Because of the lack of numerous powerful cultivators, just a few Golden Core Realms were enough to cause chaos in the entire Qingyun Region with Kong Junyu at the Void Refinement Realm leading them.

Had Kong Junyu not attacked the Eternal Peak back then, it was possible that the entire region would have fallen to ruin unless the Supreme Elder of Qingyun Sword Sect, Mo Wenxiong, intervened.

At this moment, Tian Yongheng’s clone entered the cave abode and arrived before him as Tian Yongheng handed him the seed of Tree of Life, his other conscious in the clone already knowing what it was about, and quickly went out to plant it a few hundred feet away from the Bodhi Wisdom Tree.

After planting it, the clone once again prepared to preach the Dao as all the listeners were still immersed in comprehension.

Tian Yongheng didn’t want to delay any longer, he wanted the Eternal Peak to have more powerhouses!

At least a thousand Golden Core Realm cultivators before reaching the Half Immortal Realm!

And a hundred Void Refinement Realm cultivators before becoming an Immortal!

He quietly set these goals for himself and the Eternal Peak.

At this moment, just as he was about to enter his cultivation state, a system notification suddenly popped up in front of him.

[The Dao Field has been successfully upgraded.]

Tian Yongheng looked at the line of words before his eyes as a sigh of relief escaped his lips.

It had been quite some time since the Dao Field upgrade started, and he was beginning to be worried that it wouldn’t finish until he was already at the peak of Tribulation Transcendence Realm and had to cross a Lightning Tribulation to enter the Immortal Ascension Realm.

Of course, if that really happened, he would just halt his cultivation and wait for the upgrade to be complete so he could avoid the Lightning Tribulation.

No matter how prepared one was, most cultivators fall while facing the Lightning Tribulation they said!

He would definitely not take such a great risk. He had a lot of lifespan, so he could delay his cultivation and play it safe instead if colliding with the Lightning Tribulation head on.

But now, there was no need for it.

Since the Dao Field had already been upgraded, not only did he not have to face any Lightning Tribulation and could breakthrough to higher realms in peace, he could also remain in the Lower Realm inside of the Dao Field even after becoming an Immortal and not be forced to ascend by the heavenly rules.

Speaking of which, the heavenly rules are really strange. Forced ascension should be something that has been decided by a certain being with intelligence, does that mean the heavenly rules are sentient?

Or is it the conscious of the Immortal Dao? Perhaps the will of the Lower Realm or even the Upper Realm?

Maybe I will be able to figure it out after reaching the Immortal Ascension Realm.

As he thought of this, he closed his eyes and began to cultivate yet again, with the goal of exiting seclusion only after having reached the peak of Tribulation Transcendence Realm.

...

5 years later.

Atop a great mountain peak shrouded in mist with a sense of mysticism, a human figure calmly sat and looked over the entire world, his eyes closed as if he was thinking of something very deeply.

At this moment, a strange, bizarre figure with an unnatural form and slight resemblance to the human body appeared behind him, its body exuding a red, chaotic glow which was completely incomprehensible to normal mortals.

It didn’t do anything but stared at the back of the person sitting before the latter finally turned his head around slightly, revealing a handsome face and looking to be in his late twenties.

The person wore a bright, blue robe with a comforting aura which made it hard for others to associate him with the chaotic red shadow behind him.

"It is time."

The red shadow spoke, it’s voice chilling and not even close to that of a human’s. It had no facial features, which made it even more eerie for anyone else to watch it speak without even having a mouth.

Despite that, the sound still strangely came out of its face where it’s mouth should have been, and did not come from anywhere else nor did it echo in the young looking man’s mind.

Hearing the shadow’s words, a small smile appeared on the man’s face as he opened his mouth to speak, his eyes still closed.

"I see. Is there anything else they have asked you to tell me?"

He asked calmly.

The red shadow shook what seemed to he its head as it began to speak in its unnerving voice again, "No. Just this. The two Demon Lords will be on their way soon. The Demon Race leaders are also about to set off, and they seemed to have a big plan on their minds. You should get on the move as well."

It’s voice was monotone and without any ripples as the red shadow said this.

"What about the Wrathful Asura King and the others?"

The blue robed man asked, finally opening his eyes slowly as a violet glow emanated from them.

"Only the Wrathful Asura King will be present at the moment to hold off the righteous path experts, the rest are all trump cards of ours just in case something goes wrong. The Blade Saint’s stance, however, is still unknown.

As he is a former righteous path cultivator, there’s a chance he might betray us and join Demon Lord Nine Calamities in the midst of battle, so the others haven’t approached him about this matter as much either."

As the red shadow said the last sentence, it subconsciously turned its head towards the blue clad man, seemingly thinking of something.

"What, do you think I’ll betray you guys as well?"

The man said, his smile still present on his face as he fully opened his eyes.

"Of course not. You’re different from the Blade Saint. The Blade Saint has always remained neutral in the affairs of the outside world, the righteous path, the demonic path and the Demon Race. You, on the other hand, have contributed significantly to the demonic path.

Had it not been for you, we wouldn’t have been able to create clones of that existence and hide them for so long under the force of Pristine Waters. Not to mention your terrific cultivation base and insights into the Sword Dao that make you a fearful opponent rivaled by not many in the realm of mortal endeavor."

The red shadow replied as it nodded it’s head, unknown if it was being sincere or not due to its indifferent voice and no facial features.

"Hahahaha, aren’t you praising me too much, Evil Lord? Those feats wouldn’t have been possible without the help of the other great experts of our side."

The violet eyed man said as he slowly stood up, his height around the same as the red shadow’s form.

"There’s no need for such courtesy. We’re not part of the righteous path."

The red shadow, called the Evil Lord by the man, said calmly.

However, the man’s smile faded slightly at this as he spoke again.

"When do we set off?"

"In another 10 years at most. All the preparations will be completed by then. Those foolish geniuses of the righteous path are still out there wasting their breath on the clones. This will be the perfect chance to wipe out every single one of the righteous path once and for all, something which has never been done in countless past eras and cycles."

The Evil Lord replied as it started to turn around before the man’s voice came from behind.

"It will be all fine as long as the Immortal Gods are fine with it, indeed."

The Evil Lord turned around slightly, his face as if he just smirked before disappearing into thin air, leaving behind a single sentence.

"You’re a strange person, Fiendish Sword Supreme."

At his words, the man called the Fiendish Sword Supreme laughed out loud as he turned around and looked in a certain direction, his violet eyes emanating a cold glow and his former warmth nowhere to be seen.

"Strange, truly. My brother said that once as well. That was before I turned my back against the righteous path and became a demonic cultivator."

The sky dimmed slightly as the sound of roaring thunder could be heard across the firmament, with sword shapes made of lightning occasionally appearing in the clouds.

*Rumble!*

A sword shaped lightning strike descended down and sped up towards the man, inches short of falling on his head before he instantly looked up, a terrifying Sword Intent erupting from his violet eyes as he waved his hand upwards towards the incoming lightning bolt.

*Crash!*

The lightning strike was split in half and dissipated into nothingness while the Sword Intent of the man continued going forward, crashing into a mountain over thirty thousand feet tall almost a hundred thousand miles away.

*Boom!*

The next moment, the entire mountain was leveled down by the Sword Intent, leaving behind only remains of what once stood tall in its place.

"I’ve improved a lot, brother...and I can’t wait to let you know the true meaning of power when we collide once again for the last time."

As he said this, the smile returned on the man’s face.

This was none other than the Palace Master of the Scarlet Moon Palace, considered the second strongest Sword Cultivator of the demonic path, a former member of the righteous path, a Human Immortal, and the twin brother of the Blade Saint.

The Fiendish Sword Supreme.
