After many sessions and practical teachings, Ruri finally stabilized her divine soul. The union of life energies made it easier to perceive that power and manipulate it properly.

Alm and Bruno, after several days, were already exhausted and desperate. After her reconstruction, Ruri showed even greater resistance than before. The situation shifted when an unexpected message came through the array.

"Almin is back! We have to act, let’s go."

The whale announced, relieved, but was surprised to notice that Ruri’s face didn’t tense. Instead, she smiled brightly, placing her hand on her belly and feeling the changes with excitement, which made them break into cold sweat...

But they quickly realized she still hadn’t reached her goal. Ruri felt that now, it was more feasible due to the changes made; that sensation made her much more excited.

After almost three weeks of being missing, the two returned. Upon arriving at the main hall of the building, they found Purimu and Lyra anxiously waiting. Almin was unconscious on a bed, with black rune marks on every inch of his body, looking as though they had been deeply burned into his skin.

"Master, his soul is gravely injured," Lyra reported quickly, and the whale nodded, approaching.

Upon examining him, they soon noticed something surprising: those marks were traces of the infernal law. Focusing on Almin’s core, they found his internal rune of that law, which was glowing and much more powerful than they remembered.

"These marks and the injuries to his soul were caused by him. Don’t worry," the whale declared, calming both of them.

Even the mark of an Empyrean, which had the potential to resurrect him, was infected by that high-level power; if Almin died, that mark would be destroyed easily, and he would never be resurrected.

Alm and Bruno were well familiar with that law, though what they had seen before didn’t even represent 0.0001% of the power they were witnessing now. They had once had an infernal internal rune, but it had been completely converted into a Yin rune.

Using his control over Yin, close to that law, to analyze, Alm concluded: "In the core of the galaxy, there must be the purest and densest manifestation of the infernal law. Almin probably found it and deliberately drew it to himself, absorbing it little by little. For an ordinary person, this would be a complete suicide, as the soul would be mortally wounded. But... he knew I could save him when I returned."

The two swallowed hard; his current condition was considered impossible to reverse for any cultivator. Almin had risked his life, relying on the certainty that the whale would return. He also trusted his soul, which was very powerful, and could prolong his survival with the help of pills. But it was like a living dead, merely delaying the inevitable.

The whale waved it off, unconcerned. Then, mystical phenomena made the eyes of the two women shine. They forced the heavenly laws to restore Almin’s soul while Bruno used his power of faith to heal his body.

In a minute, the fatal and irrecoverable injuries disappeared. Purimu was already getting used to seeing this figure do impossible things. In her mind, reality, or anything else, no longer mattered next to him—if he wanted it, everything would be solved.

Almin opened his eyes, and Lyra hugged him tightly. He gently calmed her down, and then his eyes met the whale.

"What did you find? And why did you come back so hastily, risking everything like that?" the whale asked softly.

"Inside that sealed world, there are heroes of an unimaginable level guarding something. It’s something so terrifying that it influences the whole place and even the entire galaxy... the infernal laws are just something made to contain a bit of that."

"Hmm..." The whale turned to Lyra. "Show him that half of the cauldron. Almin, try using your infernal law."

He was confused, but Lyra nodded and took from her silver spatial ring a mass of white light. The half of a cauldron appeared, its power completely sealed, looking like just a dead scrap. The phoenix was dormant, and it was Lyra who was keeping it in this state on her own.

Almin didn’t notice anything strange about the half of the cauldron, which seemed like just an exotic object. However, when he activated his infernal law, his internal rune vibrated, betrayed by the presence of that artifact, as if it were a magnet pulling him.

Alm and Bruno quickly confirmed their suspicions. "So that’s it. The infernal laws were made to dominate the other half of the cauldron. It’s sealed in that place."

The Ziz and the Leviathan, in the inventory, also observed the scene. The Leviathan felt the law close to Yin within Almin and was surprised.

’He mastered this law? It shouldn’t be possible to enhance an internal rune like that. Unless his rune is already at a higher level…’

The whale nodded. ’He’s had control over this law for a long time, since he had a very low cultivation. I made him go through tribulations that no cultivator would dare face, using that to enhance his rune. It’s hard to find someone with greater mastery over it.’

Almin stared at them seriously and sent a rune with his memories. The whale received it and analyzed the contents. It was a simple image, a mark in space radiating spiritual power.

Alm and Bruno quickly realized what it meant. "It’s a mark similar to a Heavenly Elemental Spirit. Why?"

"I’ve seen this several times in battles over the last few years. This mark comes from the Dao of the Heavenly Spirit God," Almin replied, sighing. "This Dao was made only for the Heavenly Elemental Spirits. I’m not entirely sure how it works, but it creates a connection with whoever places this rune. Through that connection, people from this race can practically teleport to it, crossing space-time, formations, and whatever else."

"In the battles we’ve fought, it’s really hard to kill someone from the Heavenly Spirit God Sect because of this. At the slightest hint of danger, they disappear and easily flee back to the sect. But now, with this rune present... and the extremely high level I sensed from it... this was left by the very God who leads the sect."

The whale narrowed its eyes. This Dao was indeed exclusive to that race created by natural laws. No other being could use it, and this ability was unique. But for all the disciples to use it, it must just be the surface of the technique.

"I came back as fast as I could because I saw a High Elder from that sect appear. They really can come and go from the sealed world easily, without anyone noticing. This High Elder said the entrance test for disciples this year would be unique in history. Only 0.1% would survive, but those who could use the Divine Dao and merge with the laws of that place... could contribute to something unique in history and help the heroes."

Alm and Bruno’s eyes widened, and then they immediately sent a message to Nebai at the Larimar market. Minutes later, she brought a response.

"The Heavenly Spirit God Sect will start the recruitment test in three months. This test seems much bigger than all the previous ones. They haven’t done a recruitment like this in over ten years. And their members, during all that time, have spread throughout the universe, bringing young people from their race to participate. The number of young people trying to enter this time will be in the trillions."

Alm and Bruno listened closely, and everything became clear. The other half of the cauldron was also close to being dominated.

From the words of that High Elder, this Dao could merge any law with that race. So, for this sect to be sacrificing countless young people to merge with the infernal law and help the heroes... it represented a great opportunity arising.

Alm and Bruno turned to the inventory. At the foot of the Chaos Tree, a slender woman with green skin was in a lotus position, practically having completed her physical metamorphosis. They took a good look at Lansha, and she was ready to start again with her new body.

"Excellent," they said, turning to the thousands of souls in the inventory. "Now it’s time to work on your first mission. Are you ready?"

All those souls gritted their teeth, radiating immense willpower.
