Chapter 1820: Chapter 1819 - Project Ares
Lind was followed by his pack down a corridor near the central towers. Most of the structures were built to complement the Blessed Crimson Range. Only a few towers remained and only in places that did not deviate from the flow of the later buildings.
Space was plentiful but the sanctuary from the Fiends was not to be trampled upon in Lind’s view.
If anything, the feeling of safety had only increased since they had done it. The ring of powerful beasts outside the ranges also kept human and demon powers far away.
It was a safe place to come, he had ensured that, yet those powers imposed their will on the land and would not align with his aesthetic. There was plenty of room so it was not an issue, plus he had literally saved the world.
It was hard to argue with him after the war.
The towers were very different from other areas. While he had taught his family how to make their own Havens, those were personal spaces for them. The towers were professional space.
Thus, they had been modified heavily not only to contain inverted space and defenses far beyond normal. The things worked on in there were not dangerous but Lind did not want to have them easily leaked.
Some were simply research which any power would protect or high grade work that needed materials they did not want stolen. The current tower, however, was his.
The entrance seemed perfectly normal as wood inlaid with stone. Intricate carvings covered it but they were only a single visible layer. Lind’s eyes flashed emerald and a complex layer of energy appeared.
It spread outward and gently encompassed the trio. Once the energy settled, the world had changed around them. The weavings and formations acted as both security and transit.
If they were intruders, they would have found themselves put into a small space until someone came to collect them. Shoti was notorious for making people sweat but aside from that, it was generally harmless.
The trick, of course, was a mark Lind had to place himself. It was a severely narrow security feature, yet it worked for his needs.

It was only for that tower and no other.
The space inside was a small world. It made his Emerald Haven look like a tiny room yet it was not the best use of spatial manipulation. Havens, as he had changed them, could be moved with the creator.
The trade off was when the owner was inside it, it could not be fully hidden.
The tower space, however, never moved so he could expand it massively as it never had to be kept stable during movement. The issue was it required constant Divine Qi stones, crystals, and awesome serious support from formations or weavings to maintain.
Compared to a Haven that was self-sustaining on its own, it was a serious drain on their resources just to exist!
Thankfully, the massive drain would soon come to an end.
"Pack leader, what is that?" Ryl was looking goggle eyed at the massive metal and stone objects in sight. They dwarfed his largest ship and there were many of them in the space carved out inside the tower.
There were many figures at work as well on a multilevel framework around the massive objects.
Lind smiled and patted his head.
"It is what I have come for." Pelia remained silent but he could tell she was just as impressed. The reason being was both of them could feel a powerful aura floating around the pieces.
There were so many beyond the range of their aura left them gobsmacked.
Lind proceeded forward before a flicker of light far above drew the trio’s attention. He smiled as a massive sinuous dragon appeared and quickly became a human man with bright orange hair.
"You have done well, Kilras." The man shook with joy.
"Ancestor! Your profound plans guided us! We are still far from completion but within the next millennium we should be ready to complete Project Ares!" Lind nodded as that matched with his projections.
Pushing refining and Forging to Mystery Grade was impossible no matter what plans he left behind. Instead, he would push everything to the limit of Dao Grade as a foundation before crossing the final line himself.
The original plan was also to have Fey be a key member of the final steps and it would have to be public to do so. It was why she was so against it but even she knew how important it was.
The change in himself and his new obligations, however, threw that plan out the window as it would not be compatible with what he needed. He sighed as it would mean he would have to put on a show himself.
"As I said, well done, but I am afraid I must finish it myself." Kilras flinched and began to sweat.
"If there is anything wrong, I will immediately correct it! Please tell me!" His voice thundered and caused the many experts to freeze. Lind sighed internally.
Harmonic Dragons were his race but they worshipped him far too much. It was why he rarely interfered in their actions as a race as he wanted them to live on their own.
There were, of course, experts he found useful. He was careful of how he instructed them but they took his word as gospel.

"There is nothing any of you have done wrong. In fact, I see you have gone beyond my expectations." His words also carried far and many smiles spread. Kilra was soothed but still confused.
"Then, why are you taking over, Ancestor?" Lind quickly transmitted what was going on. The Harmonic Dragon was only an Apprentice Tier but he knew what Lind was telling him!
He roared in joy and those few others of their kind joined him. Lind shook his head but moved on.
A stout woman came forward and bowed respectfully to him.
"Transcendent Maester, have we truly exceeded your expectations?" She had close bound dark hair and swarthy skin due to being exposed to the furnace most of her life. He nodded and approached the nearest object.
He waved his hand across its skin and the aura changed instantly. He did very little but add Mystery energy. It transformed it but the work remained made by others.
Tears formed in her eyes as she knelt before him.
"THANK YOU LIND FREY!" She was human but was far more frank with him as a fellow craftsman. Many joined her as the work had opened many doors for them all. He smiled and waved at them all.
[As promised, you will all be remembered and compensated as we discussed. Now, prepare to finish Project Ares.] His words were like setting a small army of ants loose. There was no chaos, just careful plans executed efficiently.
A massive gate lit up that was about half way up the space. Lind had made it long ago himself but unlike the one in his family palace, it was a simple transfer gate.
It was just not one registered to any network.
It swirled with energy until a bright blue sky appeared. Lind saw all the massive objects had their scaffolding removed at the same time as if it was planned. He nodded and then he lit up with emerald light.
Myriad beams shot out and touched each massive object. As if they weighed nothing, he moved them in perfect sequence through the gate. It took days but finally the space was empty.
[All right, everyone follow me and then watch.] Lind led a group of thousands into the once empty sky. It was not full of massive chunks of metal, wood, stone, and various materials. Nothing seemed like it would fit together but Lind knew that was soon to change.
Once everyone was out, he closed the gate. Ryl and Pelia were safely held by Kilras to the side. He took a breath before his aura shifted. His emerald eyes lit up as his hair and limbs glowed emerald.
The sky shifted from blue to emerald as all the pieces came together. Rather than a puzzle, it was more like raw material for him to Forge, which was not wrong.
Project Ares was all about building the foundation of a massive living artifact. Fey was intended to give it a better chance of being what he intended it to be originally. A place of Life, Death, and Samsara would be the foundation to build upon and expand in the future.
Now, he had to discard it for something else. Fortunately, he could adapt it.
Project Ares was meant to make a place that all could contribute and leave a legacy behind eventually. Rather than an Inheritance, it was more like a place to allow Divine Realm cultivators to be inspired and not have to travel so damn much to learn things.
Fey was to be the beginning as even he paled in comparison to her foundation in the Apprentice Tier Mysteries. Now, he had to make it something else.
Emerald light danced and his Forging began. He summoned very rare ores, crystals, and other resources. They were all consumed in his flames. They fused and began to join into a massive shadow.
He felt resistance at first but he quickly transformed every segment into raw Mystery Grade material. He then thought of what he needed. He needed a place that would help explain his Mysteries.

He needed a place that would allow Divine Realm cultivators to learn without needing him. His dantian shook as his 6 Origin Seeds flared with power.
Origin. He needed the Origin.
His intent caused the skies to ripple. The Heavens responded but in welcome, not in challenge. The massive shadow distended and began to take shape. Six areas took shape but unlike his Seeds, there were no resources.
It was like the very essence of elemental power took shape at the edges of the disc. The resonance then began to focus on the massive core of the area. Lind let it flow as the resistance fell away.
Rings formed naturally and he smiled. He made a macro dantian!
It was not a mirror of his own but a place of all possibilities as Origin flowed through it all!
The core of it, the 9th layer, was empty but it became the entrance.
The Life, Death, Samsara, Heaven, Earth, Qi, Time, and Tapestry rings spread outward.
It spanned over 20,000 square kilometers. Yet, he was not done. His shaking hands moved and his harmony flared. A figure appeared at the heart of it. A Divine Will. The massive floating object settled and Lind nearly collapsed.
The crowd was in awe. They were only Grand Maesters but to see a Transcendent at work was a rare thing. To see a living artifact infused with a Divine Will was not something anyone expected!
A shaft of pure energy shot downward as the disc began to rotate.
[The Heart of Origins now is ready.]
