A year later.
Central Continent, Heavenly Region.
A tall mountain over a hundred thousand feet in height towered into the skies, piercing through the clouds, countless smaller mountains floating around its upper layer as it formed a spectacular scene for the eyes of the beholder.
Many cultivators of all levels flew around the mountain, their cultivation varying from the Foundation Establishment Realm to even those of the Nascent Soul Realm as they rode flying artifacts and Spirit Beasts while some just flew on their own.
Occasionally, even Tribulation Transcendence Realm cultivators could be seen flying around, which widened the eyes of the cultivators who had come here for the first time but was a normal thing for those who had been here multiple times already.
The moment one stepped foot within a range of a hundred thousand miles of this grand mountain, it would seem as if they had entered a sort of Immortal paradise described in the ancient myths where the highest of deities would reside.
The exact height of the grand mountain which stretched out to tens of thousands of miles on the ground was unknown, but it wasn’t difficult for one to assume that it reached all the way up to the heavens.
Around the greatest mountain with the unknown height, there were 9 summits surrounding it with an exact height of a hundred thousand feet.
"So this is it...it’s majestic..even more so than I thought despite having read the novel."
Jiang Ruyin stepped forward on the air as she murmured, mesmerized by the scene in front of her eyes.
"These are the Nine Summits of Kunlun Divine Mountain, what else did you expect from such a major power with origins reaching the Divine Realm?"
Another voice came from behind her as a young man with an extremely handsome face appeared besides her, his looks identical to Jiang Ruyin’s but with an air of maturity that she couldn’t compare with.
"This is my first time here. How else am I not supposed to look like a country bumping here?"
Jiang Ruyin retorted as she turned her head away, a small pout forming on her lips.
"Alright, alright. Just because you’re the youngest doesn’t mean you can continue acting like this, get it?"
The young man said, raising his hands in defeat.
Jiang Ruyin huffed as she side-eyed the young man, her thoughts drifting elsewhere.
The second male lead and my brother, Jiang Chengxuan, is indeed almost the same as what was described in the novel. I wonder if Wang Daoyun, the true male lead, is like that as well?
The person before her was none other than the God of War, Jiang Chengxuan. He was the crown prince of the Great Jiang Immortal Dynasty and her oldest brother, subsequently being the second male lead of the novel "Intricacies of Fate".
In the novel, he was described as having a gentle, mature temperament, befitting the heir to a major faction in the Immortal Cultivation World and the future Emperor of the greatest Immortal Dynasty in the world.
However, his fate as the second male lead is definitely not good, as he is going to get sealed away by a powerful demonic entity before the female lead, Yan Jingfei, could even reach the Tribulation Transcendence Realm.
Although I don’t know what would have happened to him after that since I got transported here while waiting for updates, him being the second male lead is enough to know that his end was probably not well.
As she thought of this, she looked at the towering mountains before her and had a sudden realization.
..So this is the true mysticism of the Immortal Cultivation World. The modern era’s cultivation world could never compare to this.
She had just reached the Void Refinement Realm some time ago when she heard the news that her eldest brother, Jiang Chengxuan, had come out of his long seclusion and successfully broken through to the Immortal Ascension Realm.
Right after that, all the siblings were called to see their father, the current Emperor of the Great Jiang Immortal Dynasty and also an existence who was considered to be at the peak of Immortal Ascension Realm.
However, that was only what the lower level beings of the cultivation world thought.
In reality, the Emperor was already a Human Immortal!
The Great Jiang Immortal Dynasty, or any other faction, could never become one of the major powers if they did not possess at least a living Human Immortal or the legacy of a Human Immortal, no matter how many great cultivators of the Immortal Ascension Realm they had!
To the Human Immortals, an Immortal Ascension Realm was like a mortal compared to a Qi Condensation Realm cultivator!
An ant compared to an elephant!
It was not just the current Emperor, but all the past rulers of the Great Jiang Immortal Dynasty were Human Immortal level figure!
This was why the Immortal Dynasty had been able to hold its ground for countless generations in the Second Great Mortal World. Otherwise, it would’ve long been wiped out by the combined forces of multiple other First Rate factions who also possessed Immortal Ascension Realm figures, not to mention the greedy Immortal Families of the Heavenly Region.
As for the reason why the Emperor and their father summoned the siblings, it was because of a conference being held at Kunlun Divine Mountain where all the factions of the righteous path from every Continent were invited.
No matter if they were third rate factions or major factions, every single one of them was sent a invite, though it was just 6 months ago so most of them had yet to arrive while some had not even recieved the news yet.
This was a large scale movement from Kunlun Divine Mountain, specifically the first one in millions of years which required all of the righteous path to gather together, causing all of the factions to take it seriously.
Kunlun’s reputation was widely spread and it was considered the most respectable, the strongest in the world. There was no way someone would deny their request, as most of the times it would concern the safety of the righteous path or the entire world as a whole.
It was not just because of that, but also because of the increased tension between the factions of the righteous path because of the fact that the recent Prodigy Convention at the Eastern Continent which turned into an all out war with the demonic path.

The Demon Race’s collaboration with the demonic path was revealed to the outside world, while some of the demonic path and the Demon Race’s experts making an alliance with the righteous path due to unknown reasons was also a hot topic of discussion, although it was only known by the high ranking members of the righteous path.
As such, with the entire world in a state of chaos right now, Kunlun suddenly holding a grand conference wasn’t something anybody could ignore. It wasn’t even done discreetly, meaning Kunlun wasn’t afraid of neither the demonic path nor the Demon Race.
This was why Jiang Ruyin, Jiang Chengxuan, and others of the righteous path were all rushing towards the Kunlun Divine Mountain right now.
As Jiang Ruyin and Jiang Chengxuan were about to advance forward, the loud hum of a flying ship came from behind them as the siblings turned around, only to see a massive flying ship floating right behind them, with a tall, majestic figure of a man standing at its front, wearing a golden crown embroidered with exquisite patterns made of heavenly treasures and earthly materials.
The man had long black hair and a beard, an oppressive air around him as he carried himself with a sense of grandeur. One could tell at a glance that this wasn’t a simple man.
There was no mistake about it. This was the Emperor of the Great Jiang Immortal Dynasty, known for his supreme strategies in battle and a calm mind which could remain indifferent even in the face of countless foes.
Known far and wide as the Great Spirit Emperor, he was the father of the royal siblings while also being one of the most recognized figures in the cultivation world and the ruler of a major faction, the largest Immortal Dynasty in the world.
Seeing the Great Spirit Emperor, both Jiang Ruyin and Jiang Chengxuan instantly flew towards him and bowed with great respect, cupping their fists as they called out in unison.
"I have seen father."
At their words, the Great Spirit Emperor just nodded his head slightly as he stroked his beard, his eyes fixated on the grand Kunlun mountains for a moment before he looked down at the siblings.
Immediately, a wave of invisible Spiritual Energy lifted them up, dropping them on the flying ship as the Great Spirit Emperor finally spoke in a deep voice, the expression on his face showing the indifference of an emperor overseeing the mortal world.
"Once we reach the Kunlun Divine Mountain, you must not provoke anyone unnecessarily. There will be great figures of all kind present at the conference. Even as a major faction, it will not be good for us if we make too many enemies, specially in the Immortal Cultivation World where everything is possible."
