Chapter 190: Change in Class Ascension, A Six-Hit Combo of Calamity! Extracting an Overlord-Potential
For starters, they did not have a rank.
They were similar to the skills he acquired from the gods.
He wondered why they were blank.
But for now, he checked the info on them both.
[Temporal regression: rewind time back for 1 second.]
This was amplified by the half-dragon transformation to 3 seconds.
This was also what allowed him to make Azula regress back to the state before he transformed.
Then, he used his Origin Sever to completely stop him.
[Origin Sever: Erase the concepts that bind things. The concept erasure is permanent for people that have a combat score below you. If the person is stronger than you, the erasure will only last 5 second. You can train this power by developing your own origin.]
Developing his own origin meant class ascension for his Ender of Origin class.
The class also now had a change.
[Ender of Origin no longer ascends automatically through rank. You must cultivate your potential to power the class and, in turn, receive powers from it.]
This by itself was also interesting. Perhaps, this will also help with unlocking more time related powers or strengthening it?
Speaking of which, he also got a new talent from the calamity drake.
It was called Calamity Punch and it was a Mythical Skill.
It was similar to Myriad Moves of Heavenly Sword. It had six consecutive punches. Once it reached the sixth, you would receive an iframe and awaken the calamity’s power. The last punch would deal +10 damage and trigger a zone of disorder and calamities. Perhaps meteors might come down, or perhaps the sky itself might crash down on your enemies.
But there was naturally a catch.
If you stopped even for a moment, you would have to redo it, and it would most definitely take 15 CA for each use, even if it was stopped midway.
He could perhaps be called the Calamity Puncher or something.
Just then, two people rushed into the room.
It was surprisingly Sylvia and Lyra.
"Caelus," Sylvia called out as she rushed into his embrace.
"Haha. I am back," Caelus said with a smile.
"You have been out for a day now," Lyra spoke, having her arms folded over her chest.
"..." Caelus had a change in expression the instant he saw Lyra.
What was the angel doing here?
How come Sylvia was with her?
However, before he could say anything, Sylvia filled him in on the details of the past incident.
"It has only been a day?" Caelus was shocked.
"Yeah. Lyra used a special artifact to get you back to normal," Sylvia said.
"The dragon transformation had completely strained your body beyond normal repair. Normal healing could not work on you anymore, and you would be in a coma for a few months or perhaps even die in the worst case. But Lyra improvised by using an artifact that could store a massive amount of faith, which could be converted into a healing power that can almost resurrect a half-dead person."
"A faction power, huh?" Caelus knew with one word that this artifact was related to a faction.
"Did you use up all of the faith you acquired from the people of this planet to heal me?" Caelus could not help but ask.
He himself knew Sylvia was not exaggerating.
"You need a higher energy affinity," Lyra said with a small snort. "If you had a better affinity, you would have been able to tank that dragon transformation better."
"Not just that. You have no idea how hard it was to control your dragon energy. It was to the point we had to put you in special power-suppressing chains, just because you kept destroying your body."
Caelus sighed hearing this.
Indeed, what she said might be the truth. The Chaos Perception Dragon was the ultimate power, a being sustained by energy. Inflating the cells and transforming them through Chaos Axiom energy.
He, Caelus Kross, had a weak affinity.
The inflation of cells at a rapid pace with the ender’s authority did not take into account his weak affinity.
But at the same time, Caelus’s expression turned.
"But why save me?" Caelus asked, as if he had an inkling as to why she did it.
"Because I have to," Lyra said with a defeated sigh.
Lyra abruptly half-knelt on the floor.
"I greet our lord, Ender of Origin."
"As I thought," Caelus also sighed. "I saw a past memory of the old origin."
"There were two beings chasing him."
"One I identified as the Ancient Dragon God. The other must be the God of Boundless Light. Am I right?"
"Yes," Lyra replied. "Our God is one of the many beings you created."
Sylvia did not show any reactions. She already knew about this from Lyra.
She had made it clear.
"I even planned on eliminating you before, Lord Origin," Lyra said while trembling. "If the Boundless Light knows about it, he will definitely take away my status as a pillar."
"Hm." Caelus was silent as he stared at Lyra.
Right next to her, there was a notification.
[A Gold Rarity, Overlord-Tier Potential Pillar spotted.]
[Would you like to extract?]
Caelus did it without hesitation. He didn’t expect a extraction window to appear on Lyra.
[Ding! You have received the Overlord-Tier Pillar: Angel.]
"!!!" Caelus immediately became stunned, then excited.
This excitement was seen by the two girls as well.
Lyra looked at Caelus in confusion.
Did seeing her apologizing and on her knees give him a superiority complex, making him excited as a result?
Just as quickly, Caelus coughed.
"It is fine. I do not mind it."
"If I was in your place, I would eliminate myself too."
Lyra: "..."
Was he boasting about himself now?
"So, are you going to join my faction now?" Caelus asked curiously. "Am I not your direct lord?" Caelus asked while blinking.
"Yes," Lyra said.
"The origin previously did not have a faction for himself. Hence, the Ancient Dragon God and the Boundless Light created a faction of their own to bring you followers. The Boundless Light Faction is rightfully yours."
"Oh." Caelus nodded.
"But, Lord Origin, there is also another thing about the Boundless Light Faction or rather the Holy Church."
"What is that?"
"The holy church is divided," Lyra said. "There is a priest in the faction known as Mark Twilight. He has a huge following of his own in the faction."
"Usually, it is me and him that make the decisions. He wants this place for himself and does not believe in you like I do, nor do they care."
"How will we deal with them?"
"He is also a Crown III. Dealing with him is not easy."
"Crown III, you say?" Caelus was taken aback by this.
"Yes," Lyra nodded. "He is currently in retreat, doing some sort of experiment."
"He is one of the few Crown IIIs on our planet."
"The holy church mainly follows his words and not mine," Lyra added.
Lyra thought nothing of it until now. Since bringing the planet under the control of the Boundless Light was her goal, she did not mind it as long as it happened. She never knew things would go this way.
"Of course it is like that," Caelus sighed. "What is your current power level?"
"It is currently limited to Crown III," Lyra said.
"My actual power is way beyond Crown III, but this world does not allow a power above Crown to forcefully descend here."
"However, I do not know the reason for that."
"I only remember a few things, as even remembering things can stop you from entering this world."
"Does that include my ancestor?" Sylvia could not help but ask.
"I remember he was a Crown III before he left. I don’t if he went out of this world or not."
"He left through the spatial transfer artifact. It only had a small amount of power left. It should have only taken him into other middle expanses or perhaps the Upper Expanse. The power it has isn’t enough to forcefully leave this place."
However, Caelus wasn’t focusing that. He was focusing the term he heard from Lyra’s words. "An Upper Expanse?"
"There is an expanse above the middle expanse?"
"Yes," Lyra nodded. "They have far more updates than the middle expanse as well," Lyra added.
"..." Caelus fell silent hearing this.
Of course, he should have expected this considering the middle expanse had the name "middle" in it.
But this was still surprising.
"But it still remains the truth that the vampires descended here like me." Lyra added. "Your ancestor also had his own memories sealed before coming here. We had shared a conversation before."
Sylvia nodded. Her ancestor did mention that. As for the reason, she did not know.
But he must also have a purpose for the vampires descending here, most likely related to the Ender of Death.
Just then, a notification appeared across everyone’s screen.
[Ding! The wait is over.]
[The Azure Origin planet has merged with a middle expanse cluster.]
[Ding! Domain is open!]
