Chapter 1317: Chapter 1356: Grace
Mabel Quinn thought about this in her heart, then entered the room, took a clean blanket, and gently covered Kyle Kinston, to prevent him from catching a cold.
Looking at the sleeping Kyle, Mabel found herself somewhat lost in thought. Today, Kyle’s initiative really surprised her; he would willingly drink a beverage he didn’t like for Ivy and even insisted on finishing the wind chime for the child despite his discomfort, not wanting the child to know he was unwell.
She could feel that he was considering the child. In the past, he detested children. She initially thought he wouldn’t be very kind to Ivy, or it would merely be superficial kindness, not reaching his heart.
After all, he had never expected this child’s birth. So previously, all she hoped for was that he would never harm the child.
And now, she sees him being good to the child, bit by bit. This kindness is not a deliberate disguise but because he loves Ivy as well.
If only he had been willing to love the child like this back then... Mabel thought involuntarily, and then she suddenly shook her head. Oh God, what was she thinking?
She actually thought about the past again!
Feeling a bit uneasy, she hurriedly returned to the bedroom, afraid that lingering in the living room and looking at him asleep would lead her to even more wild thoughts.
In the empty living room, those originally closed eyes slowly opened, gazing deeply toward the bedroom direction for a moment before falling on the blanket covering him.
She is ultimately still soft-hearted towards him, right? He couldn’t help but tug at the blanket, feeling the warmth it provided. Earlier, while she was reading a story, he had unknowingly fallen asleep, but he slept lightly, so when she approached, he actually woke up.
He only pretended to continue sleeping because he wanted to stay here a bit longer, fearing that if he opened his eyes, she would ask him to leave.
However, he didn’t expect her to cover him with a blanket.
Even if this action was merely out of sympathy, he was happy. As long as she cared a little about him, showed a little concern for him, it would already be a kind of grace for him.

Francine Howards had a miserable time recently, subjected to endless ridicule in Falling City, becoming a joke within high society circles. Over at the Howards Family, it seemed as if they had given up on her family, providing no help at all. Now her life was nowhere close to that of a debutante, indeed worse than that of an ordinary wealthy family’s daughter.
The corporation in her parents’ hands was in utter deficit, and Kyle Kinston wanted their family to leave Falling City!
Leave Falling City, and go to another city in disgrace to live a tough life? How could she accept such a life!
Francine directly ran to Dorian Howards’ residence, wanting to see him. Her cousin had a good relationship with Kyle; as long as her cousin pleaded for her, there could still be a turnaround. Moreover, if her cousin was willing to have Howards Group take over the mess in her parents’ hands, to invest money in her parents’ corporation, then naturally the debts would disappear, and maybe they could even earn a lot.
She could naturally then return to her original circle, becoming again the illustrious Miss Howards in the eyes of others.
So at this moment, Dorian Howards became Francine Howards’ only lifeline.
