Minutes passed, and everyone watching the fight realized that the whale didn’t want to deliver the final blow.
The hero clenched his fists and looked coldly at the whale. He couldn’t intervene, and the whale seemed able to fight the Sacred Heroic Spirit indefinitely. Obviously, this wouldn’t last long, as the heroes of the divine world had already received his warning and that of the formation.
They should already be moving to this planet, but this universe was at least a thousand times larger than a common universe. Even with their maximum power, without the help of the spatial channel that should have formed, with the time that had already passed, it would take them another hour to get here. That hero wanted to deal with the whale and all this place alone before, but this round figure seemed to refuse to let him get his revenge.
After several minutes, Alm and Bruno sighed heavily; there was no viable path. They now had enough points to use the celestial miracle and escape, but the whole planet and all the people would be doomed.
After using the miracle once, they learned of its limitations. They couldn’t take many people with the Space-Time Miracle, there was a limit that wasn’t clear how to increase. But Gaia gave the information that, with the little primordial power they received from the Behemoth, they could enhance the miracles; probably this would increase the scope of the miracle, but it was minimal for the situation and nothing would change.
There were no options, it was better to die along with everyone else. The only path was to use the tattoos and, with the help of the planet’s laws, use maximum and suicidal power with their souls. This hero would die, and they would get their revenge, but then they would only be a wounded divine soul and the planet would still be doomed.
When they finally accepted this resolution, they felt something connect with them. It came directly from the bloodline runes on their bodies, and it was a subtle spiritual presence.
’Young one, thank you for everything. I lived what you lived, heard your story when you told your allies... you came this far, and turned into a thorn for her even being a mortal. But me and all my primordial brothers never managed to resist and go against the queen.’
The voice of the Behemoth sounded in their minds softly. He only had a divine soul now, and in the face of annihilation, he just stood there watching everything.
’I’m finally free... and now I feel... all the celestial hope in you. I’m just a spoiled one who’s always been above everything, that’s why the queen did what she did. Even if I’ve been freed while still alive, it won’t change anything; she’ll end up catching me again, let alone now. I want revenge and I can never live or die while she’s alive.’
The whale snorted dryly. ’Will alone solves nothing. As soon as the annihilation is over, our fate will be sealed.’
The Behemoth fell silent, then a rune linked to the whale’s soul vibrated; it was Gaia. ’Sir, I can help. I haven’t disappointed you and managed to understand the Divine Dao you gave me. I feel like I can use it immediately.’
The formation was destroyed, so Gaia was completely freed. The whale reflected with this new information; he read about the Dao of the God Gaia they compared and handed over to the Gaia of this planet. This Dao, at its first level, could easily connect Gaia to the celestial laws and enhance all his innate abilities.
Suddenly, the Behemoth did something rare and almost unbelievable: he thought with all his might and came up with an idea. As he was with the whale all the time, he saw and knew the full extent of his power; including the celestial miracles. He didn’t see the green screen and the system, but he saw him use everything and understood that power because he was already one with the celestial laws.
’I have the solution!’ He spoke seriously with conviction, then solidified his will to the maximum. ’The life force of my body is gone, and he’s dead. But I was still a primordial beast who lived and accumulated much. My primordial power is still almost intact inside my body, because of this annihilation that sealed him.’
’I can use this!’ Gaia quickly understood and spoke.
The voice of the Behemoth vibrated, he didn’t even believe he came up with this on his own. ’Yes, with the celestial miracle that the missionary possesses, if Gaia uses his power to amplify... yes! We can take the whole planet to another place!’
The exchange lasted for a few seconds as the whale reflected silently. Take the planet to another place? Where? All the universes were under the queen’s control. Taking everyone to the underworld, a Yin world, would mean the death of everyone on the planet, including Gaia, in less than a year. Only those born in that place, or very powerful beings, could live without Yang.
Even if they decided to go to a random place to buy time, if the heroes arrived and saw nothing, it would be obvious what happened. They would quickly ask the queen for help, and she would know where they were. Besides, the hero who was on this planet would be taken along... the Behemoth’s ’brilliant’ idea wouldn’t solve anything.
It was at that moment that the whale let out a dry, villainous laugh in the face of the desperate and unsolvable situation they found themselves in.
At that second, the Behemoth, feeling his malice, remembered his own macabre past that he himself told his allies about when he returned from the underworld. His mind, which had never been properly used, seemed to burn all its neurons for the first time and he could actually think properly sometimes.
The Behemoth spoke lightly. ’There’s a perfect universe for us to go to. The only place where the queen’s influence has been eradicated, in exchange, all life has been extinguished and refined by a macabre and unscrupulous being...’
Alm and Bruno narrowed their eyes. The place was obviously where they came from, and they themselves did everything to end all life. They soon spoke with a sigh. ’It doesn’t change the fact that the queen will find us soon. Not to mention that place is dead, and only lifeless laws and Qi govern everything.’
’Don’t worry about that. I am the Primordial Divine Beast, life, death, and fertile land are born from my bloodline.’ The voice of the Behemoth sounded full of honor and unwavering will. ’That greedy woman may be powerful and above the laws. But I was born from the celestial laws and have been connected to them since the beginning of time. Not even she compares to me when using them.’
The whale snorted dryly in response, but... instinctively felt that that figure, despite everything, was really what he said... or almost.
’Trust me, I will repay my future debt and invest everything I have in you. Just avenge me and bring down that bitch in the future.’ The Behemoth spoke slowly, completely sure of his choice. ’Gaia, help me. Young one, since you’re without anything in your body, it’s the perfect time to rebuild yourself for the first time.’
The whale listened doubtfully, but decided to believe him and accept fate. Quickly, Gaia and the Behemoth, using a bit of their power in the body, worked together.
Suddenly, the whale was in the sky, but felt the earth beneath him become terrifyingly dense. An area of five meters turned black. It was the purest Obsidian, the supreme defense of the laws of the earth.
They quickly understood what needed to be done. With a swift movement, they attacked that poor and last opponent, throwing him several meters away. Then, they descended quickly to the center of the Obsidian.
As soon as they stepped into the place, the earth shook. Suddenly, the Obsidian rose around the whale, enclosing him as if it were a black egg.
The hero looked at that change, surprised and confused. He felt the dense earth laws of the Obsidian, but didn’t worry about the Behemoth. Yet that single Sacred Heroic Spirit immediately roared and attacked with all his might that black egg... but couldn’t even make it tremble.
The whale felt the connection of the egg with the earth, something coming from the opposite side of the continent was linked to this place by Gaia; it was the secret continent. Suddenly, he felt a dense primordial power emerge in the place and accepted it. The Behemoth transferred some of his primordial power to them for rebuilding.
The whale began the process calmly while the annihilation was still active outside; not even he believed he would be doing something so abnormal and crazy in this desperate moment.
Everything was simple and quick for someone experienced like him. In less than an hour his body was almost completely rebuilt using a large amount of primordial power; but for the Behemoth, that didn’t represent even 1% of what he possessed. It was when they were almost finishing that something emerged inside the egg.
’Incorporate this into yourself, I won’t be able to use it anymore.’ The voice of the Behemoth sounded calmly, and the whale accepted without hesitation.
That was the marrow of the Behemoth. He cut the central part that wasn’t excessively large, made the adjustments, and handed it over. It would adapt to the whale’s body because he was originally born with a bloodline so dense that he wasn’t considered human anywhere. Everything was taken from him before he was fully born, but his body still had a connection to everything related to the Behemoth; and now the Behemoth himself handed him and adapted that marrow for him to use.
Alm and Bruno also adjusted their entire bodies so that the marrow became part of them completely. Nothing would be wasted, and after rebuilding themselves several times, they would improve their adaptation to this marrow even more.
In the end, the Behemoth said calmly, ’This marrow will use my blood and bloodline within you to slowly improve and multiply it. You will increasingly cease to be human and become something akin to a primordial beast. Of course, there is a limit; but in a few thousand years, you should be able to reach 80% bestial and the rest human. In return, your adaptation to primordial power and celestial laws will be even greater.’
The whale nodded, feeling his new body radiating a unique and unexplored power by them. The black egg began to crack slowly. It was at that moment that the voice of the Behemoth sounded for the last time.
’It was fun to see the world again through you. As for that human woman... she was really strange and fervent with her love. But you haven’t lost her completely yet. Gaia, get ready.’
The whale emerged again, and on his face, there was only an infinite will; after the Behemoth’s confirmation, Ruri wasn’t completely gone. He was now completely renewed, with his new body still round and shining as if he were a newborn.
With just one breath, he felt all the laws of the earth of the entire planet under his domain, without even needing to use his tattoos.
"Come," the whale said dryly to the Sacred Heroic Spirit.
That figure roared and attacked furiously, but the whale just snorted and punched.
BOOM!
All the electrical power, his runes, and the entire existence of that figure exploded violently with a single move.
The hero saw everything and widened his eyes, thinking in shock: ’He rebuilt himself? How... how did his power seem to multiply hundreds of times?’
The skies stirred as if letting out a furious snort. Then finally, the clouds dispersed... it was finally the end...
The whale just thought about the system, and the green screen appeared after accepting all the rewards from the main quest.
[Miracles available: 03]
[Celestial Points for use: 140]
[NOTE: With each use of a miracle, the points of that miracle are multiplied by 3]
[Natural Life Miracle] [30 Celestial Points]
[Miracle of Physical, Mental, and Spiritual Rebirth] [30 Celestial Points]
[Space-Time Miracle] [30 Celestial Points]
They already had twenty points saved that had no use. After completing the tattoo technique, they gained +20; after conquering the Pristine planet, +10; and with the reward from the Golden Main Quest, +90.
There were no doubts about what to do, and they just left their fate in the hands of the Behemoth and Gaia. The Space-Time Miracle was selected again and accepted in the same second. Quickly, new information emerged in the whale’s mind. With each new use, the cost increased, but it seems that the miracle leveled up. But now, those new insights made no difference; everything was in the hands of Gaia and the Behemoth.
The hero watched as the dark clouds in the sky dispersed and grinned maliciously. He had to wait until everything dispersed completely, which would take no more than a minute. It was in that second that he felt a disturbance in the celestial laws and turned towards the whale, completely stunned.
Meanwhile, the whale was looking in his direction and grinned villainously at him. "The fun isn’t over," his words sounded to the hero like a grim omen, and a cold sweat ran down his spine.
Suddenly, the entire planet pulsated, and all the lands and waters seemed to gain their own radiant glow. Everything was covered by pure and immaculate primordial power.
The celestial laws of the universe seemed to break and roar. Everyone on all planets felt something wrong. A strange influence began to disturb the laws, causing a disturbance.
In the same second, the entire Pristine planet began to emit a dazzling light as if it were a new sun in the solar system. Meanwhile, the whale looked at the green screen in front of it.
[Activate the miracle?] [Yes / No]
’Yes’
[Set or confirm its use, in one minute]
The whale grinned maliciously. ’Home. To the land of death, which I created and cultivated with my own hands.’
Whooosh!
The planet’s light pulsated in harmony with cosmic laws and celestial will, creating a frenzy of energy that shook the space around it. Everything around began to distort and unravel in a chaotic dance of colors and shapes. Then, in ten seconds, everything disappeared.
Everything changed so fast that the hero and the people of the planet didn’t have time to reason about what was happening. They were thrown into a new horizon without warning. It was a desolate scene: a barren and broken universe, devoid of stars and life, stretching as far as the eye could see.
The hero felt his connection to the queen being almost completely severed and was completely shocked. In the midst of his stupor, he felt a terrifying and suffocating gaze in his direction. Then, he turned quickly... and his eyes met those of the whale, who was watching him.
A sinister smile appeared on that round face. The hero felt suffocated but quickly activated all the power he had.
"What the hell did you do?!" The bewildered hero roared, but there was no answer. The whale laughed, a laughter filled with malice that echoed through the void.
"Fuck. Think you can beat me? The Goddess is supreme, whether I have much or little of her grace. An insect like you doesn’t stand a chance."
The whale laughed villainously. A suffocating sensation made the hero choke, not understanding what was happening. The whale laughed villainously for a few seconds, then stopped and spoke slowly:
"Indeed. But... you’re in Devil’s Lair now, hehehe."
Suddenly, the hero felt his entire body... soul... heroic power... his entire existence petrified completely.
He only had time to instinctively move his eyes. Then he looked up... into the empty space. There, he had a vision that made his entire soul tremble and desperately beg for freedom or death... or it would be too late, and he wouldn’t even have a chance to choose death.
A black presence enveloped in a macabre aura like a black star emerged.
