"Am I right, Prince Laps?" The man shifted his gaze to a man with short, reddish-orange hair who was bathing nearby.

"You’re not wrong, but it won’t be so easy to make use of an Adventurer’s Guild that transcends the rules of this world. We have yet to grasp its own rules," Prince Laps said with a cold laugh, scrubbing himself clean. "To achieve our goals, those Adventurers alone are far from enough, Duke Jito."

"Don’t you worry, my Prince." Duke Jito stood up and walked to the edge of Prince Laps’s tub. He stared at the prince’s neck, practically drooling. "As long as you provide me with your Star Blood, I will win your father’s throne for you."

"But your right-hand man, Count Flas, failed!" Prince Laps shot him a cold glance, his dissatisfaction clear.

"That was an accident. I still don’t know how he died. A man bearing my father’s Blood Blessing should not have been defeated by a group of weak Adventurers," Duke Jito said, his hand stroking Prince Laps’s neck as a greedy smile spread across his face. "But rest assured, it won’t happen again. And don’t you forget what you promised me. Once I help you secure the throne, your sisters’ blood... is all mine!"
