Near the planet Gloom, there were other solar systems with various sects. In one of these systems, there was a branch of the Shadow God sect called "Shadow God in the Skies." Both this branch and dozens of other smaller sects divided the Flaming Sky World. However, the Yinblood sect was the official authority responsible for this place, as well as other more distant ones.

In the first few seconds of the test, about 10% of the recruits from Shadow God in the Skies set the test aside and began a thorough search among everyone in their region. Only a small number knew the true meaning of the message they received from the rune on their foreheads. They didn’t intend to tell the others; whoever found the targets first would take everything.

Unaware of this, the whale moved slowly through the terrain of that world. The outer region where it was located was not very extensive, but there were no beasts in this world; the danger came from nature itself. The natural plants throughout this place were carnivorous and extremely bloodthirsty. It was a peculiar challenge for the less experienced, as the plants emitted no bloodthirsty aura or fluctuations even after attacking.

The trees, herbs, and all vegetation seemed harmless and common to see in a forest, but they could suddenly attack without any warning. The entire area was a deadly danger, but those in the whale group could instinctively sense the attack long before it happened. Quirio and Zaimo were still inexperienced and the only ones who would really be going through a test.

The whale merely observed for a few seconds before activating its bloodline. Mining? With the power of the Behemoth, anything on the ground was in its hands. Alm and Bruno immediately sensed the ground throughout the region where they were. Alm smirked sarcastically.

’There’s not enough for even 20% of the people here to pass the test. In the last few days, a bloodbath with everyone desperate and stealing from each other must be common. Well, it doesn’t matter.’

The whale merely opened the earth and dug an underground cavern. They ordered everyone in the group to venture into the region for two days, intending to analyze the place first. They were in the divine world of the queen’s universe, where everything was abnormal, and they couldn’t rely on past experience; now they intended to act safely and take all measures to avoid desperate problems.

They even ordered the most powerful members to use a maximum of one-third of their real power. They had to hide their game to avoid risks; acting without attracting attention was a wise choice. But both Alm and Bruno knew that the heavens conspired for them to act grandiosely. At least they would try to have the necessary knowledge to escape the problems that would eventually arise.

The whale remained hidden below ground and stealthily activated its bloodline to avoid attracting attention. It took twelve hours for them to sense the entire structure of this world through the earth; the laws of the earth are always very useful outside of combat.

’This world is a smaller structure as if it were a leaf of a central tree,’ Bruno concluded thoughtfully. ’Everything is connected to a larger place, certainly to the core of the galaxy. Interesting... there must be something big at the center of all this.’

’That’s too big for us to deal with currently. We have to grow first and act carefully; we won’t delve into that now,’ Alm said coldly.

Bruno agreed; they had already understood the basics of all this. In the outer regions, the stones with primordial energy in the ground were not even 10% of what was in the central area. Despite being an astronomical amount, these stones didn’t have much Qi or laws in them. But their primordial energy was valuable even to Alm and Bruno.

It didn’t make sense to stay there mining; they would go to the central area. That was obviously the core of a formation that governed this place. Alm and Bruno felt the structure, but they didn’t understand even the surface. But their girl was with them, and surely Ruri would be very useful if taken there.

The whale rose slightly and emerged from the underground cavern. Only half a day had passed, and it would wait for the remaining two days to gather the group. It would be good for all of them to venture alone and understand that the divine world was just a place where cultivators were stronger. They lived in an ascending world that treated divine cultivators as untouchable and invincible. Seeing reality would be good; they didn’t need to fear anything, and they would hardly encounter any danger; these recruits in the same realm as them were like insects to everyone.

With not much to do, the whale moved randomly, following its instincts. It would be good to gather allied Feys there; they needed knowledge about the internal structure of the planet Gloom.

Alm casually remarked, ’Given our history, and considering that the Feys from the main planet must be very young cultivators... Bruno, you take the lead.’

’Why? That doesn’t make sense,’ Bruno responded, confused.

’The heavens conspire in your favor. We’ve just arrived; it shouldn’t be long before a loli shows up and makes you happy,’ Alm replied emotionlessly.

’AGAIN WITH THIS CRAP?!’ Bruno retorted dryly. ’Although Ruri was a cute kid, I never had that taste... but... indeed... the very young ones see things with fewer biases, making dealings easier. The Feys here are a good opportunity to gather internal information... but no lolis!’

Alm just smirked sarcastically, while Bruno emphasized that he would only move if it were a male figure, or his stigma would come back in full force.

A few hours passed.

They moved randomly until something subtle caught their attention. It was a Death Yin, similar to the bloody methods they had developed in the past to refine lives.

They followed the Yin and noticed, in the distance, a corpse that had been killed recently. It was completely dry and bloodless, like a mummy.

It didn’t take long for them to find other corpses scattered randomly. All the dead belonged to humanoid and bestial races and were killed without a fight by a much stronger oppressive power. To win so easily, they concluded it was either the work of the Feys from the planet Gloom or the powerful Shadow God sect.

Following their instincts, they sensed a distant bloody fluctuation. The whale moved slowly in that direction, as if it were strolling randomly. The hidden figure felt their approach, but Alm and Bruno noticed a hesitation.

It took a few minutes for the fluctuations to change, as if the owner didn’t want to meet them but had no choice. Alm and Bruno continued until the space around them changed.

A red mist covered everything around the whale, bringing a strong smell of blood. It was a simple but very efficient bloody Yin domain to prevent the escape of a target.

A voice sounded childish, making Bruno sigh. "Give up, human hybrid. I don’t want to hurt you."

"Hm? You don’t? By your power, you’ve killed and sucked the blood of at least thirty in the region," the whale lazily remarked.

The voice trembled. "It wasn’t me! But unfortunately, this is the work of people from my clan."

After speaking, the mist in front of the whale parted slightly, and a small figure emerged. It was one and a half meters tall, with wings as red as blood. Its eyes were black, with short hair and white clothes. From its aura, an intense Yin could be felt, but contrary to all previous knowledge of Alm and Bruno, this was definitely a Fey. Yet, it was very young, with no apparent gender characteristics.

"You came to take the test for the same sect as me, but our difference is like heaven and earth; I was born in the same place where the Yinblood sect reigns. My clan is called Blood Tears Fey; our power and cultivation method are based on sucking the blood of cultivators," the voice sounded, trying to explain calmly. "Several from my clan are nearby, taking the test. We have no choice but to choose some targets; it’s our survival guarantee."

"I see. But you said you don’t want to harm me? It sounds contradictory," the whale said lightly.

"Yes, I will suck your blood. But a cultivator doesn’t die just from that; I won’t take all your life energy; just... half, okay? You’ll be unconscious, but I guarantee in my life that I’ll protect you until the end of the test. You’re not the first; I’ve already captured two humans," he spoke lightly, but the whale didn’t change expression, leaving him confused. "You don’t understand? Just accept and..."

"Have you defined your gender? Are you a boy or a girl?" the whale interrupted, asking directly.

"What? My name is Idris; I’ve already established myself as male," he promptly responded, even more confused.

At that moment, Bruno nodded approvingly, and Alm just snorted. "Great, you’ll do," Bruno said to the whale lightly.

The whale’s fist glowed, revealing a Yang tattoo. Young Idris watched it with a strange look. "Yang? Are you stupid? My power will nullify..."

"Yes, yes. That’s if you were at an equal or higher level, but your power is less than a drop in the ocean," the whale interrupted, waving lightly.

Crack!

The bloody domain cracked and collapsed, making Idris widen his eyes. The whale’s hand moved, and suddenly Fey felt as if the jaws of a primordial beast were closing around him and swallowing him. In a second, all his power was destroyed, and he found himself being grabbed by the neck.

"Let’s start from the beginning. I was just going to kill you and read your memories, but you’re an idiot... naive and harmless. I’ll give you a chance to live," the whale spoke emotionlessly, and that Fey felt his entire cultivation being completely sealed. He was now a helpless fish on the chopping board. "I’ll read your memories, don’t resist."

There was no argument, and the young one felt his soul and body invaded... but he didn’t resist at all. Alm and Bruno didn’t want to have to kill someone and read their memories, as it could trigger some defense mechanism.

It was common in divine worlds. In addition to a memory block, souls had a defense if a reading was forced; everything was connected to the will in the soul. So, capturing someone and them allowing the reading without resistance was a safe method that wouldn’t trigger total defenses; of course, if they read secret memories, it was another story. But Alm and Bruno only wanted common knowledge information about the planet Gloom; they would seek the rest when it was safer.

It took a few seconds, and the whale extracted everything it wanted and released the boy. He opened his eyes, fearful, but the whale just sighed and sent something to his mind while speaking.

"Study this new way of using the bloody domain. It must be a thousand times better than the one you use." As he spoke, he turned to leave.

They took a step... two... five... until the sound of wings flapping rapidly in their direction sounded, and the whale stopped.

"Sir, wait! This... how... this sacred technique is on a level above even the central technique of my clan."

"Hmm? I just saw what you used and improved it slightly. It’s not a technique."

The whale responded emotionlessly, and Idris was completely stunned. He realized a resemblance to the technique he used, but it was so much more efficient and on such a superior level that it was impossible to reach that conclusion.

"Sir... could you take a look at this?" Idris spoke, and in the same second, his eyes and wings pulsated in a dense red tone.

With a thought, his small body pierced the air with a dominating energy towards the whale. His whole being turned into a blood arrow with an unstoppable momentum... or almost...

Crack!

The Yang tattoo glowed, and with a movement, all the bloody Yin power was sealed. This young one’s power was like a gentle ember, and the tattoo a global-level storm. It was extinguished as if it didn’t even exist.

Idris lost all his power and fell to the ground completely powerless. The whale just thought for five seconds, then sent a subtle energy towards the boy; the next moment, information appeared in his mind.

"There, was that what you wanted? I added a few things to that technique, and the debt is paid. You gave me a little, and I repaid it. Now, goodbye."

The whale spoke emotionlessly and turned away again, leaving. They walked for ten seconds, while the boy quickly read, stunned, the changes in the technique. Suddenly, he looked at the whale’s retreating back, clenched his fists tightly, and moved with all his might.

"Wait, I can still be useful! I can’t accept this just like that; this improvement will benefit my whole clan, I have to repay this debt." He spoke seriously, following the whale.

Alm and Bruno sighed internally. This kid was only 12 years old and had started cultivating a year ago. He was very naive, but from his memories, he was a rare case of an exception to the rule within his clan. He was naturally kind and avoided killing at all costs, while everyone else in his clan killed without hesitation to become strong.

’Well... we gained a useful contact, and it’s not a little girl. We’ll never get close to another one, or Ruri will think strange things,’ Bruno commented lightly. But the next second, he felt a bitter taste; he had just uttered a self-curse.
