Chapter 1301: Chapter 1340: Whispered Words
Aunt Wu saw Mabel Quinn return and finally let out a sigh of relief.
Mabel Quinn was momentarily stunned, especially since she didn’t expect to see Kyle Kinston again so soon.
The little one, on the other hand, was very excited to see the two, calling out "Daddy, Atlas!" and then ran over, proactively kissing both of them, also showing off her bravery at the hospital, saying she didn’t cry even when her blood was drawn!
Atlas Shaw enthusiastically praised the little one’s courage, while Kyle Kinston looked thoughtfully at Mabel Quinn.
Mabel Quinn felt a bit awkward and turned her head away, wanting to avoid Kyle Kinston’s gaze.
However, Kyle Kinston soon approached her, suddenly bent down, and whispered near her ear in a voice only they could hear, "Do you really think the hospital can find something?"
Mabel Quinn was startled.
"It’s useless. The Kinston Family’s Blood Curse can only be lifted by Destiny." he said.
"Daddy, are you and Mommy whispering?" the little one leaned forward to ask.
"Yes, Daddy is whispering to Mommy." Kyle Kinston replied.
"Ivy, be good and play with Uncle Atlas; Mommy and Daddy need to talk." Mabel Quinn said to her daughter, then turned to Kyle Kinston, "Let’s talk in the room." She said this while taking Kyle Kinston’s hand first, leading him towards her bedroom. After the initial chaos in her mind subsided, she actually had many questions to ask him.
Kyle Kinston was slightly taken aback as she took his hand, this feeling unexpectedly filled him with joy. Knowing that maybe this gesture meant nothing to her, he was still excited about it.
"Okay." He agreed, following her into the bedroom.
Meanwhile, Atlas Shaw watched them, his eyes slightly narrowing. It felt as if something was happening between Mabel Quinn and Kyle Kinston, something into which he could not intercede.
This feeling was uncomfortable. He couldn’t help but wonder if Mabel Quinn and Kyle Kinston would really end; or perhaps their bond was actually growing stronger?
Inside the room, Mabel Quinn closed the door, then seriously looked at Kyle Kinston, "Are you really saying that the hospital can’t find out anything about this Blood Curse?"
"They can’t. Everything appears normal until the night of the Full Moon, then there’s unbearable pain all night, and a few days before the Full Moon, there are occasional short pains that we call ’omens’." Kyle Kinston replied.
Mabel Quinn frowned, "So until the day Ivy’s Blood Curse manifests, we won’t know if she inherited it?"
"If in my lifetime, she’s my only child, then she will surely inherit it. If there are more than just her, then one of them in this generation will end up inheriting the Blood Curse." he said.
This inheritance method could only be described as cruel! Mabel Quinn trembled all over, "Really only something called Destiny can lift it?"
"Yes."
"But... but don’t you have medicine?" She recalled the small white medicine bottle she had once seen him with.
"That’s only for temporary pain relief, once the suppression period is over, the attacks will be much more painful, and each additional intake increases bodily resistance, after a certain number of intakes, it becomes ineffective." he said.
