The patriarch stopped and watched as the whale took a step forward with a cold look. He smiled disdainfully; did he want to resist? The whale took the second step, and when the third landed, the air around them roared violently. Powerful astral winds seemed to emerge from within the whale’s body, and instinctively, the patriarch’s heart pounded frantically.

"Is that the physical body of a human?" The words escaped his mouth.

All physical cultivation was activated, and at the same time, the earth below him cracked with his leap forward. It was only at this moment that the patriarch calmed down after being a little surprised, and he punched forward.

BOOM!

From above, completely obscured by the laws of the winds, the high elders looked astonished amid the dust and rising earth. The patriarch took several steps back, and his fist had a trace of blood. On the other side, sounds of the earth breaking with a figure rolling and spitting blood echoed.

Loeus seized the moment and dragged Langrum and Almin far away. The high elders above noticed this but didn’t care much. The patriarch didn’t use his full power and only counterattacked carelessly, so he retreated a bit. Still, he didn’t believe for a moment that this disciple could do anything against him, surprising him.

’It was a desperate attempt with everything he had.’ He thought with a slight smile and turned his gaze forward. It was at that moment that he felt his skin tingling and an instinctive sense of danger fell upon him.

He only had time to turn his body when he saw a violet shadow entering metamorphosis. Then, the entire desert night seemed to change as a golden sun illuminated the ground.

BOOM!

The golden light seemed to swallow the world in one go with an unstoppable force. Up above, all the wind laws twisted and were forcibly pushed several meters in all directions before the shockwave.

An area of dozens of meters opened up like a crater in the middle of the desert, and around that area, its sands created the largest sandstorm the desert had ever seen.

When the elders stabilized, they focused on the center, and their eyes widened. They saw the patriarch lying on the ground, and blood was splattered around him. The image lasted for a few seconds, and then the elders sighed in relief as the patriarch got up a little shakily.

His expression was contorted, and his gaze was pointed somewhere. On his chest, a gigantic open wound revealed his bones and some of his organs. It was a clean and brutal cut from a blade that broke through his defenses.

Following the patriarch’s eyes, they saw the whale standing there, covered in blood, breathing heavily. On its back was a little girl with her arms entwined around its neck. Then the patriarch looked to his side, glimpsing pieces of bones that once formed a powerful saber.

’Damn, our total surprise attack wasn’t even close to enough. He still has 70% of his overall strength remaining at least,’ Bruno spoke with coldness.

Alm murmured in response. ’Ruri’s bone saber’s Yin power was detonated, along with all the power of the hero she could withstand. The saber, made from bones of an abyssal creature, managed to penetrate through the defenses as we predicted. If he weren’t a physical cultivator, he would have died. It was a gamble, maybe the only chance we had, but we lost.’

’Not yet.’ Bruno said seriously.

’What do you intend to do? If we can save this girl, I don’t mind losing this body and starting cultivation from scratch.’ Alm replied, snorting.

Bruno sighed at Alm’s rare sincerity and said, ’Maybe blowing ourselves up will work, but there’s another thing we haven’t used. That new technique... even the queen was shaken by it.’

’And how is that different from blowing ourselves up? If we try that, we’ll explode before we even manage to attack with the technique. With only our souls remaining, we’ll have to injure ourselves severely to save her.’ Alm retorted seriously.

’Maybe the chance of it working is 1%. But there’s a way.’ Bruno spoke, sensing Ruri’s condition as she breathed heavily. ’Before, we had to adapt Yin Energy to replace the infernal laws. Then we used the bestial bloodline to change the physical body and a demonic technique for the power of the soul.’

Alm nodded; they used the principle of the Soul Eaters’ demonic race technique and managed to create something new, somehow.

Bruno continued. ’Now we have the original infernal laws, and if we add Ruri’s mental power along with our soul, we can create a different version, but still powerful.’

’It’s possible to use it with that, indeed. But this technique affects the user, and don’t forget its power destroyed the body of a hero at the peak of the mortal cultivation before. If we manage to use it at a level that takes out this patriarch, our bodies will turn to dust along with it.’ Alm replied dryly.

’That’s the key. In the second level of physical cultivation, the first stage is for the bones. We’ve already completed the strength, flesh, and viscera stages. All these stages are to strengthen the body and allow us to start the meridian training.’ Bruno clenched the whale’s fists seriously, and Alm understood immediately.

The meridians were indeed the most crucial part of a cultivator’s body. If the core was destroyed, the spiritual root, or anything else. With the meridians, they could restart cultivation and remake them. But without them, everything ended forever because they could no longer advance in cultivation.

After reaching the second level in physical cultivation, the two understood. The meridian training came after all four body stages so the body could serve as support for the meridians. The first four stages, once completed, acted as a single unit, adding up and creating a vital defense for the meridians. Thus, what Bruno was suggesting was that with this defense, they would have a chance to survive.

’You want to do something insane to complete the bone training again. Great, if we succeed, we’ll gain much more than just survival.’ Alm spoke ominously.

It all lasted for ten seconds, and the patriarch was still silent and incredulous, looking at the whale. Soon, against all expectations, the whale snorted, and two tattoos on its fists glowed.

Two seconds passed, and then the patriarch, along with all the high elders, let their jaws drop in disbelief at what they felt. The entire Qi of the whale and the little girl was replenished before their eyes. What kind of divine technique was this? Everyone wondered without knowing the shocking amount of resources burned for it.

In five seconds, the whale released the little girl to the ground. Despite Ruri having her Qi replenished, she was still spiritually exhausted from using the hero’s power. Soon, the air distorted, and the whale ran forward towards the astonished patriarch.

"You have many secrets. Great." He spoke with greedy eyes, and now he wouldn’t dare to hold back and advanced with his whole body.

The whale’s fists were still illuminated with two tattoos. They both ran, and when they were five meters apart, the patriarch noticed something curious. The whale’s eyes bled, and a line of blood ran from its mouth.

They closed in, a few inches from the collision; they extended their fists forward in a full attack. The whale was completely injured from the first move, and surely, this was its last desperate strike. The space between them distorted, and the two fists touched... or almost.

BOOM!!!

A seismic tremor shook the entire desert, felt within the desert city as the harbinger of the end times. In the world of evil cultivators, the black elf who was meditating in his chambers opened his eyes, then he felt a slight tremor. It was almost imperceptible to most, but even within that world, it could be felt.

Back in the battle, all the high elders who were observing from above were no longer in the sky. They were all covered in sand and their own blood, already on the ground. That power directly destroyed all the laws that hid them; it took several seconds for them to get up, and their minds were blank, unable to comprehend anything anymore.

It was in that second that everyone felt their bodies petrify, and all the Qi in their cores and meridians seemed to evaporate, leaving them and returning to the world. A tremendous pressure fell upon their souls and bodies, something indescribable that made them fall to their knees in the sand. Blood seemed to flow backward and escape from their bodies, but they couldn’t feel any pain. They just looked up.

Above the clouds, a divine wave eclipsed all the light coming from the stars. Then, a round figure shimmered in a grayish aura. The yin and Yang of the world seemed to have materialized in that non-human form. By its side, holding its hand, a small figure radiating a violet power ignited, and its power soared.

The grayish and violet powers mixed, creating multicolored phenomena across the desert. The people in the city looked up, and almost everyone fell to their knees, uttering some incomprehensible words.

Up high, the whale took a deep breath, feeling its bones as hard as the hardest divine steel. The bone training was successfully completed. They exploded half of all their abyssal crystals directly into their bodies to achieve this breakthrough. A single millimeter wrong, and the whale would die, but it was a success.

At that moment, Ruri made a move, clinging to the back of the whale and fainting as all her mental power was given away. The whale then snorted, closing its eyes, and in the next second, the world changed again.

All the phenomena were suddenly erased, as if the whale had swallowed everything within it. Alm and Bruno once again felt something deep from their souls merge with the power; but they also felt the same coming from Ruri being added. They wondered if their technique was really as they had imagined... perhaps there was something hidden, something that was the true foundation of this power, not the energies and laws they had assumed. When they opened their eyes again, their gaze met the patriarch, completely paralyzed, staring at them.

The patriarch had a high-level soul due to his cultivation and managed to stabilize himself. He felt death approaching clearly, and in despair, he no longer cared about the black elf and tried to release his cultivation. But, this six-ring pill was not something made in that world, as Alm and Bruno initially thought; it came from the divine realm. This poor patriarch couldn’t remove the seals on his core no matter how hard he tried.

Despair took hold of him, so his last resort was used. He ignited all the Celestial Laws of his body as fuel. At that moment, the whale saw a subtly bluish aura coursing through the patriarch; then, they fully saw and felt those laws for the first time.

In the next moment, the whale blinked, and there was another change. The patriarch, looking at the whale, rolled his eyes, and his face twisted in complete despair. A Celestial Blue aura, conveying a sense of serenity, purity, and transcendence, pervaded the whale intensely.

These laws were the complete opposite of the infernal laws, being almost pure Yang. Bruno understood them almost in the same second and managed to use them because they really had a large amount invisible around them. These laws were strange and only revealed themselves to those who understood them, but around them, the laws seemed to pulsate as if the power had slowly increased.

They didn’t say anything and only a satisfied smile permeated their lips. They extended their right arm, opening their palm, and then their lips moved.

"Eclipsing Divinity!"

In the same second, the figures of the two patriarchs appeared a few kilometers away. They just saw the whole world fade away and felt all existence and life below turn into nothing.
