"We trust you, sir," they both replied in unison. "We will do everything to save our son."

"Great," Bruno said softly. "Since you no longer have a home, I’ll get you out of the underworld. I’ll take you to my home, where you can live peacefully, have as many children as you want, and rebuild your clan."

Both widened their eyes at the same time as the fey on the sword, who had been listening, startled by this new information.

Bruno looked them in the eyes and spoke seriously. "As for your son, I’ll save him and take care of him for a while. Don’t worry, he’ll be well cared for; when I have another opportunity, I’ll send him back to you. It’s the only way I can imagine."

They both forgot to breathe. After a few seconds of silence, the couple turned and exchanged looks without saying a word. Yanson nodded, and Lirelia turned, gazing deeply at Alm and Bruno.

"He must be very close to being born. If you’re going to take care of him, it’s best to keep him by your side. I’m sure he won’t be a burden; our bloodline is powerful. Please allow him to accompany you," she said, as they both bowed deeply.

Alm and Bruno sighed heavily, it was expected. Then Bruno spoke softly, "I’m not good at dealing with beasts... but Liumi can help. My wife is a gentle beast tamer who will treat him like a son. Is that okay with you?"

They both looked up, smiling happily. "We would love to meet your wife someday," Lirelia said calmly. "He’s a boy; we’ve chosen the name Lieson."

Bruno nodded, resigned. One more, one less, now it didn’t matter anymore. He tried to come to terms with it.

Later they reflected, they couldn’t go back now; there must have been confusion near the entrance after so many deaths.

They moved to a safer area to camouflage themselves and waited. Alm and Bruno allowed Liumi to talk a bit about her planet and her city. There, known people lived in an isolated universe, but in peace. The fey listened in astonishment; she had never heard of an immortal cultivator or missionary who could move a planet between universes.

A week later, they decided to move towards the entrance again. They were extremely slow and careful, but after two days without incident, they approached the distortion that separated the inner world from the entrance.

The ore was removed, and they slowly brought it closer to the distortion. The ore passed halfway through, and they felt everything was perfect. Bruno prepared and made a quick move with the ore, opening a hole one and a half meters in the distortion. At that moment, they all jumped quickly to the other side.

They all arrived so smoothly that Alm and Bruno felt like the sky would collapse at any moment. They found themselves again about a kilometer from the entrance. At that moment, a bloody seal seemed to break the space above them.

"Les..." a dry and emotional voice sounded above them.

The sword trembled and its voice sounded softly, "Dephos..."

The two strange objects approached each other in the air. Both had once been physically people, now one was dead and held only a reflection of its will, the other had lost the body and lived in the sword. Life wasn’t easy, especially among cultivators, where it was rare for someone to die of old age, let alone live without going through tragedies.

The silence persisted as everyone below waited while they conversed quietly in private. It didn’t take long; there wasn’t much to be said. Things had ended, and the Devil God didn’t even know if his soul had reincarnated... it was almost certain it hadn’t; he knew the Queen used immortal souls as fertilizer in other universes. Hopefully, his soul wasn’t completely destroyed yet, but it was unlikely they would truly meet again.

Nearly an hour later, they parted ways; then the Devil’s voice sounded. "Thank you, missionary. I’ll fulfill my part of the deal and go with you."

Bruno snorted. "I’m collecting on your part of the deal now; things have changed. I want you to use all your power to take these two to a specific universe."

A silence hung for a few seconds, then the sword gently approached Liumi and attached itself to her waist.

The bloody rune advanced before them, and a red shadow emerged. It lacked intricate details, but its eyes were lively and piercing. It looked directly at Alm and Bruno, sighing shortly after. "I understand... I didn’t believe it when Les spoke. You’re the opposite of what one might see at first glance."

Alm dryly snorted, wanting to end this strange conversation quickly. "Hand over your Dao and take them away. I have to go back and do something dangerous, and I want to finish it quickly."

"Alright, but before that... Les said she wanted to go with you," said the diabolic shadow, looking at them seriously. "You have allies, right? Anyone capable of using spatial laws?"

Alm and Bruno were positively surprised by the proposition. They tried not to show it, and Bruno asked, "Wouldn’t it be better if I just kept the sword? It’s not a weapon; your soul can reincarnate, maybe your fates will cross again..."

"Don’t underestimate me," the voice of the Fey named Les replied dryly. "I’ve lived as an immortal spirit in this weapon for millions of years. I can assure you, I won’t be any worse than anyone else."

Alm and Bruno sighed lightly. "If you insist, my wife is skilled with spatial laws and swordplay. I’ll have to adjust the blade later, but she also likes Feys; the two of them should get along."

The Devil God nodded approvingly, then the shadow nodded, and a small bloody rune floated towards them. It entered their minds, transferring the demon’s Dao to them; they would study it calmly later. In the next moment, the sword vibrated, a small indigo rune floated to them, and the Dao of the Fey Goddess was also received.

Alm and Bruno wasted no time; they sent the exact location of their universe to the Devil God. Since arriving in the underworld and receiving the faith’s power, Bruno could clearly feel where everything came from, and knew the location of the black hole. He could easily distinguish the differences in races and images that had been pulled from it.

That universe was sealed to outsiders, but they were followers of it. To ensure it, Alm and Bruno handed over both the mark of an Empyrean; the Behemoth’s soul that sealed the place would be able to sense this, and would allow them to pass.

The Devil God nodded, confirming the location. He only had the power to do this once; afterwards, his will would cease to exist forever. In this world of the Devil’s Mountain, it didn’t matter whether his will existed or not; he just kept himself alive inside the seal, while the laws had long been controlled by the queen’s people.

As for the cyan spherical object that the succubus heroine received, it would be Alm and Bruno’s salvation for escape.

"Sir, please tell our son that we’ll be thinking of him all the time," Lirelia said with a touch of guilt.

Yanson took a deep breath and finished, "One day, we’ll meet. Until then, we’ll raise his siblings. When he visits us, he’ll have a large family."

Alm and Bruno nodded. Then they turned to the Devil God, who gave one last look to the sword, feeling the spirit within it. "Goodbye... be happy, that’s my greatest wish."

The sword trembled, and the shadow dispersed into red particles. It moved around Yanson and Lirelia. They bowed to Alm and Bruno; then, in an instant, the space around them distorted and they vanished as if entering into emptiness.

’We’ve lost such a good card...’ Bruno lamented, feeling that whenever they gained something valuable, they lost it quickly.

After a sigh, they turned back to the entrance leading back to that world. "Let’s go, Liumi, things are going to get lively," Alm said, and the succubus grinned eagerly. Together, they took steps back.
