Chapter 1313: Chapter 1352: Homework

"Then Ivy is..." Sister Han said hesitantly.

"Kyle Kinston is Ivy’s father," Mabel Quinn said.

So it’s true! Sister Han thought. This answer was something she had originally suspected, but hearing it confirmed from Mabel Quinn’s mouth still made Sister Han feel a sense of shock.

"But why haven’t I heard you mention it before? I always thought Ivy’s father, your husband, had already passed away," Sister Han said. "Mabel, you’re really good at keeping secrets."

Thinking back, she had considered introducing someone to Mabel before. Luckily, she hadn’t done it; otherwise, Elder Kinston might’ve seen her as an enemy.

"Kyle and I have actually been separated for six years, only nominally still a couple," Mabel Quinn said. "Sorry Sister Han, I never mentioned it before. I just thought maybe he and I might never meet again in this lifetime, but I didn’t expect..."

Hearing this, Sister Han could somewhat understand. It seems Mabel’s feelings aren’t quite smooth sailing either. "But I see Elder Kinston cares a lot about you. He’s suddenly invested in our drama and wants to join the crew, probably because of you, right?"

Sister Han is quite astute; with a little thought, she could guess most of the situation.

"I don’t want to think too much about it. Now I just hope this drama can be filmed well," Mabel Quinn said.

In the next few days, Mabel Quinn was busy preparing for the script discussion meeting to be held soon. All the important actors in the drama will be present.

Atlas Shaw was also busy with character-related matters, like costume fittings, character styling, and promotional photoshoots, so he didn’t really have time to come see Mabel Quinn. On the contrary, Kyle Kinston frequently visited during these days. At first, Mabel Quinn felt quite uneasy, but after many visits, she became somewhat numb.

After all, coming once or coming many times, it’s just an extra pair of chopsticks at dinner.

Katherine Quinn, the little one, seemed quite happy about her dad’s visits because he would help her assemble the Kitty Home, and his assembly efficiency was quite high. So every time Kyle Kinston came to the Apartment Complex, the little one was excited to pull him into helping with the Kitty Home assembly.

With Kyle Kinston helping with the child, Mabel Quinn was slightly more relaxed these few days; otherwise, she’d be even busier.

Aside from assembling the Kitty Home, the little one’s homework was also being assisted by Kyle Kinston. Occasionally, after Mabel Quinn finished work, if the homework wasn’t completed, she’d lend a hand.

Today, after dinner, the little one brought out the homework, and it was rare for Mabel Quinn to have completed all her work by the afternoon. So she planned to do homework with her daughter in the evening.

Looking at the homework, it wasn’t difficult; it was just making a wind chime using discarded beverage cans, with a rough sample drawing in the workbook. Mabel Quinn looked at it; the difficulty wasn’t high—just selecting some different sizes of beverage cans, punching holes, and stringing them together.

But the problem was, finding so many beverage cans at once is difficult, especially since the workbook specifies using more than three types of beverage cans. Looking at the sample drawing, Mabel Quinn calculated that they need about 12 or more beverage cans in total.

————Tomorrow morning, I need to visit the Hospital, so the morning update will be moved to 2-3 PM in the afternoon. The evening update will remain unchanged.
