In the underground, where a couple was struggling hard to complete an impossible mission, an abrupt change occurred. A wave of power spread in all directions, and everyone on the planet felt their souls and minds tremble. For a moment, everyone lost consciousness; then, everything returned to normal.

At that moment, in the underground, the whale was staring at Ruri, shocked. Her eyes were radiant, emanating an abnormal power that had suddenly appeared. She was panting and smiling, still physically connected to them. Then her eyes slowly closed... falling into a deep coma.

Alm and Bruno jumped and quickly examined her, alarmed. Her body was internally perfect, but her soul had completely changed. At first glance, it seemed like her soul had been completely shattered.

Within seconds, her body seemed to begin breaking apart too. It was as if her body couldn’t handle something and was literally breaking. Had they gone too far this time?

Bruno used the power of faith to heal her, but things quickly escalated.

’What the hell is happening?’ they panicked in seconds, even feeling the energy of her soul and the Law of Origin within her fading away.

Closing their eyes, they used their own souls to the fullest, forcing the heavens to grant soul energy to replenish what she was losing. Then, they used their mastery over the Law of Origin to seal that energy inside her.

Minutes passed, but... this didn’t seem to have any effect. They were preventing her from dying, but they couldn’t keep that up forever; they needed to find a solution.

Alm thought frantically: ’Why did this happen? We just perfectly enhanced the technique with the new level. We completed the cycle flawlessly. She even said she felt her body and soul merging with ours...!’

Something came to both of their minds. That technique united the three energies of their lives, then split them, slightly enhancing the original. Ruri was tireless and hardworking; her soul was already very powerful due to the array, but it had also been constantly refined and enhanced after the marriage, thanks to the joint technique they developed.

’Could it be?’ Bruno grew serious, while Alm didn’t hesitate and immediately touched Ruri’s forehead.

That was where the entrance to the beastly world was. Their pets, along with the soul of the Primordial Dragon, were sealed inside, locked by her while they were together. With her will, the doors opened. Inside, they quickly called for the only person who could help.

"Coltia, quick, check her soul, have you seen this before?"

Coltia, who had once been an immortal cultivator with a divine soul, left that world in the form of a small Silkworm and turned to the unconscious Ruri. She was completely naked and drenched in sweat, but still had a strange, satisfied smile on her face. It didn’t take a second for her to widen her eyes.

"What? This... I’ve seen this before! It’s very similar to what happened when I broke my soul to the divine level!"

"She seems to be dying, how do we stabilize this?" the whale asked quickly, confirming its suspicions.

Coltia thought for a moment, recalling a distant past. "Stabilize? That’s not possible. A body born with a common soul can’t support a divine soul for long. She needs to abandon the body; then, the heavens will reinforce her soul and complete the breakthrough."

"All immortal cultivators, when breaking through the bottleneck, lose their bodies. But when they become divine, they retain their memories and reincarnate, ascending quickly; that’s why this was never a problem."

The whale immediately retorted: "How? We have a divine soul and inhabit a body created for a common soul."

"The bloodline of a primordial beast in this body is anything but common. That probably made it more capable of supporting it... Besides, you don’t have common divine souls; they’re split into two poles. Your power is different, perhaps weaker. Even I couldn’t say they’re divine without a very careful analysis," she replied seriously.

Alm and Bruno huffed; their soul power had always been peculiar, and so had this body. In the main missions, they were placed in different bodies, always inhabiting unconventional ones; perhaps now they understood why.

What Coltia said earlier made sense. Alm and Bruno knew that, to reach the immortal realms, the natural path was to first advance with the soul, then cultivate the body. To obtain a divine soul, the cultivator needed to live many lives and accumulate experiences.

As they advanced, losing the body they were in became irrelevant. It was better this way; starting from scratch with their memories was a golden opportunity to reach even greater power than before.

"...Making her lose this body would be a huge waste," the whale said firmly.

Coltia sighed, nodding. "There’s not much to be done. The divine soul is above the heavenly laws. A body born and naturally grown doesn’t have what’s needed to support that. Only by being reborn from scratch, the laws end up providing more power to the body, causing it to undergo a mutation and become usable... the laws are strange, but they accept something superior to them and help in the end."

"Power from the heavens?" Alm and Bruno murmured simultaneously. Now they had a secret way to steal it: the gates of life and death in physical cultivation.

The two quickly thought. What if they rebuilt her body, improving it with the power from the heavens, doing the same as the heavenly laws?

They turned to Coltia. "Let’s steal that power and rebuild her body. Help us figure out what’s necessary."

She widened her eyes but nodded. Alm and Bruno focused, realizing that this was a unique opportunity to create something extraordinary. Rebuilding a body after reaching the Body Destruction Realm was considered impossible.

In the next realm, the body reached the divine realms, becoming incredibly dense and powerful. Breaking it and rebuilding it after this level was beyond resources; not even the celestial power of tribulations would be enough.

But that wasn’t a problem. They would take what they needed directly from the source, not caring how much they would need.

Since the energy required was something that the heavens naturally provided when a divine soul needed to start over, it shouldn’t be as restrictive as the Law of Origin.

The problem was that they didn’t know what energy and changes were necessary for a body to support that soul. They would have to search and do everything through trial and error... but if anyone could make this possible, it was those two.

The gates of life and death opened in the whale. Using their celestial soul, they searched the heavenly laws for what they needed. It was like closing their eyes and searching, amidst countless threads, for the one that contained the desired energy.

After numerous tests and many hours, they finally found what they needed. In the end, their celestial soul seemed to be able to tell them what each thing was, giving them a sense of its uses.

Just like the Law of Origin, which was unknown to everyone, there were other energies that the heavenly laws used, and no one knew about them. The gates of life and death, for example, flooded the whale with two distinct forces: generically called the power of life and death. However, these powers had no literal connection to life and death.

The energy they found was subtle, providing a natural feeling, like breathing the air of a sacred and pure forest. When they felt it, it was as though they were hearing a soft and relaxing internal melody.

"Isn’t this similar to the Hidden Song Star?" Bruno commented. Mentioning the name that represented the first stage of the fifth level of physical cultivation, something mysterious that had only been briefly described.

"It seems we found what that Fiendgod intended to use to advance. He really did something like us, searching through the laws for what he wanted... he was crazy and died young because of it," said Alm calmly. "The other two stars of the fifth level must be similar energies we’ll need to obtain."

They nodded, and a large amount of that energy flowed from the gates into the whale’s body. After first testing it on themselves, they felt their bodies crack in a few seconds. The next moment, a peculiar energy ran through the meridians of their physical cultivation.

"The Hidden Song Star has been formed... was it really that easy?" Bruno commented in disbelief.

Alm stayed silent but felt that, while the formation was easy, the energy was uncommon and would take time to fully understand. With the star formed, they closed the gates.

"Now it’s much safer to use this energy... let’s call it the Hidden Law," concluded Alm, focusing on Ruri.

Bringing that energy from outside and trying to rebuild Ruri’s body was extremely risky, like trying to control flames from a bonfire to burn something delicate with precision. However, with the star formed within them, providing a fraction of that energy, everything was under control; it was like handling a welding torch, adjusting the temperature and intensity precisely.

Coltia was beside them, watching as they used that unique energy. She didn’t believe it, but at the first touch of that energy, Ruri’s body began to disintegrate into particles, without being destroyed or harmed. The whale then used the same energy to nourish and reinforce, gradually rebuilding her.

"Hey, improve there too," came the voice of Yinou, the Yin Chaos Dragon.

She was sealed in the beast world, where Ruri forced her to stay when she was with the whale. They hadn’t called her, since Yinou, being a primordial beast, didn’t have more information than Coltia about someone who had advanced to the soul level.

Yinou added, "If you use your Yang to nourish, Ruri will become more fertile and have a better chance. Do you want her to live a frustrated life?"

Coltia and Yinou looked at him seriously, but they had already intended to do that, even without the suggestion. After Purimu’s birth, Ruri had spent a few days in depression and frustration; the longer it took, the worse it would be for her mind, which could harm her future advancement.

"I don’t know if this will help that much," murmured Bruno, applying the purest immortal Yang he had.

Three days later...

"Heavens... did you really rebuild someone with such a high cultivation?" Coltia murmured, watching the whale carefully dress Ruri. Her skin was glowing like a newborn, and an almost sacred and pure aura emanated from her.

In seconds, Ruri opened her eyes.

A divine aura uncontrollably flowed in all directions. Alm, Bruno, and the two figures present sighed in relief and, at the same time, excitement.

"A divine soul..." Coltia murmured. "Congratulations, now you’re at the same level as me. Something only a few hundred cultivators in history have achieved."

Ruri’s eyes widened, confused, but feeling a unique power flowing through her body.

"First, you must learn to control this properly," the whale spoke softly, looking at her. "I had to rebuild your body again, it will take time to get used to it."

Ruri looked at herself, and her expression became slightly dark. Coltia and Yinou immediately understood what she was thinking and only sighed, returning to the beast world and sealing the entrance.

"Teach me slowly... that way I can feel my body more easily. We have time, right?" she asked, approaching, and the whale let out a heavy sigh.
