Chapter 257: Easy way to get rich! Rare Armor set with special attribute
[Choose your Domain Reward.]
[You may extract five Armor Sets.]
[1. Red Fog Set]
[2. Muscle Set]
Caelus looked at the options with raised eyebrows.
"Muscle Set and Red Fog?"
If he was not wrong, these sets were tailored after the two prominent beasts in the Misty Wood.
Makes sense.
In the end, he selected the Muscle Set.
Five cards immediately appeared in the air before him.
They were metallic cards covered with glowing lines.
Caelus reached out and grabbed them immediately.
Following that, a prompt appeared.
[Equip?]
"Nah."
He immediately selected No.
He did not want to equip a common armor.
Instead, he opened the item information to inspect it first.
[Muscle Armor set]
[Rarity: Common]
[Type: Mitigation Armor]
[Armor: 20/20]
[Usable Level: 1-15]
[Attribute: None]
Mitigation armor was incredibly simple. Instead of completely absorbing all damage like a shield, it reduced the total amount of damage the wearer received bit by bit.
Caelus smiled seeing this.
"A Common armor set should easily sell for around 25,000 Origin Credits. If this had an attribute, it could’ve sold for 50,000."
He visibly became excited.
One armor alone was worth a fortune to beginners!
The only problem now was finding buyers.
Sylvia smiled brightly seeing this.
She poked his cheek playfully as she spoke. "I hope you won’t spend all of it on just gambling Caelus."
Caelus’s lips twitched at her teasing.
"I won’t... I’ll just spend 1,000 Origin Credits. Not more than that!"
Then, they looked back at the Domain Dungeon. They had already been teleported out.
"Let’s keep going."
They still had four Domain Dungeon attempts remaining.
That’s right, the Domain Dungeon could only be raided 5 times during the time it was open. Hence, the more waves you could complete inside, the better it was.
And the Domain Dungeon did not open every day. The way it opened differed, and in the Misty Wood, it might not open for months.
It could be a different story in the place beyond the Misty Wood though.
Now that they had entered this domain dungeon, they would get a notification whenever they entered it.
The two immediately re-entered the fight.
They did not stop at just wave 5 this time.
Wave 10...
Wave 12...
Wave 15!
They were easily able to clear till wave 15, which was an extraction point. Beyond that was going to be struggle for them, especially due to their low mana gauge.
But that was fine.
15 was already really good.
By the end of all five runs, their inventory was completely packed.
They had accumulated 65 Armor set Cards.
Among them were Common, Uncommon, and Rare equipment.
The Rare armors were the real prizes. They found exactly four of them.
Two of the Rare armors possessed a very special attribute.
[Attribute: Every 5 monster kills restores a portion of MP.]
The other rare one possessed another powerful attribute.
[Attribute: 25% chance to inflict Stun upon attackers when receiving an attack.]
And they were an absorption type with stats of 60/60 armor and were usable till level 15.
Equipment with attributes was significantly rarer than ordinary armor. These pieces were extremely valuable. Caelus stored them carefully.
And now, it was time to return to the marketplace and begin selling these.
After equipping the rare armors, they went to the market.
Several hours had passed. Surprisingly, the market was still crowded with players.
Caelus noticed David Wilson again.
David had just finished selling his own equipment. Judging from the happy expressions on his team, he had earned a considerable amount of money.
People were still actively buying even after Caelus and Sylvia spent roughly three hours grinding inside the dungeon.
Caelus found an empty stall nearby.
He and Sylvia decided to set up their own shop.
David noticed him almost immediately. He walked over with a confident smirk.
"You’re back?" David asked. "I already sold all my weapons. I don’t have anything left for you. Go away, little rabbit."
Caelus slowly looked at him.
He gave David a dumbfounded expression.
"Do you seriously think everything revolves around you?" Caelus asked. "I’m not here for your weapons. No one cares about your weapons, bro."
The surrounding players immediately reacted to his words.
"Who does this guy think he is?" one player frowned.
"He is way too arrogant for a newcomer," another muttered loudly.
"Messing with David Wilson, this guy sure has the balls."
Jennifer stood behind David and crossed her arms.
"He is just asking for unnecessary trouble," Jennifer commented quietly to herself.
Many knew not to mess with David.
Ryan sneered hearing her.
"He doesn’t know his place," Ryan said. "David has far more influence here than someone like him. He should learn when to keep his head down."
Caelus ignored them completely.
Without another word, he began placing Armor Cards onto the wooden table.
One.... Five.... Ten.... Twenty.... Thirty.
They kept coming.
Sixty-five Armor Cards covered the entire stall.
Among them were Common, Uncommon, and even Rare armor.
The marketplace instantly fell silent.
"Wait... are those..." a player gasped.
"Holy Potatoes! Sixty-five armor pieces?!"
"Are those Rare grade?!"
David’s expression gradually stiffened. His face slowly paled as he stared at the mountain of cards.
The same people who mocked Caelus moments earlier immediately rushed toward the stall, their eyes filled with greed and desperation for the armor.
They were the few that didn’t get an armor set yet.
Caelus calmly looked at the specific people who insulted him earlier.
"You won’t be buying from me."
"You can leave and stop blocking the path for my customers," he added with a small smirk forming on his face.
Those words immediately upset several people.
"What did you just say?!" one particularly hot-headed player shouted. He stepped forward with an angry scowl.
"Do you know who I am, kid? You should know better to treat me with respect. Don’t make it difficult and give me one armor."
He immediately reached out to forcefully grab an armor card from the table.
Before anyone could react, Caelus moved.
Crack!
It was just one strike.
But the man’s legs shattered in an instant.
"Ahhhh!"
He directly collapsed to the ground, screaming in agonizing pain.
The entire marketplace instantly became silent.
Nobody dared to cause trouble anymore. Everyone quietly formed a neat line in front of the stall.
They respectfully addressed him before buying it.
Soon, notifications rang continuously in Caelus’s ears as system prompts rapidly came and closed.
[Jennifer purchased Uncommon Muscle Armor.]
[+50,000 Origin Credits.]
[Ryan purchased Common Muscle Armor.]
[+25,000 Origin Credits.]
[Player Ethan purchased Common Muscle Armor.]
[+25,000 Origin Credits.]
[Player Lucas purchased Uncommon Muscle Armor.]
[+50,000 Origin Credits.]
Origin Credits constantly poured into his account.
But, he didn’t sell the two rare armors just yet.
He saved the Rare armor for last.
Instead of selling it at a fixed price, Caelus announced an auction.
More players came forward seeing the commotion.
"Starting bid for the Rare armor is 100,000 Origin Credits."
A bidding war immediately broke out.
"120,000!"
"150,000!"
"180,000!"
"220,000!"
"280,000!"
"320,000!"
Finally, a wealthy player shouted the winning bid.
"350,000 Origin Credits!"
The marketplace erupted in whispers. Everyone realized just how valuable Rare equipment truly was.
They all wore jealous gazes as they stared at Caelus.
They too wanted to make money like this. But clearing the Domain Dungeon was easier said than done.
Caelus then began looking at his Origin Credit balance and also checked the accounts for all the sales.
45 Common armors sold for 25,000 each. That brought in 1,125,000 Origin Credits.
Sixteen Uncommon armors sold for 50,000 each. That brought in 800,000 Origin Credits.
He sold three Rare armors at 350,000 each. That brought in 1,050,000 Origin Credits.
The total earnings from the sales were: 2,975,000 Origin Credits.
Caelus glanced toward Sylvia. A bright smile slowly appeared on his face.
"We made 2,975,000 Origin Credits."
"That is almost $30,000 dollars."
"$29,750 to be precise."
Sylvia smiled sweetly.
She looked around her to see if anyone was looking, and confirming that no one was, she swiftly patted Caelus’s head.
"Good work, hubby," she said with a sweet smile.
Caelus was even more proactive, giving her a kiss directly.
"Thank you for the help. I couldn’t have done it without your help as well." Sylvia nodded with a smile.
The moment sank in. Everything they just earned came entirely from the Domain Dungeon and their own hard work.
Just as the excitement began settling, someone stepped forward from the crowd.
It was David.
