. If anything dangerous happens, step back a bit, okay?"
He wasn’t showing off, nor was he talking nonsense. He had a feeling that when he turned into a form like Cook God, something he couldn’t control would happen.
"Pfft ha ha ha... Are you trying to make me die laughing? Right now even though you’ve awakened and can use energy, you’re still level zero. With that power, do you really think you can hurt me?"
Raphael felt this was one of the funniest things he’d ever heard. A mere level zero dreaming of injuring a demigod? Even a level eighty wouldn’t dare talk that arrogantly if they were alone.
"Even if your level is the same as you, my strength and martial arts are more than enough to fight you even if you go crazy."
Leo was completely confident about this. He could now use that special energy, not a lot, but enough to use the techniques he learned in his previous life. Don’t mention one Michael, even ten Michaels right now couldn’t do anything to him.
"Hmph, you two, don’t underestimate me! I warned you already. If something happens, I’m not taking responsibility."
Michael snorted but didn’t say he was stronger than the two of them. The truth was he knew zero points about combat.
The movies he watched were just for fun. It didn’t mean he could actually fight like that.
He focused his mind, following the instructions from the recently added memories. From above his head, a bright point like a star flew out, and behind his head appeared a pale red circle with symbols representing each special level.
The circle that opened behind him looked just like when demigods fought seriously. But the difference was that demigods had nine flames filling nine positions, while Michael had nothing at all.
The star-like bright point that had just flown out of his head suddenly released light covering Michael’s entire body.
His body, in a state like light, quickly grew to two meters tall. From his original two arms, four more arms grew out. His body swelled up gradually, revealing muscular lines.
The light faded, revealing a transformed form no different from a miniature version of Cook God. Even his genie clothes disappeared, replaced by white pants just like the ones Cook God used to wear.
Raphael watched every detail closely, and when he saw Michael’s eyes, he immediately frowned. He was sure he wasn’t mistaken. This was definitely killing intent.
"Step back!"
He immediately told Leo to step back to ensure safety but didn’t expect that Leo’s ability to detect killing intent was no less than his, so he had already moved before he spoke.
"What’s going on? Suddenly wanting to kill people, what’s up with that?"
Leo frowned and stared suspiciously at Michael. Now Michael’s eyes were bloodshot and a bit crazed, as if he wanted to kill whatever he saw.
Moreover, looking more closely, Michael didn’t seem very conscious. That look, to compare, was a bit like a mad dog.
"How would I know? I don’t have a god-tier talent. But the current situation looks like Michael is being influenced by a god, and it’s the negative kind of influence. If he does something stupid later, I’ll knock him awake."
Even though Michael was influenced by a god, Raphael wasn’t the least bit hesitant. He could see that Michael’s energy fluctuations weren’t stronger than Leo’s. It’s just that Michael currently seemed like he’d gone crazy.
Suddenly Michael pounced at Raphael like a bloodthirsty beast with nothing left in his mind but the intent to kill.
His movements were obviously very clumsy, looking a bit dumb, but the decisiveness was extremely high.
"Huh? Does going crazy make you dumb?"
Raphael’s eyelids twitched a few times. From within Michael’s eyes, full of killing intent, he immediately realized Michael saw him as weaker than Leo.
Even though he now looked like just skin and bones, compared to the chubby Leo, who looked much stronger. But he was still a demigod.
His physical strength only dropped a tiny bit. A casual swing of his arm could still deliver several thousand pounds of force.
You could say Michael didn’t remember anything right now. He was purely using instinct to judge appearances and make decisions.
But that was also a bit off. Would a god go after the weak and fear the strong? Maybe it was Cook God’s influence mixed with a bit of Michael’s own lazy nature that created this effect.
"What do we do now?"
Leo stepped back and asked. He wasn’t afraid of losing to Michael, but who knew what crazy stuff he’d do, so backing off first was better.
"Obviously, beat him awake."
Raphael didn’t overthink it and directly slapped Michael across the face. The slap was so loud Leo even felt sorry for Michael.
Michael was knocked to the ground by this slap, unconscious on the spot from severe brain shock. His jaw was also dislocated by Raphael’s hit.
Even though his face was already a bit scary, looking at his current crooked, lopsided mouth somehow made people find it a little funny.
"That’s clearly being beaten unconscious, not awake. And is he gonna die or what?"
Leo’s eyelids twitched a few times seeing Michael get ’abused’. He felt that later when he transformed, there was a good chance something weird would happen too.
But he thought Eat God wasn’t the aggressive type of god, so it probably wouldn’t be that bad. At least he wouldn’t act as ridiculous as Michael right now... hope so.
