At that moment, the red-haired demoness raised her scythe again. But in perfect sync, the sound of air being pierced echoed as a flaming spear, its flames a peculiar shade of pink, flew straight toward her head.
*CLANG!*
The intense impact reverberated, and the pink flames roared around the demoness. A strange draconic aura erupted like a pillar, merging with the flames. The spear’s strike seemed powerful enough to ignite both heaven and earth.

"This time, I’ll make sure to kill you!"
A dry, furious voice rang out. Hearing this, the demoness grinned wickedly and spun her scythe, cutting through the flames.
*BOOM!*
The moment the weapons collided, the world was illuminated by a clash of demonic red light and pink flames.
Ruri and the whale finally saw the owner of the spear.
It was a humanoid young man with long, flowing pink hair that waved like ripples in the wind. His intense, expressive blue eyes contrasted with his muscular and defined physique. Though not tall or bulky, he bore a resemblance to Corin. He wore light clothing, with his torso exposed, exuding a majestic and mystical presence.
He also had draconic bloodline but was clearly a hybrid. His similarity to Corin wasn’t a coincidence; he was a mix between a Chromaraic and a low-level draconic beast.
Still, like everyone here, he was a powerful mutant. Judging by his aura, he was on par with the red-haired demoness. However, when their weapons clashed, he grunted and staggered back a few steps, surprise flashing in his eyes.
"Today marks the destruction of your race. And you won’t escape me!" declared the demoness, her cruel laughter echoing as she eyed him with a clear, lascivious hunger.
Ruri, standing beside the whale, narrowed her eyes. She’d seen plenty of perverted, lustful men before, but this was her first time seeing a woman like that. She was undeniably attractive, but her mind was twisted.
That dark light appeared again at the tip of her scythe, and the demoness swung it toward the man, leaving him no room to breathe. Her movements were as quick as lightning.
The man didn’t have time to raise his spear to block. His body pulsed, covered in multicolored scales, as he intercepted the scythe with his defensive power and strength.
The impact rippled across the battlefield. At the same time, a vortex of power formed, launching demons and beasts into the air, many meeting instant death.
This was merely the combined power of their weapons and mutant bloodlines. Even so, both of them were nearly as strong as cultivators in the early divine realms.
The man now bore a deep cut on his chest and spat a mouthful of blood; he’d managed to defend himself this time, but he wouldn’t be able to again. The demoness cackled and attacked again. They clashed repeatedly, with no pause.
It was evident that this wasn’t their first fight. The two had developed a deep understanding of each other. For fighters of this caliber, finding a weakness meant exploiting it relentlessly until the opponent fell.
The demoness continued her fierce assault, driving the man further and further back. Meanwhile, the army of mutant draconic beasts steadily retreated, beginning to panic. They wanted to help the man, sensing that he was on the verge of defeat, but couldn’t even get close to the battlefield.
The strongest among the beasts, those with the power to approach, were under relentless attack from their enemies. As a result, the battle lines were continuously pushed back.
After enduring a series of ferocious attacks, the man finally coughed up another mouthful of blood. His flames had vanished, and the scales on his body disappeared.
"It’s over!" the demoness taunted with a sinister smile, spinning her scythe toward him once more.
"No!" horrified cries echoed from the draconic beasts. To them, the man’s defeat would mean the end.
"Don’t worry, darling. I’ve got plenty of plans for you…" the demoness murmured lasciviously.
"In your dreams, you bitch!" the man roared, his eyes filled with hatred and defiance.
He watched the scythe approach slowly... until a shadow suddenly appeared in his field of vision! Out of nowhere, something massive and rounded positioned itself between him and the blade.
**BANG!**
With an explosive sound, the scythe struck what felt like a solid iron wall.
"Ah! My scythe!" a furious wail echoed.
The weapon ricocheted and nearly slipped from her hands. When she looked... the scythe’s blade was now cracked in half. The demoness’s expression twisted in rage, while the man stared in disbelief at the figure in front of him.
"A golem? A hybrid with an ogre?" he murmured in shock.
"You’re not gonna stop playing around?"
Everyone around them was stunned as they saw the massive rounded golem standing there, wearing a mocking grin directed at the demoness.
He did nothing but rush to intercept the scythe, letting it hit him directly. The only surprise—one that greatly pleased Alm—was that, despite the impact, the metal of the scythe had only cracked slightly, allowing him to feel its unique and sinister properties more clearly.
"Die!" the demoness roared. Her left hand shot forward like lightning toward the golem, her sharp nails cutting through the air.
Though the strike was quick and unarmed, its power was terrifying. At close range, the demoness’s nails almost reached the man’s throat as she attacked.
"Don’t touch him, you bitch!"
**Slap!!**
Suddenly, the demoness was thrown back several meters, and everyone around stopped fighting as they heard the loud slap.
She tumbled across the ground several times before quickly getting up, trying to act like nothing had happened. However, upon noticing the eerie silence around her and the strange looks directed her way, she saw a small red handprint on her cheek.
In front of the golem stood a small dragoness, covered in violet scales and surrounded by a subtle mental aura. With just a bit of that power, Ruri had easily approached and slapped her without being detected.
"YOU!"
The demoness seemed to have lost it, completely losing her composure. Ignoring the damage to her scythe, she swung it toward the strange couple.
The golem stepped forward to block the scythe, but the demoness didn’t lose her wits and dodged at the last moment. Then she saw a curved blade approaching her throat.
She jumped to dodge, cold sweat dripping as she landed. If that blade had hit, she might’ve died.
"Celestial Daughter, it’s him and her we were hunting!" yelled the leader of the Corrupted Demon Sect.
"Then you can all die!" roared the demoness. She then vanished into numerous afterimages. Clones moved, and the scythe seemed to attack Ruri and the whale from all directions.
Alm realized that if he faced the strike directly, the scythe would break. He sensed it would reduce the metal’s power. So, he mentally ordered Ruri, and they began magically dodging left and right, avoiding confronting her head-on.
Quickly, the golem spoke in a panicked tone. "Hey, hey! I’m just here to mediate, calm down! The heavens are kind; they don’t like violence—especially if you’re trying to impress a man! Demon charm doesn’t always work! Show him what you’ve got inside you!"
The demoness was so enraged her red hair stood on end, like untamed flames. The afterimages all reflected her chaotic fury.
"What’s this? You used to be just a run-of-the-mill tramp, and now you’ve leveled up to a full-on flaming hooker? Bravo on the glow-down!" Ruri said with a wicked grin.
Bruno tried to keep things polite with his remarks, but Ruri clearly didn’t care and did whatever she wanted. It nearly made Bruno burst out laughing, though he quickly held it in.
The two continued to dodge nimbly while the scythe sliced through the air faster, in a frenzy. But even with their dodging, any observer would notice some openings around them. It seemed like they were about to be struck at any moment.
Both of them appeared surrounded by danger, relying entirely on their instincts, a hair’s breadth from death. The golem’s defense was shocking, and everyone imagined he was either seriously injured internally or out of energy. He definitely couldn’t repeat that feat without dying.
As for their provocations, it was a shameless tactic to destabilize the opponent... which was clearly working masterfully.
The "crisis" they were in was evident. Then, a spear cut through the air, exuding scorching heat. It passed precisely, almost touching the golem’s cheek, heading straight for the demoness.
The man finally had a chance to recover. Seeing the duo in danger, he immediately launched a supporting attack.
The spear sent the demoness flying back, interrupting her storm of attacks.
"Thank you so much for your help. I, Nayr, will remember this favor. This place is dangerous, so you should leave!" the man shouted nobly.
Though the golem had blocked and shattered the demoness’s scythe, the laws of the land were known for their abnormal defenses. Since everyone there was a mutant with powerful bloodlines, it was easy to assume he’d burned through everything he had to defend himself.
The small dragoness, on the other hand, was clearly a hybrid, or she would’ve been fighting in a larger beast form. Nayr felt the connection with her draconic bloodline, but it was faint and subtle.
Her entire body was covered in scales, and it seemed she still didn’t have full control over her bloodline. However, her movements and sword skills were impressive. She was a rough diamond, one who could become something terrifying in the future.
The two were clearly newcomers, still not sure exactly what they were doing, but they had chosen to help. Due to their panicked movements, Nayr concluded they weren’t very powerful and were just relying on their unique power and the element of surprise to assist him.
That’s why he moved quickly after healing, wanting to get them out of danger. After all, they had saved his life, and he couldn’t just stand by while they were at risk.
Ruri was impressed; that man’s heart was surprisingly good. Alm and Bruno, however, decided to change plans and act differently. Going with the flow and waiting sometimes creates unpredictable opportunities.
"Hey, let’s stop fighting! Hey, red-haired demoness who looks like a tree of flames..."
"…flaming hooker…" Ruri pretended to murmur in the middle of Bruno’s words, but everyone heard.
"Cough, cough, I can see you’re not a good person! It would be a shame if you got hurt here and now!" the golem finished, jumping toward the battlefield.
"Get out! You’re gonna die!"
Seeing the golem attack recklessly, full of openings, Nayr shouted angrily. There was no way the demoness was letting him escape this time.
"Don’t worry, I’m really tough! She can’t do anything to me... HEAVENS!"
Suddenly, the golem let out a terrified scream as the demoness appeared behind him from an extremely unexpected angle. When he tried to react, her claws were already touching his back, aiming for his heart.
"Be careful!" Nayr shouted as his spear lunged with full force, trying to make the demoness defend instead of attack.
What came next was even weirder. The golem spun like a top at an incredible, unbelievable speed. The demoness’s strike went right through, cutting only the air.
The demoness was shocked to see this. That was one of her deadly moves, meticulously timed, angled, and powered. Yet such a perfect attack had missed.
However, Nayr was approaching, but he was a bit too slow to stop her. But, in the middle of this apparent inconsistency, the perfect opportunity to attack her appeared.
An opening that hadn’t existed before suddenly appeared the moment her claw missed the target, and the spear hit the demoness head-on.
It seemed like she had intentionally created that opening for him to exploit. Both Nayr and the demoness were stunned.
The spear impaled her chest, destroying the bloody light protecting her along with her golden scales. Beneath them was a thin Yin death armor, but it couldn’t stop the spear’s advance. In the end, the tip plunged deep into her chest.
"You bold slut, you dared to touch him again?!"
**CRACK!**
As soon as Nayr’s attack hit the target, Ruri appeared like a shadow, delivering another relentless slap to the demoness’s face. But this time, the sound wasn’t just a regular slap, it was the piercing sound of bones breaking.
